Olathe Health Family Medicine - Blackfoot

Dr. Mariah Andrew's is truly an excellent doctor. She is honest and tells you her diagnosis and what treatment to follow. I recommend her to any person looking for an excellent Primary Physician. She is a great doctor.

My parents and I have been going to this office for around 20 years. I have seen Dr. Davis and Mary Bowman, but started seeing Dr. Herrick a few years ago for prenatal care. I have never left this office feeling like they didn't listen to my concerns. Both of my young sons see Dr. Herrick as their Primary Care Physician and I trust him completely. There are occasionally longer waits because it's a busy office, but it's worth the quality care in my opinion. Dr. Herrick's nurses Amanda and Susan are also great.

I saw Dr. Hartpence for a routine visit. I have unfortunately had too many doctor visits to even count in my life, but Dr. Hartpence was the first physician that I felt actually listened to me. He has a great bedside manner and felt like he empathized with me. Just very thankful.

I've been going to this doctor's office since I was a little kid. I've retired one doctor and now have a new doctor that's about my age with kids the same age as mine, so he's easy to relate to. People here really care. If you call in when they open they will do everything they can to find an open appointment that day, even if it's with a different doctor.

The urgent care side is a bit questionable sometimes. I'd give it 3 stars. We've had a couple of miss-diagnosis, one of which was pretty major and landed my 3 year old in the ER with a bad intestinal bacterial infection when we were out of town. The urgent care Doctor was convinced it was worms, and that we all had worms and didn't do any kind of blood test. Turned out all my son had to do was poop in a bowl at the ER and they had the results back to me in 3 hours.

I wish I would have found this place sooner. Ever since I’ve been in Dr. Johnston’s care, I’ve never felt the need to worry or have doubt of my health. He takes my concerns very serious and actually listens to me and takes immediate action (no matter how small they are). That’s why I highly recommend him for any medical needs. Not to mention the office gets you in for an appointment on the same day if possible. Best place hands down.

Dr Harris is the best, hands down. I went Friday for a serious health concern and took his advice, to go on to the ER. As it turns out, that was sound advice. I could have gotten way worse if I'd have gone home.

My healthcare provider is Mary Bowman. I just love her and would recommend her to anyone. I believe that she truly cares for her patients.

I seen Dr. Isaac Johnston today.

I was happy with how polite he was; how empathetic he immediately seemed, too. Very good at listening and showed true concern to every issue I brought up.

Awesome experience. Recommended.

I've had two doctors leave the Olathe Health system and this office in the last 4 years, and nobody ever notified me. I've now had prescription refills denied due to my last doc leaving. Abruptly stopping meds is dangerous.

Why did my pharmacy have to tell me my doc left Olathe? Shouldn't the office have contacted me to schedule a visit with a replacement doc? And why are so many doctors leaving this practice anyway? And, it's not just this practice... I've had a similar experience with a specialist just leaving my prescriptions without refills and causing gaps in my meds.

The doctors and nurses seemed good... this isn't a problem with them I think, but there's something wrong at this practice or in the Olathe Health system.

I'm leaving Olathe Health and transferring to Advent. Maybe they're better organized and have a better culture over there?

I understand that healthcare offices are stretched right now, many places are, but the service here was subpar. It’s ok for a provider to be running behind, expected even, it’s not ok to be rude or not tell the patient.

I was on time, waited 30 minutes before checking with reception to see about the wait time. I would’ve waited longer if I hadn’t seen other patients come in after me and be taken back to their appointments.

“We have 4-5 providers here you know,” the receptionist said to me while performing a half body stretch. Yes, I did know that. The other receptionist then tells me that my provider’s appointment from almost 2 hours just left—what?

I asked if there were other patients ahead of me, yes, two. I asked the stretching receptionist if she was just going to let me wait another hour, hour and a half, two hours without saying anything. “Yes.” Yikes.

I won’t be coming back.
