Created before city was still named FORT DES MOINES. Founding Fathers found natural underground spring (currently piped into City of Des Moines Water Works), believing that NO human ought want for natural water needs. Created the 365/7 Lions Head Fountain. Any human, residents and immigrants & Refugees, ALL. Have access 24/7 to the most critical need to survive. Personally, still use fountain this day. Just off MLK EAST/WEST 1 block South on Scott and S.E.11. No swings OR playground. Basic picnic table, benches and flowers for reflection 🙂🙄☺😊😎
