The Porch

Arrived around 5, Sunday. Wasn't too busy that we couldn't get a table, unfortunately we sat near the patio door exit and there were a lot of kids in the room who were tired of eating with their parents and the kids were going in and out in and out in and out in and out, we stopped counting after 50 times the door had opened and slam shut right behind us.
Service was fast, food was wonderful, highly recommend the Cuban sandwich.
Crinkle fries were really good and sweet potato fries were a surprisingly sweet as they were dusted with cinnamon and sugar, but they were excellent

Our servers were plenty friendly and attentive to us. From giving us a heads up on the daily specials to checking up on our opinions of the food, these workers displayed excellent customer service.

The atmosphere inside reminded me of a barbecue restaurant I used to eat at a while ago. Only this place looked more modern. I was important at how many different TVs were hung up on each wall.

It didn’t take too long for our food to be served. I ordered the BBQ Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. I found the burger to be excellent; the burger was juicy and tender, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the barbecue sauce was a fine balance of sweet and savory.

As for the sweet potato fries, the one detail that kept them from being perfect was the brown sugar sprinkled on top. It made the side dish too sweet for my taste. Otherwise, they were crispy and perfectly browned. None of them were dry. The normal fries weren’t very crispy by comparison.

The pickle spears served were fresh and crisp. Some restaurants that have served pickle spears usually couldn’t reach this level of quality.

Overall, I found this to be a solid choice for dinner.

Very very good spot for a Sunday meal, there were tons of ppl there, but mostly playing beach vb outside, so plenty of seating available inside. The food was awesome, and the fries were definitely in my top 5. Staff was friendly and I was overall very impressed. I will definitely be coming back the next time we're in the area

I stumbled upon this gem in one of my frequent visits to Omaha. I'm from Des Moines so I'm happy we found a local, delicious place to eat in Council Bluffs! The first time we came we got the Mac & Steak and it is so delicious! I have been back several times and I get that every time! I did try the white chicken chili soup the first time I went but wasn't really a fan. However, the Steak and Mac is so good that we have even brought friends and family from Des Moines to try! Service is always friendly and tables are nice and clean. The bathrooms always seem decent when I'm there and they even provide feminine products, which I think is great! You should definitely give this locally owned, amazing place a try!

The Porch was a delicious lunch choice! Had a side of macaroni as I had heard it was amazing -- they have MANY choices for flavor but the side alone was awesome. I also ordered the Avocado Sandi and it was also great-- full of flavors and texture that you can't pass up!

I met a friend for lunch on a Saturday (we both live an hour away from CB so it was a great mid-point spot). I ordered the Steak Bites as a meal and savored every tender bite. She ordered the Taco Salad (it was a little bit “meh”). I included a side of Sweet Potato Fries with cinnamon and sugar, which were to die for! The VERY next day a couple of friends and I drove back to CB to the casinos. I suggested The Porch for dinner and they LOVED it! I ate every last bite of my Bacon Blue Burger (I just HAD to get the Sweet Potato Fries again!) and my friend enjoyed her Mexican Wrap very much! Service was perfect, prices were fair, bathroom was clean and food was a 10/10! Couldn’t ask for more! I’ll definitely be back!

We shared a casual family dinner early on a Saturday evening. The portions were generous and the burgers yummy. We enjoyed the waffle fries especially. We liked the pickle fries but our batch was a bit over done and very salty. Our food was very quick. There are lots of screens playing a variety of programming. There was a juke box too. Bathrooms were clean.

Highly recommend!! Everyone (even the picky one) thought their food was excellent. We had a grilled chicken salad, chicken & wild rice soup, pepperoni pizza and brisket mac & cheese. The staff was welcoming & friendly. Food came out of the kitchen quickly & was reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back!

First time trying this restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good size portions so that always makes me happy!!! I had the special of the day hot roast beef sandwich and my wife order the mac and cheese pizza and she said she was in pizza heaven. The hamburgers looks good and good size from what I saw. Can't wait to try more dishes.

I loved this place so much I went twice during my stay down. The bartenders/servers are wonderful people who make you feel really special. I loved the fact that you can do a BYOBurger such a great idea!!

