Hen House Market

I was picking up large container of cranberry sauce and at checkout I dropped it! Customer Service Jeanne expertly cleaned up mess and quickly went to Deli and replaced the order. Never acting upset with me!!
And, this was Wednesday before Thanksgiving!! Store extremely crowded!
Olathe Hen House is THE BEST!!

I am absolutely thrilled with the custom birthday cake Hen House bakery made for me! I had a family photo I wanted to have printed in sugar and placed on top of the cake. I first stopped at Walmart to have it done with a 3-day lead time, however they needed 4 days and were unable to do it for me. I immediately went to Hen House across the street and all they needed was 24 hours! The cake was beautifully decorated, I could not be more pleased with results. I plan to use this Hen House bakery for all of my future custom bakery orders.

The staff always have to start with the staff. They are so friendly! Absolutely every single person in that store is nice every single time! They go above and beyond! The store is very well put together very well organized very clean. The food in the deli is fantastic!! And FYI fish Friday is the best LOL! Their fish was really good!!! So good I want to go in there for sure on Friday.

Nice place to shop with a very friendly young man checking me out! Would like to see the iced angel food cakes come back! Received the free pie through the loyalty program!

I want you to know this is the best gr beef I had in ages. I will not order from anyone else.

We love this location!! The store is always clean and the produce is fresh. I get salads from here weekly for lunch. But the real star of the show is Modesto!! We enjoy seeing him every week and will go out of our way to get to go through his check out!
There are several other great employees but he always has a smiling face and is sure to say hi to us!

Henhouse doesn't get the rave reviews like some of the big supermarket stores like Walmart. It's a great place to shop. Amazing salad bar with fresh lettuce and fixings. The place has a small deli. The staff is helpful and available to ask questions.

I came in looking for some BBQ sauce for some ribs I was smoking this weekend. The associate recommended the "Ross Sauce" and I gave it a try. I opted for the hot n spicy version and I wasn't disappointed. This was hands down the best sauce I've ever tried and I can't wait to try the other flavors !

They have remodeled since I was last there and everything looks great. Great produce selection, butcher helped me with a specialty cut and large beer selection. Clean and easy to find what I needed

Very good food choices

big bright very clean store. Today I called to ask if they had any ricotta cheese. I explained that I had been to 5 stores and each store had an empty shelfin the ricotta cheese section. The gentleman's name is Kade and he said yes and asked me if I wanted him to double check. I said yes and he checked and confirmed. He. told me to ask for him when I arrived . I did anf he took me to the case where they were stored. very helpful people. Great customer service. Way to go Kade!

Their meat counter is fabulous, and T-bones on sale make it even better

Lots of selections and fresh meat market. This is my go to place for the best and fresh chicken. Produce is plentiful and many many selections. Their salad bar is also very convenient and well stocked. Another thing I like getting here are items in the International food isle that I can't get from other neighborhood groceries.

I absolutely love the remodel of the store. The customer service seems to be a lot better than 12-18 months ago. Not sure what the change is, but keep it up. Hen House is very convenient to my house and I love shopping there.

This was a quick stop, we ran in looking for Chinese food for lunch and were disappointed not to find any. The deli area looked tempting, and the salad bar had quite a few selections. We ended up going elsewhere, but will keep this in mind for future deli stops. From a quick glance, the grocery area looked great!

Excellent bakery and deli
Hot foods, sandwiches, and salads. Wonderful employees and pleasant shopping experience. Sometimes the music is slightly too loud. Other than that have no complaints. Also very easy to get in and out of large parking lot. My Lyft driver can pull right up to the front entrance and help with bags of groceries.

Hen House staff are always willing to go the extra mile. Their meat department is wonderful. Bonus: They carry Tippins and Farm to Market items as well as Wolfermann's English muffins -- all KC favorites!

Wonderful store! They have everything you could ask for. Produce is beautiful! Meat, poultry and fish selections are awesome! Employees are so nice and helpful!

Wanted to give kudos to the meat department, wish I had gotten the particular butchers name who helped me. Was have a small early Thanksgiving get together at my home and wanted to try a special recipe that I found. For the recipe I needed a boneless Turkey breast. Went to Hy-Vee where I normally shop (basically because that is where my roommate shops). They did not have boneless Turkey breast but sold me some sort of boneless Butterball roast. Once I got home I really did not feel that this would work and wanted to make the recipe exact as it was my first attempt. So I called Price Chopper and they only had the same thing but this butcher was nice enough to tell me it would not work for my recipe and would only fall apart. So before finding a butcher store I decided to call Hen House. The butcher was very nice and said he did not have one but could debone a breast for me. Great, I headed right over and they had it waiting for me upon arrival. It had been several years since I had been in this store and loved it immediately. Will be shopping there over the next few weeks to check prices on my normal stuff and variety. Thank you so much my meal was delicious and a huge success. Customer service is key!

This was my first time shopping here. But it will not be my last. I came in because you had fresh salmon. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and freshness of the salmon.
