Blue Moon Bar & Grill

Stopped by to enjoy some live entertainment on the patio. Plenty of seating, with shaded areas available throughout patio area. Staff are attentive, friendly, and super professional. Kid/family-friendly. Large dance floor. I highly recommend visiting Blue Moon!

Why did it take me this long to visit Blue Moon Bar & Grill? After living in Las Cruces for almost a decade, I finally visited Blue Moon. Cocktails were well prepared (and not weak 😉) and the food was tasty. Will be back for sure!

Some of the best bar food I've tried. Asada Fries, Green Chile Burger and the best red beer I've had are in this place.

Worth the drive! Great atmosphere with good service. Nothing fancy drinkwise, but decent selection of beer and spirits. Food is really good for bar food. Excellent burgers and tacos. Outdoor stage with a large dance floor is a plus. Bathrooms are always clean. Always a good time.

Stop in for a cold beverage, listen to some cowboy honky tonk, or watch sports from one of multiple screens. I do love me a good local hangout. Crispy crunchy fish and chips take away. So good! Made the end of this Winny the Pooh blustery day end great. It's a keeper. And they were so kind to honor my request and not salt my fries.

My impression is this is a new place of business or at a minimum, completely refurbished / new interior.

I really liked the inside for a bar. They had some light country music playing in the background. Wasnt too loud. You could have a convo at your table if everyone was a little louder than normal.

They were cool with me bringing my kids in to eat. Not all bars allow that. So that was nice.

All food was made to order which for me is huge.

I'm from out of town and my impression is that it was all locals. They were quite friendly and welcoming. But not overly so, to be over bearing.

They had probably 10 interior tables. Probably 15 exterior tables, with some space heaters which was nice.

We ordered their green chile burger, chile fries, and some chicken tenders.

The burger patty was different than some pictures I saw online. It was fairly flat and larger than the buns. I'd guess a 1/4 lb.

- It was cooked exactly as I asked 👍
- But I was disappointed a bit that it didn't match the pics I saw online as I personally prefer thicker patties over thinner ones
- the green chile was fresh, high quality, and tasted great. 👍 Guessing hatch green chile.
- the fries were super fresh and amazing. I'm a harsh fries critic, and these being made to order and fresh - wow amazing. I liked the extra salt on them. All around some of the best fries I've had. Probably even just worth going for the fries themselves.
- $8 for a yummy green chile cheese burger with a serving of fries?? Umm yes. Amazing value.

The cheesy fries were decent. Again good fries, cheese was not my fav, as it was quite liquidity but I know some folks want this. And again the top notch quality green chile was fantastic.

The chicken tenders looked pretty generic. Like something frozen you'd get at a grocery store. I didn't try it, but my kids have me two thumbs up.

Alcohol selection was basically your standard domestic selection you'd find anywhere else. Nothing special on tap but they did say that would change in the future.

Of note, they had tequila, whiskey, rum, vodka and some other spirits - which is much less common in my experience. So 👍 there

All in all, great service, nice, clean, new establishment, friendly folks, made to order fresh food, quality green chile, and solid prices. I'd visit here again next time I'm in the area.

Enjoyable stop after a little hike at Leasburg State Park and a visit to Fort Seldon. I enjoyed the carne asada tacos and a margarita. Husband enjoyed a burger and a beer.

Our first time there. Won't be our last. We had a great lunch.

Great service, If you don’t get the fiesta wrap you’re missing out! Was my first time to go and it was amazing. Draft Dos Equis was top tier and so was the Mango Cart! Great atmosphere to kick back and enjoy some food and Drinks! 10/10 recommend it!

Delicious place to stop! My friend and I stopped to relax from a long drive. The atmosphere is great, staff very friendly and attentive, food Delicious and great selection of New Mexico beers! Highly recommended stopping.

Had my first green chili Burger, and it was great. I highly recommend this place. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

We come here every Monday evening and play cornhole out in the court yard. It's always very lively and the atmosphere is full of fun!

They've done an amazing job of remodeling this old time favorite bar. The whole thing looks amazing, and I am beyond excited for future events to come. The owner mentioned plans for volleyball and cornhole tournaments, concerts and more.
For now the package store is fully operational, and so is the bar & grill. The burgers and fries were amazing, and worth the drive alone. Add in the ice cold drinks, and the friendly service, and you won't regret your visit.
Can't wait to head back up. Might just have to become a regular.

For bar food, we were very impressed. Drink menu is good. Pool tables are inside. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. Outdoor setting was amazing. Plenty of outdoor seating. Definitely recommend.

The food and venue was amazing, they had a live concert when I was there on a date and it was a great time, plenty of seats inside and out.

Had the green chili cheeseburger really, really good. Great and quick service. Could bring your family, including kids. Had an outside band going. Had inside TV's so you could watch The Game. Definitely want to go back.

Everything was great. We had wings with Moon Sauce and Queso Blanca Fries with Asada. The wings were perfectly cooked and the sauce was very tasty, however for us it could have been spicier. Our server was phenomenal. She was friendly, personable and efficient. She was running the entire bar and dining tables on a busy Friday afternoon by herself!! Kudos to an outstanding employee.
And please check out the bathrooms. They have been recently renovated! The installation crew and designers did an awesome job. These bathrooms are some of the nicest ones we’ve ever encountered in the entire country.
Stop in for a beer and some tasty grub if you are in this area.
