Pompton Lakes Bakery

We just moved to the area, and happened to walk by here. Thank God we decided to enter! This bakery is top notch in flavor and presentation. I couldn't believe how good everything was! We purchased a selection of about 12 different baked food and 11 of the 12 were excellent. Only the Cheese Cake fell short, but I'm a CC foodie and am very picky over how I like them made. I'd give a 9/10 or 10/10 everything and a 6/10 on the Cheese Cake.

The man who helped us was extremely friendly and offered us a free cookie for the kids. Couldn't have been nicer!

I picked up pastries for a party last minute and the owner threw together a nice platter for 50 guest so quickly! He was super busy but went out of his way to accommodate! This bakery is the best! And the pastries were a hit! The Neapolitan was especially good!

It's a little bakery with a big selection, I really appreciate places like this cause I feel not alot like around anymore . I bought some cookies, cake, n bread and I honestly feel like I under paid for everything.

The place is incredible . Always fresh and made by a family owned and actual Mom and Pop shop and one of the last real bakeries left.

I recently picked up an assortment of items for guests that were visiting. Butter cookies, crumb buns and some cupcakes. I wasn't even sure if they had cupcakes because there were none in the display case. The gentleman who served me said he had some in the back but they needed to be piped with frosting (if I had a couple of minutes he would do so for me.) Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the cupcakes. The white buttercream frosting was perfect; silky smooth and not overly sugary and the cake itself moist and super fresh. The topper...I handed the gentleman the $15 due, thanked him and started to walk out and he said "Oh no!..." I stopped dead in my tracks as he said "you gave me $20 too much." You don't find many honest people in today's world, God bless him and Pompton Lakes Bakery for friendly service and fresh and fabulous baked goods. My guests and I enjoyed everything.

My family loves the Meltaway's, It is a tradition now to have them for the holidays!! Everything I've tried has been Delicious!
Great Family run owned Business!!! Get There if you haven't, I highly recommend trying the meltaway but you can not go wrong with trying anything from here!!!!

Always love the quality and service at the bakery, but we were especially impressed with the mixed fruit tart bought this Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, as well as with our favorite cheese ring, which was even better than ever--thanks!

They are very reasonably priced. Everything is delicious. They are very friendly! The quality of their work by far surpasses what you will pay for any given item. They did a 3 tier cake for us, it was gorgeous and delicious!! We received many compliments on it and when I told people the price they were shocked!!!

Their almond cheese Danish is THE best

For a relatively small bakery the selection is outstanding. The pies, cakes and specialty items are extremely good.

Been going here since I was a little girl. Love the butter cookies and the meltaways! My favorite thing is the feel that you step back in time when you walk in and they still tie up your box with red and white twine.

This place has a lot of old.fashioned stuff you can't really get anymore. It has a really good cake called a brown dirby we get it with strawberries bananas and peaches. Its so good. Plus all their other goodies

Amazing bakery and staff. Stopped by with my son and they let him pick out whatever he wanted and were so kind. The crumb cake was great.

Absolutely delicious bagel, donuts and cookies. Friends that I brought them to for Easter, also loved them!! Wil definitely be back!!

They open super early, have premade things, LOTS of options. They came through for my child who needed something last minute! Will come again :o)
