Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

I ordered their Farmer's daughter pizza on cauliflower crust and it was really good! Arugula pizza is one of my favorites. The burst of flavor from the cherry tomatoes was the icing on top 😊. Next time I think I'll ask to add chicken to it.
I've also ordered the Italian nachos to go. They were really good, but a bit greasy. So just be prepared to wash your hands afterwards 😂. It's one of those dishes that's probably better to order in and eat while it's fresh/hot rather than to go.
The staff are all really nice and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean. Just keep in mind that the servers only make $2 an hour so they really rely on those tips.

We went an hour before they closed. The restaurant was clean. The appetizers, pizza, and spaghetti were hot and delicious. Our waitress was efficiently closing down the dining room while being perfectly attentive to us. All the staff was friendly, and they were performing their nightly duties with what looked to be great efficiency. The managers appear to be managing their staff well and providing a positive work environment. I highly recommend Old Chicago Pizza in Lawrence, Kansas.

We stopped by here on a business trip. The weather was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We got nachos and cheese with marinara and the marinara comes out hot so it compliments the nachos perfectly. Then we got a hand tossed pizza with half cheese half pepperoni and that was also delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was great came to check on us a few times always had fresh drinks.

Food was really good. I will definitely come back. Service was great. Clean restaurant. Kind of expensive but really good. It’s worth it. We were trying something new. My favorite the chicken.

Visited on a Monday night. Server was friendly and quick. The Detroit deep dish crust is very good!!

I need to eat here a couple more times to judge more of the food....but ...
If you have a problem at an establishment and you don't voice it then just come on here to trash them, there's only one real problem.
That being said. Any issues I've had have been rectified and ameliorated. Service was on point, atmosphere is both sporty and family friendly. I dig it.

I believe Old Chicago Pizza to be one of the finest chain restaurants in this price range. The calzone is homemade and phenomenal. I really like the chicken Caesar salad also. And I think their Pizza is underrated.

Good start, it seems, as of October, 2018. Not busy on a Monday afternoon. One of the coolest things about this Old Chicago in particular is the garage-style door that opens between the bar and the patio outside to the south. You can be outside and sit right at the bar when the door is open.

Even though it was dead, I could tell the bartender would have been friendly and attentive even if it was more crowded.

The jalapeño pretzel bites were on point. They had a crispy smokiness to them that made the cheese even better. The buffalo bites have great flavor. Lots of chicken, not just all breading, and the Heat is about what you'd expect. Pizza presentation is solid, has a smoky artisan flavor.
I love that they're focusing on local brews to start with, and the service was excellent. I hope they continue to impress.

First time trying. Good atmosphere. Food is delicious. Our waitress was fabulous! Definitely recommend.

Opened recently and very busy! Excellent food, amazing slection of beers and OK service. They were busy and employees are new so it's understandable. Highly recommend for a great beer and pizza night out with your loved one.

Our server was the bartender! He was very kind. I was having an off day and made some silly requests and he had no issues with fulfilling them. I went as far as asking for another fork for my salad forgetting that I had my rolled silverware still. He smiled and said no problem. He was amazing! I wish I had his name. Seriously an amazing experience when I was feeling down. Thank you!

I went there about a month ago for lunch had great food horrible service decided to give them another try for dinner and was a night and day difference

We had Old Chicago cater our monthly office lunch in May and they went above and beyond for us! The food was delicious, and not only did they have it ready on-time (which was a challenge because I contacted them the day before), but several of their employees got everything to my car. They gave us a good deal, and our staff LOVED it all!! We will definitely choose them again in the future! Thank you again!!!! :)

It was my and a friend very frist time eating at this restaurant! We Walked in and we was greeted with a smile and was seated really fast with no wait! The sever he was very nice and helpful when it came to are question! The food we order was cooked the way we wanted it and the taste of the food was excellent! The manager was very nice and she talked to us with the most respected and even answer more of are question! It's going to be one of of regular place to eat at in the near future!

They keep giving me kids sized everything. I know I’m like 5’2 but it’s still insulting.

Great experience all around!! The food was good, atmosphere perfect for a summer early evening and Emma our waitress was a rock star!! We had a party of 8, including two littles 3 and under. She never missed a beat and kept us all happy. Never had to ask for drink refills, brought kids meals out quickly etc! Thank you Emma!!

I was sad when Old Chicago in Topeka Ks closed, but when I went to the Lawrence Ks restaurant, I was very impressed. It's like I didn't miss a thing