A Nebraskan native exploring what Council Bluffs, Iowa has to offer. In terms of food, started the journey off right by coming to “The Porch”. The food was amazing, so fresh, juicy and irresistible. I got the all Seven burger w/ waffle fries and pickle fries for an appetizer. The portions are great, especially for guy (and family) that likes to eat. Definitely worth the money! Stop by and your tastebuds will thank you! By the way, Lisa, Collin and Haley are awesome!

Fabulous food! They are a busy bar and grill they also have an outdoor area with volleyball, cornhole and other activities. The prices are fair for the large amount of food you get. Service was good despite being super busy! This will be a future repeat on my next trip up.

Rolling through the area and decided to give it a try, great reviews drew me in.
It's taco Tuesday, so of course I got the taco special, delicious! Fried flour tortillas, juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken with a side of rice and beans. Make sure to add the roasted red tomato salsa. Yummy
Staff is very friendly. Will definitely stop in again when I'm rolling through town.

My first time to this very welcoming bar and grill! The staff was more than friendly and helpful. I had the mac n cheese pizza, which was super yummy! My wife had the "special of the day" which they have every day. Today(Friday) was hot beef. And all dailies come with dessert! You definitely need to come down to The Porch for food and drinks!

The restaurant has perfected the feeling of a small town café with a menu that includes something to keep the whole group happy. Food quality was great, the staff was extremely friendly and the décor exactly fit the vibe. This place is a must stop if you are in the area! Very kid friendly.

Went on a double date with some friends. We all decided to try a new place out and wanted a good burger. We ended up at The Porch. Parking wasnt the greatest but we managed to get a spot. It was open seating and they had tables set up to CDC standards. Was greeted right away. We started off with appetizers one having the tater tot nachos and the other with fried onion pedals with homemade ranch. They were both delicious. We also ordered mac N cheese for the little one, and oh my goodness was he enjoying it. We all got The Seven burger, two patties, three slices of cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. Wow! Had to take half of it home. Service was good did get the side of curly fried mixed up with tots, but it was quickly fixed. All in all it was a good experience and we all would recommend this place. We will be back for sure.

Food is Awesome. Steak bites are great. The judge burger is the best. The turkey got Dameron is outstanding. The Judge and Turkey sandwich are enormous. Service is excellent. Eating here is a must. The beef is all local and real.

First time at The Porch and did not disappoint. Our server/bartender was awesome. She was attentive, friendly and did an excellent job. My salad came out fast and before my burger which was great because a peave of mine is when the salad comes out at the same time. The ranch was homemade and delicious. My burger was ginormous, juicy and very good. My gf had the Buffalo chicken wrap and she loved it. She took the other half to work for lunch the next day. The onion pedals were a little over done, but now I'm just nit picking. Absolutely will be back because there was several other items I wanted to try on the starter menu and the sandwich menu. Highly recommend The porch. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. You don't have to take my word for it, come and give it a shot for yourself. Worth the trip.

To start this off, I am 100% heartbroken that the fried avocado that is mentioned in their reviews in the past and shown in older photos is no longer available. It was my inspiration for going and I was so looking forward to them.

Now, I decided to still eat there.

I ordered the sirloin bites (sans horseradish sauce.) They were quite good. Very tender. I am sure many people will say I violated good steak with ketchup, but I am okay with that.

Got the pulled pork sandwich and a side salad. The salad was larger than I was expecting, but decent. They added chopped red onions for me that is not normally on it. The ranch was good, but the cups were small. I ended up asking for a second cup and when the bill came at the end I was a little surprised to see a 50 cent charge for the extra ranch.

The sandwich was disappointing. Not enough meat compared to the size of the bun at all. I ended up picking the top bun off and eating the pork with a fork. This would have been greatly improved with about double the meat and the onions being a crispy style instead of just sliced red onion rings.

Probably won't return unless they can bring back the avocado.

I love going here! Their Mac and Steak is the best. I've also had their Buffalo pizza and their crust is good. I also love that they have multiple types of fries. Just recently tried some of their drinks. Jodi's lemonade 👌.
