Everyone is so kind and caring and I consider Dr. COMITO to be my dog’s pediatrician and trusted animal advocate. Ernie goes there for the treats, of course, and I go there for the kind and caring staff. Always appreciate the good prices and help I get from Amber getting him to my truck! Good people ❤🐶

We love Dr. Comito! He takes excellent care of our pets and it is well-worth the short trip from Ankeny to Polk City.

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Comito for 15 years. I would not take my pets anywhere else. Very caring And reasonably priced. They are good with pets. I will always go there with whatever animals I have.

Dr Comito and his staff took excellent care of my red heeler. Their loving care help give her a good long life. It was incredibly hard to say goodbye to her but everyone was kind and so supportive.

We love Dr. Comito!!! He has treated our two dogs and one cat with so much caring (even though one of our dogs is very anxious). Dr. Comito was formerly part of the faculty at Iowa State and is very knowledgeable. And, the office is conveniently open on Saturdays!

I recently moved to town and was looking for somewhere to get my dog spayed. When your first experience at a vet is trusting them to anesthetize and operate on your dog, you want the best. I was able to find that at Polk City Vet, I went under recommendation from a friend and had a great experience. My pup’s incision is healing up very nicely, it looks great, and Dr.Pam even hid all of the stitches so she has had nothing to mess with. I had all of my questions answered and I was able to drop her off and pick her up after the surgery on the same day.

Nice small town veterinary clinic. Reasonably priced. Very caring. Dr Comito is personable, down to earth, and knowledgeable.

Dr. Comito is BY FAR the most skilled, compassionate, caring, competent, experienced, Fantastic veterinarian anywhere. He genuinely cares about the animals - is reasonably priced- and is wonderful- everyone in his office is lovely.
He also has additional experience in animal physiology. Excellent excellent

Dr Comito is the best! He has taken great care of our animals but I especially appreciate the care he gives to my family if we have to put a pet to sleep which unfortunately is part of having a pet. He has huge heart!

Dr. Comito is a great vet. He loves our Beagles (probably because he has one). He did a great job removing a lump from Bunny Beagle's backside and did let us know what could happen but we trusted him. She is doing just great.

I would not take my dogs to anyone else. I live in Des Moines and my dogs have been going to Polk City Vet for almost 10 years since they were pups. I will drive this far because he is so good and very reasonable. He does not overcharge and you are not just a number and a $ sign. I recommend him to everyone I know.

Dr. Comito is the best. I live in Waukee and it is definitely worth the drive to take my dog here. The Dr. is compassionate, trustworthy and his prices are very reasonable. I recommend him to people all the time!

A caring veterinarian. Small town atmosphere in a growing suburb of Des Moines. Reasonable prices and very caring. Our dogs actually like coming to this vet.
