Main Street Cafe

The staff was extremely friendly and very nice. Our waitress was patient when we couldn't decide on what we wanted. The inside felt like grandma house with old photos and knick-knacks on the shelves. The tables were clean and food was pretty good. I would recommend if you are wanting something less crowded and breakfast in the afternoon like we wanted.

I loved sharing this cute little place with my daughter. Now we love taking her daughter there. Soon we're going to take her son. It's become a favorite place to go. The staff are friendly, great food but my family and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely recommend this quaint little place.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Gives you that small town, local diner that everyone goes to kinds of like the one on Andy Griffith show. Will definitely be coming back here a lot more.

Love this place! Very small town, homey feel. Ordered one biscuit with sausage gravy and one egg, I got two biscuits with sausage gravy and two eggs all for five bucks. It was super good, I love supporting small businesses. The portions are huge for the low price, but that does not affect the quality. I don't come to Iowa often but I'm glad I came to Main street cafe for breakfast. 😊

We had breakfast, ham and cheese omelette and western omelette. My wife said the h&c omelette was best she’s ever had. The hash browns were very good. Great food and great value! The service was friendly and attentive.

Nice cozy little place just across the street from the park. Service was polite and very efficient. The server made me feel like if I wanted to loiter after eating it would be fine, but I need to move on. It is diner food, nothing fancy but good sized portions at a good price. Will definitely be back.

Can’t say enough good about this place. The decor is amazing, they go all out for every holiday. The food is fantastic & priced totally reasonable. Friendly staff & the locals are all great.

I was waiting for my vehicle to get repaired, so we found this neat little cafe just down the street from the shop. I had the biscuit and sausage gravy with hashbrowns and toast, and my buddy had a breakfast sandwich. The food was really good and everything we needed before getting back on the road to Wisconsin! The atmosphere fit the feel of the town, which was turn of the century and old timey, but it was fun. Lots of stuff to look at in the cafe as you're waiting for your food. Our waitress was on top of everything and was awesome. If you're ever in Council Bluffs and you're looking for some food with a cool atmosphere, definitely stop here!

My nine year old and his friends absolutely loved this place. So much so, in fact, he suggested we write a review which is the first time that has ever happened.

"This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life ever. The food came out really fast, they had tons of stuff I liked, and I just really liked it."

So there you go. I agree it was exactly what we wanted in a breakfast place. Service was super friendly. Prices were notably low in this time of ridiculous charges everywhere. Everything we ordered hit the spot which was true for everyone in our mixed group of eight.

Very cozy, old school atmosphere. Food was great and service perfect. Sausage biscuit and gravy and French toast was delicious. Husband loved the all meat skillet. We will definitely be back. Great comfort food. Cannot beat the price!!

Cute and cozy lil cafe! Stopped here on our way home to Colorado from Michigan and the food was very good! Service was awesome, our server was very attentive and kind. Definitely recommend for a good breakfast!

Great food, great price and excellent service! The reason I say excellent is because there was only one waitress, yellow shirt (sorry I do not remember her name, shame on me!) that was hustling around taking orders, serving door and being cashier! You go girl!! Even after running all around, she was very pleasant and apologized for our wait time, which we did not mind waiting for a little bit to be helped. GOOD JOB YELLOW SHIRT GIRL!!
