I’m surprised this pizzeria is not rated higher. 8.9 out of 10 for a plain pie. The pepperoni pie is delicious. Perfect amount of sauce and very tasty. Could have a little more crunch.

Dont just get the basics, these guys can COOK! Got a philly cheesesteak pizza from here that was nothing short of a masterpiece.

Great spot, consistantly good pizza!

We spent a week in the New York area, and we loved this place so much that we went back a second time.
They had really good pizza and garlic knots, and the Stromboli was out of this world.
I highly recommend Carmine & Rays.

Carmine's pizza is always good. but I'm more impressed with the folks behind the counter! they are welcoming people and they never messed up my orders! Thanks folks! I'll be back soon!

We gathered there with 15 kids for the end of the soccer season, and the kids had a great time.
Staff were patient and friendly.

Classic Mom & Pop pizza place. Definitely my favorite in the (Closter) area. Not thin, but not too thick. Very friendly guys all around too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This place is always amazing. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Now I take my nieces and nephew here and we all agree, they have the best pizza. Carmine is one of the nicest guys in the planet. Do yourself a favor and get there. You won't be disappointed.

Rays in Closter is an amazing place! Carmine and his son make the best pizza and chicken parm heroes. Service is always great! Interior has the classic pizza shop vibe. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband is a truck driver and picked up a load in Closter and had ran out of hours so was parked outside the business he picked up at and not near any place to eat. I searched online to find places that deliver..found this place and called to see if they would deliver to him in his truck. The person on the phone suggested a ham and cheese calzone so went with it and a drink. My husband said it was huge, delicious, and full of ham and cheese. He couldn't finish but half of it. He said if he is anywhere close to there again..he will drop in and eat.

Just relocated to the area and desperately wanted comfort food. I ordered chicken française with penne, garden salad and few other things. Their chicken française was beyond delicious!!! Chicken flavor was on point and the penne was cooked perfectly! Definitely ordering from here again!!!

What a tasty pizza. Thin slice pizza baked in gas oven, but much better than brick oven pizzerias around this area. Very kind. When you want NYC style pizza, save gas and ezpass fee. This place will be an answere.

Best pizza and Italian food in the area! They really take pride in their product. Delivery is fast and food is well worth it. Pizza is enormous and delicious! Soups, salads and subs made fresh.
