Louie's Wine Dive

They have an exquisite selection of fine wine. I opted for the $13 Cabernet. Great food and great place to go for wine. Don’t park in the crow tow away zone behind Campbells Nutrition.

Personally, I am not into these types of places. First of all, I don't drink any alcohol due to medication, and when I partake in an occasional drink, I never did like wine. Third, I am an old farm boy who is country fied. However, my wife likes these, and my mother did not raise a fool. With that said, I found this facility quite nice with friendly service. The food was very good. The live band was good as well. All said and done, the place was packed, and the staff was great. It's definitely a place to check out.

Recently enjoyed this lovely spot for sipping a glass of 🍷. I dislike the way most alcohol tastes and makes me feel, but I do enjoy a glass of red wine in a fine glass. Enjoyed the Peanut Butter burger in honor of a great Iowan . Definitely recommend joining the fed club at Louie’s!

The night was awesome.

Delicious food and great service served up on a Monday evening. I enjoyed the jazzy vibe, and saw that they advertise live music on Wednesday evenings. If I am in town I would definitely enjoy that. Fish and chips were a nice treat with good quality Alaskan Cod and generous portions.

Super loud the night I went but that is to be expected. Great food! Excellent Mocktails if you don't srink too! Had Beinette for sessert

The fries were delicious too.

The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere was very nice. They have a cool outdoor patio as well.

The food is delicious and staff is friendly. My wife and I enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour lunch relaxing in the great atmosphere.

One of my favorite places to eat... any time of the week! The service here is amazing. Whether you want recommendations for wine or food, the staff knows their stuff. The menu is a phenomenal mix of pastas, meats, salads, appetizers and dessert. Smaller menu with seasonal specials; they do it right!

I love the champagne fish and chips. Their pasta dishes are great. If you want a serving of steak, order it medium rare and be prepared for flavorful melt-in-your mouth dish.

Make sure to sign up for their wine club and take advantage of their awesome wine service and selection. Can noot recommend this place enough!

This is a great place for celiacs to eat! Food is delicious, service is friendly & there are so many gluten free options... but also great options for your non celiac companions. We love the fried cheese curds & the French fries are hot, crispy & perfectly salted. Extensive drink menu & delicious mocktails. Go eat here.... you'll be glad you did!

Waiter was awesome, very friendly. Salad was amazing and on special. Blackened chicken added to salad was on point. Will be going back for this same dish very soon. Can’t wait until the patio opens.

We were warmly welcomed by John on a weekday for lunch. We sought out the restaurant because of its gluten free food. We received attentive friendly service from our server Erica.

Amazing service and everything on the menu is delicious. A little fancy but mostly a fun atmosphere. Staff is really friendly and personable.

Louie's Wine Dive is one of our favorite weekend brunch spots in Des Moines. My favorite item on the brunch menu is the SCB burger (actually, I'm not quite sure what SCB stands for). I usually add an egg to the burger to make it more of a "breakfast" item. What really makes the burger unique is the sweet and smokiness from the bacon jam. We usually combine our brunch with a large carafe of mimosa to make the meal spectacular (or at least that's how my wife remembers it after a few glasses). The service is great and the decor is a cozy bar with a giant bronze pig at the entry way. If there is one gripe about this place, is that the price is slightly high for Midwest standards.

Good place with many gluten free options. The host John was friendly and helpful. Erica ,our waitress, was attentive and knowledgeable.

Appetizers are great! We had the chicken sandwich and salad/fish and chips 2 course lunch. All very great!

Went here for my prom dinner and it was delicious! They had the most amazing mock tails and my had ginger beer which was amazing since I haven’t had any since my trip to the UK. The fish and chips were also delicious as well as my friends' salad which I tried a bit of. The service was amazing and we got sat immediately even though we were a little early for our reservation. Definitely will be coming again!

Wonderful food, helpful wait staff, and free jazz! Would highly recommend!
