Trey is a rockstar. I rent Alamo all the time and needed help with getting a bigger vehicle because I was in a smaller vehicle and he’s able to put me in one right away without any issues. The young man is very professional and courteous and definitely definitely an asset to the company. Took care of all our needs. Thanks Trey

Vacation was great until I lost the keys to the rental car.
Called Alamo and they had the car towed. The next day I called the Alamo at Des Moines airport, where I rented the vehicle, and talked to Enid.
She was able to get us another car, Enterprise picked us up at our hotel and took us to their office for a replacement vehicle. The people at Enterprise were waiting for us and had the car ready. We were able to get home on time and no fuss. Adrian and Kyle were super helpful when I dropped the car off. Thank you so much all of you.
Customer service is not dead in the Midwest.

10-21-21. The clerk was super polite and professional. She offered a slight discount since the car I reserved was not available. I travel a fair amount and can't tell you how nice it was to be treated like a customer, not just a reservation number. Job well done Alamo. You have my business.

My most recent experience at Alamo (DSM Airport) was one of the best customer service experiences that I have ever had. From the online reservation process to dropping the car off after a long trip...it was awesome!
When I picked up the car, the Alamo representative at the counter asked about my travel plans, family, work, etc....like a friend. When he found out that we were driving 16 hours (one way) for a funeral, he said "you need a more comfortable vehicle" and upgraded us from a standard SUV to a luxury SUV at no additional cost.
Amazing customer service all the way around...I will not rent from anyone other than Alamo!

Check in was very fast and efficient. The gal at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The car I received had an odd odor in it when you first got into the car, I never could figure out what it was but it was not bad enough to bother me once I got in. It was only noticeable every time I got into the vehicle.
The return process was quick and easy as well. I informed the gut that that checked me in about the odor he stated that they would treat the interior before sending it back out.
Overall I had an excellent experience with Alamo in DSM last weekend.

I rented a 15 passenger van from Alamo, and got a fantastic price on it. It was a 2018, so it was in great condition, and served my group of 9 well on our trip from Iowa to Orlando and back. To be honest, before this rental, I had usually gone with another company. But given the price I was quoted, I decided to give Alamo a try. Long story short, I have another car rental coming up next month, and I went straight to Alamo for that one!

Quick, easy, efficient, seamless. Granted it was Des Moines so not a large airport, but the Alamo staff made it very easy and pleasant. They offer me my choice of cars within the price range I'd reserved. I chose the Altima (as reserved). What a great car. Turning the car back in was just as smooth as picking it up! Alamo had a great rate as well.

Very accommodating rental agent. Explained my needs and he searched all available cars to find the best one that would work. Carrying a relative with her wheelchair, extra luggage, dog carrier and dog. All items fit just fine and car was not to high for her to get into. Thanks for helping! Great car. Brand New! Nice and clean and fresh. I do miss the CD player though.

Fast in/out at counter. Staff very courteous. Nice ride, to boot! (2018 Cadillac XTS) Rental was booked through Costco website, way better experience than other brand also used by Costco. (Not wishing to cast aspersions, the company rhymes with 'winter-thighs'...customer service ranged from poor to non-existent) not the case with Alamo. Will use Alamo again when opportunity arises. Class. Act.

The car was wonderful, reservations easy and the people were friendly. I've always used enterprise in the past. Not anymore! With the booking now online savings plus everything else that was great, Alamo is now my rental car company! Thank you for a great experience.

I've rented with Alamo several times and have never had an issue. Their pricing is reasonable and their cars are always new (within 1 year). Highly recommended.

At Punta Gordo airport location the staff asked pertinent questions about luggage and number of riders and we realized we would need an upgrade. So thankful for the expertise and professionalism, not to mention the great price on the upgrade. Just made an Alamo customer for life.

This was My first time ever renting a car on a visit back to Iowa family, I was so very pleased with help from Alamo agent Max who was kind and extremely helpful when I was unsure how to start the car. I drive a 1991 Saab during the summer (It's a red convertible) it starts like any 20th century vehicle. In the winter I drive a Forester AWD vintage 1999. Newer cars are a mystery to me.
Max asked if I would like a Volks Wagon Beetle, and I was thrilled, it was red and beautiful but it was a new car and I wasn't sure why it wouldn't turn over. Max gave me a quick tutorial and spotted the problem within minutes, it was me, not putting my foot on the brake. I felt stupid but grateful and was on my way. Once I felt comfortable with the acceleration and braking I was in love. I would buy this car if I could. It was perfect for my needs during the week long Iowa visit, and returning the car was a simplified process. The car was spotless and everything worked, the a/c was in demand and kept me cool. The experience could not have been better. Thank you.

Awesome experience at the Alamo at the Des Moines airport. Usually dread car rentals but Michael made the experience great. Huge shout out to Michael and his excellent customer service!

I would like to give huge Kudos to Grant and his team who work for Alamo car rental at the Airport Terminal! Grant helped me with my car rental on Late Thursday night and guided me to the best vehicle he had for my 18 hour long drive! Thanks very much for the all the help Grant!

I would highly like recommend this location! Had a reservation with another company at 10p. On a Saturday and got there and they were closed. Called Almo and they were open late got me a car set up in minutes. Best customer service I ever had renting a car, plus car was very nice

Never had a problem with Alamo. They are efficient, friendly and professional. I suggest you join their affinity program. Once I left a book in the car and they found it.

It was a very good experience for us. I was especially grateful that they waited for us " after hours." Our flight arrived at 11:39 pm after they're closing time of 11 o'clock. They made a notation of it and so graciously waited for us.
