Jimmy's All American Malt Shop & Grill

Awesome "old school" burger joint! We were driving through town and decided to try it to go. Had a couple burgers, fries and a root beer float to share. Got our food fast and hot and we were on our way. Has a cool atmosphere with all kinds of pictures and posters on the walls, neon lighting, juke box music selector boxes in the booths, etc. Will be back with friends to enjoy this gem when we have more time.

I stopped by with friends on bikes. Had a yummy root beer float. Service was great! Would love to see a bike rack in front.

Very good. Reminds me of old diners i went to work my parents. Soda fountain, malt shop, foot longs that are actually a foot long! 1950s decor. At-table jukebox that only costs a nickel.

Tried this for the first time today. Loved the atmosphere, and the food and service was excellent. I had the tenderloin. We plan on coming back for sure.

The people here were so nice! The atmosphere is beautiful, it reminds me of a favorite place back home! Malt was a bit pricey but that's OK!

This particular establishment had excellent customer service. At point of entry I was greeted by almost the entire staff with a happy hello. The food was different from what I have been told it would be. (everyone told me not to go here) From my experience here it was actually very delightful. The Tenderloin sandwich was pretty accurate to the depicted image that is displayed which is a plus. I skipped the fries and went with mashed potatoes and I for sure did not regret that decision. If you were to ask me as a Google reviewer if I were to revisit this place, I definitely would. I absolutely do not regret deciding to have a meal here. I feel that anyone could come down here and enjoy themselves and also have a very relaxing and motivating conversation with the owner, who was present and very cheerful and inviting. Overall, great customer service, great management, great food and a great experience.

Great atmosphere. Love the decorating. Definitely need to continue to develop the staff. Food is good! To all those looking for fast food... It's not McDonald's... But if you would rather enjoy the eating experience, then this is a definite high consideration.

It was good: had a cheese frenchie family had cheese burgers. Your typical dinner food. Was fast and done right.

Our first time here tonight. We had a large group, four adults and four children. Loved the decor! Very welcoming and clean. Two of us had shrimp, one tenderloin, one chicken, 3 burgers, and one chili footlong, and everyone had fries complemented by shakes, malts and Sundaes. The food was delicious and properly cooked. The staff was patient and pleasant. We will definitely be going back!

We had the chicken strips and they were fresh and delicious. the hamburgers are very yummy the onion rings are good and so are the crinkle cut fries. We didn't have ice cream this trip but maybe on the next time

Good diner- style menu, good portions, at a good price. Good service. Particularly fun ambience, with '50s iconic movie posters decorating almost every square inch of all the walls, nifty booths, mid-century ephemera, malts (❤) -- and '50s music to hum to. And no falderal about masks by this establishment. Customers wear them -- or don't -- and nobody makes a fuss. A breath of fresh air! Literally.

The food was delicious, well prepared and hot. It takes a little while for the food to come to you but its worth the wait since it comes freshly made. Their new drive through services are well run and organized. Definitely worth going to.

Food was so much better tonight... hubby and I try to go once a week. At peak hours serve is slower nut still great food. Off peak hour the serves is fanatically fast. I'm very impressed and tell everyone about my experiences. Great job keep up the hard work!

My first experience here and i have to say i will definitely have to come back. I think i got something called a french crustee or something. Its a deep fried crunchy grilled cheese. It melted in my mouth and i wanted to drive back and get me some more. The malts were also so fluffy, soft, rich and delicious.

Amazing atmosphere, food, and prices! It's definitely a gem for Council Bluffs.. Love the 50's decor and highly recommendable! I would strongly suggest that in due time that they begin having old car shows periodically to add to the summertime business!

So this is based on like a 1950s malt shop their mulch are fantastic especially the chocolate marshmallow one I give that 10 Stars the burgers are good the chili cheese dog is good I've been there a couple times now I really like it and I like the decor on the inside. And you can park at bobtail there just don't get your tires on the grass they don't like that.

First time in. Greated as soon as we stepped up to the counter. LOVE the atmosphere in here. All kinds of old movie posters (I'm 33 and recognise the majority of them) and juke boxes at every table (not sure if they work). Nicely lit, not too cold or hot inside. Food prices are EXCELLENT and are comparable to Don and Millies. Choices are sweer and simple, add-ons for burgers costing extra, but @ 5.95 for a double burger that easily is a meal in istelf, the addons arent too hard on the wallet. Food was promptly served and piping hot. Delicious burgers, gooey cheese, not too greasy crinkle cut fries that are what Runza's should be (hate me for that Midwest but its true). Employees are new, but busy keeping the place clean and were more than happy to help when we said it was our first time in. All in all, great dining experience. Will be coming back again for a malt or a shake.

My daughter and I ate here and yes, it took a while but it's a new business and people have to be patient. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be going back again! Great food, loved the cheese frenchies and fries!!
