I love this store! They have some of the best wine here and also a great selection of high end/top shelf liquor. This is one of the few places I’ve been able to get Empress Gin. The owner of the store is also very kind and welcoming. ❤

Excellent selection of bitters, craft beer, natural wine and regular wine. I’ve been here twice now and enjoyed both times. One of the best wine shops in town by far. Very friendly owner. Happy to help out but also chill and never feel pressured to buy. It’s a good vibe and a really good spot to pickup a bottle or two!

Very friendly and helpful guy running the shop when I came in for my first visit today. I asked for a few recommendations and his were spot on. I also browsed the place and picked out a few bottles on my own. It is very easy to find plenty of excellent wines in here in the $15-$35 price range, and they also carry some more great wines with more upscale price points. The selection is not astoundingly huge. But it appears to have been chosen by the people in charge very carefully so as to only carry noticeably great wines, many of which are barely higher in cost than the more lackluster grocery store and liquor store varieties. This is a real WINE store for people who appreciate great wines most any sommelier would approve of.

Jamie & Steve are awesome and although they both have an abundance of knowledge in beer, spirits & wines, they definitely are not wine snobs. They make it a very comfortable and laid back experience when looking for a beer, spirit, or wine in their store. I've bought my wife the wine club membership years ago, and having new wines to try each month is great! We've found some real gems that we probably wouldn't have bought or tried otherwise.

Hand down the best place in the region to get wine from two of the most knowledgeable people in the business! I have never once been let down by any suggestions they have made or even with the selections of the monthly wine club we joined. Highly recommend!!

I have been a customer of City Wine for the past 5 years. The knowledge that Steve and Jamie have about wine is unmatched! They take the time to not only explain what your palate will experience when tasting the wine but also the history behind the bottle of wine you are purchasing. Their beer selection is excellent as well. I highly recommend City Wine!

My wife and I love City Wine Market! Steve and Jamie are both extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their products. We also enjoy that they host a number of events throughout Lawrence. We will be customers for many years to come!

I recently went here to pick out a wine for a special occasion. I’m the type of guy that knows enough about wine that I steer away from the obvious choices...and to often into an expensive disaster.

The curated selection of low to moderately priced wines along with a helpful and approachable staff made finding the right wine a relaxing experience. The staff seem to have an uncanny and intimate knowledge of every wine they carry. You can’t pick a bad wine at this place. I’ve been in more than once and the wine just seems perfect for what I’m buying it for. This isn’t about buying an expensive wine that will impress everyone, but about finding that perfect balance of price and quality that makes for an accessible wine

Popped in on a whim and very much enjoyed it. The person working there was amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. I don't drink alcohol often but will definitely be back when I need some wine.

Knowledgeable and personable store with just what I am looking for!

Was expecting a lot of wine and not much else. Not being a wine drinker I was pleasantly surprised when I found a good variety of craft beers and high quality liquor. I spotted some unique bottles I've heard of but have never seen anywhere else before.
