St. Agnes Library

Went there today to return some books and go to the booksale. Wow. Phenomenal doesn't even begin to describe the variety of books available, at cheap rates (2$ for softcover/$3 for hardcover).

I am so thrilled that this library has classical sheet music (scores for piano especially) and some are in surprisingly good condition, almost never used. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Very pleasant experience here compared to other branches.

New York Public Library St. Agnes branch is a great local library branch in the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It has two main floors and is usually appropriately quiet. Some school children use library after school and they're good selections for kids books as well as adults.

Great place for small children to get them interested in reading.

Good collection, spacious reading rooms, books can also be sent from other branches to pick up here. All wheelchair accessible, including the restroom on the second floor.

This branch is wonderfully run. The staff are kind, polite, and very involved in ensuring that your visit is as good as it can get. The collections are very well organized and material is re-shelved very quickly. Overall, this branch is one of the gemstones of the NYPL, and very well worth visiting again!

Great kids area. Very good alternative to rental video stores (but watch out for the late fees here, $3/day). Check the returned cart for the latest movies or reserve things online. Needs more outlets for computers upstairs. Nice staff, and once you get to know them even nicer.

Helpful, quick staff. Library is often clean and orderly. Generally quiet, unless a children's reading group is present.

Hold shelves are on the second floor, with dvd/cd holds at the second floor help desk.

Most friendly and helpful. It is a neighborhood treasure. The numerous activities are well run and well attended. There is a general air of community spirit and loyalty. We cannot do without it.

Amazing place for all ages. I sometimes can have spend some time there reading their variety of books. Will definitely come back.

I like bigger libraries but this is the closest to me and it’s a old compromise as the windows are large

I find this branch to be usually quiet and a productive place to work. It's got a warm vibe to it, I think. I wish there were more outlets available, though.

Its a lovely library. I think it use to be a parish where they stored books for the blind.

Love the library. Not many "new" books but I'm sure its due to the Pandemic 😒 but hope things will get better 🤗

Pleasant, friendly and quiet. We enjoy working there and the librarians are very helpful.
