K & M Bar-B-Q

I was working down in Spring Hill, KS, and had a craving for Barbecue. A quick google search pulled up K&M Bar-B-Q, and just like that, my magic shoes took me there.

I walked in and was immediately greeted and seated in a booth. I knew I had made a good choice since they had 80's rock music playing. Not loud, just enough to enjoy the music.

The waitress came by and took my drink order while I checked out the menu. I was pointed to the lunch special for $13.00 which comes with a drink, fries or rings, and a nice sized sandwich with your meat of choice. I went with the sliced brisket sandwich and onion rings. It took less than 5 minutes to get my food. Sandwich and rings looked perfect. The sliced brisket was tender and not dry. Flavor wise, it had a great smoked beef flavor and wasn't smothered in sauce. Onion rings were crispy fried deliciousness. The pie selection they have looks awesome. I'll have to get back down here to try the pulled pork and ribs next time I'm down here.

Some of the best bbq I have ever had. Definitely top 5. I got the turkey brisket and ribs. Got the when it opens and there was a line to get in.. if that's not a testament to this bbq I don't know what is. The smoke ring on the brisket was thick. The turkey is my benchmark as it's not as common as brisket and pulled pork, and the smokiness of the meat was amazing. But the best think I had was the ribs! These were perfect smoke plus seasoning plus great amount of meat. Best ribs even without bbq sauce. The place was old school bbq joint. Lots of wood and dark. The servers were working so hard to keep up and really they were great friendly and fast. Pleanty of parking. At the end I decided to get a keylime pie with meringue which was sublime.

Our family has eaten here for years but this was my first time (I know, right!?!). It is worth the drive from anywhere. Guaranteed great food and amazing staff! We had a large party and able to get seating in a quieter area. Bring your big appetites!

This is my second favorite Kansas City BBQ! It’s really one of the best! I usually get the ham and turkey sandwich. I’ve also had the tenderloin and the iconic Killer sandwich. I just really can’t do the ribs. The service here is also VERY quick and efficient! I also really love how it has a Western theme, and the license plates. It’s absolutely worth the drive out Spring Hill! I HIGHLY recommend you come here if/when you’re in the area. I’ve given them my business for many years and look forward to for many more years to come!

I stopped in and ordered food to go. I grabbed a menu and was not pressured to order quickly. When I was ready to order, it was taken right away. The food came out hot, and quickly. The sandwich I ordered was delectable and the onion rings were cooked just perfectly.

I love everything about this place. Nothing I’ve had on the menu that’s not really good. I get carry out often and it’s always super fast and the food is as good as eating in. Staff is always friendly and remembers you. It’s the spot if you want BBQ

Awesome Bar-B-Q! I had the burnt ends and ribs combo... With onion rings and potato salad... It was all awesomely good! And great service too! What a real treat this place was!

Quick and delicious. Usually just get a regular sandwich with turkey and ham with onion rings. Good people and quick enough to go on your lunch break.

Fried mushrooms with a pulled pork and sausage sandwich was great!
The sausage was a little spicy and the pork was shredded, not pulled.
But I'm not complaining!

I have always been a fan of K&M. Their food is amazing (hmm burnt ends) and the service is superb.
However, now I have discovered a new level of love. This last weekend we had a birthday party there. They had the room set up for our 40 people, catered the event and bustled throughout our gathering with quiet efficiency. They handled our nervous questions with grace and speed. They even let us bring in our own dessert (even though their pies are phenomenal) and store it temporarily in their freezer. Such an amazing event and zero hassle for us.

Billie was her usual hateful, rude self. If & when we go back and she is our waitress we'll get up and leave. She got mad because our group was larger then planned and asked if we could move to one of empty rooms she said no, when asked if they could talk to the owner she replied very hateful he's in the kitchen cooking your food.

We had carry out to feed some workers at the house. Excellent as usual.

Fantastic bbq and very reasonable prices. They have my all time favorite BBQ sauce and their turkey melts in your mouth.

The "Wagon Wheel" brisket sandwich is piled high with tender beef brisket, cheese, and onion rings.
The service was fast and friendly.

Amazing food! We devoured a family meal. Lots of food and good portion sizes for the price.

The sauce was YUM 😋 We had beef (cooked perfectly) ribs and sausage. We will be back and will be bringing others with us!
