Dr. Quintos-Gomez has been my doctor for years. She is excellent! Listens so well and patiently, takes the time to give carefully thought through recommendations, and is a very caring doctor on top of everything.

Dr. Stam-Cheatham is a great doctor. I have had several doctors who I have seen at other clinics, and I don’t ever feel rushed when I have appointments with her, compared to previous doctors. She takes the time to explain things thoroughly to you, and answers all your questions. When I first started under her care about a year or more ago, I was surprised when she called me to follow up on my message (I sent it through the patient portal) at the end of her workday. In my experience, she truly cares about and listens to her patients.

A day before 4th of July Holyday I had a health issue which required a quick check with my doctor. I called the Annandale Family Medicine at 11:30 am and discussed my problem requesting an appointment with one of the doctors. When Joshua heard my story he quickly scheduled me for 3:30 pm appointment the same day. When I arrived they quickly called me in and when the PA checked me out she suggested I should go to the hospital and check into the ER which I did. That was the best and quick decision which saved me from more complications. For this I really appreciated their quick response and thank the staff.

Dr. Friedler is an excellent doctor who carefully listens to patients and then provides them with thoughtful feedback and guidance. I have never felt rushed or like information was not shared. Appointments are also readily available without needing to wait weeks or months. At any time, if Dr. Friedler is not be available, he has a team of other doctors in the practice that are ready to see me & other patients, sharing his style of careful listening and thoughtful answers. I’ve always felt confident that my health is in good hands at Annandale Family Medicine.

Annandale Family Medicine has been my primary care for 25 years. The entire staff are awesome. They are like family. The doctors and nurse practitioners are superb. They provide awesome preventive care for my health. I was pre-diabetic, with Dr Suharto’s preventive measures, I am now off of diabetic medication. My A1-C has been between 5.5 and 5.6 for several years now. My cholesterol has also been excellent for many years. I am able to talk to her about my stress level and with my depression due to my daughter moving to the west coast. I feel truly blessed to have complete confidence with AFM taking care of my health.

This is a friendly practice and I can always get an appointment when I need it without waiting and never have to wait in waiting room. PA Meekma is lovely and takes the time to listen to you.

This doctor's office is truly wonderful. Setting up an appointment during covid in the D.C. area was not easy, but once I found this doctor's office, it could have not been easier. The nurse took the information I was comfortable giving over the phone and scheduled me for an appointment that was less than a week away. When I arrived, covid precautions were taken and masks were enforced. The nurse called me back before I'd even had time to fill out the paperwork and let me fill it out in the room, which I thought was great after spending hours sitting in waiting rooms in years past. The nurse remembered me from our one phone call that had occured the week prior, which was amazing. The best part was the PA. She actually listened to me give her every detail about my health issues and was the first medical professional who didnt brush me off about it. Every other doctor I'd seen had said I'm healthy and would be fine, but she listened and understood that because I am very healthy overall, what was going on really wasnt fine. She promised me we'd get to the bottom of the issue and immediately ordered lab work and gave me a referral that could be used if deemed needed by the lab results. The paperwork was physically handed to me in the office, along with being emailed to me. Most offices dont do that added step and it was really appreciated. The lab was located on the same floor, which was very convenient and the staff there were nice and efficient as well. The office was clean and the staff were all friendly, to include the med. student I allowed into the room. I will happily be returning to this office for as long as I live in the area!

I've been a patient since the office opened. Excellent care, excellent service, and very clean. I waited less than 5 minutes to be seen with only one other patient in the waiting area who showed up early for his appointment. Everyone listened to my answer to health questions and asked follow up questions. I highly recommend this practice, see for yourself!

I have been coming to Annandale Family Medicine almost 30 years now. I see Dr Edward Friedler most all of the time but have seen Dr Mercedes Gomez as well as NP's. I have found that in several cases since I had a brain infection and then contracted an auto-immune disorder, that Dr Friedler has often surprised me with knowing just as much as some specialist I just saw. I could not be happier with AFM and all the people that work there. The front office is nice and Griselda, who looks like she handles most of the check in's and answers phones is quick and courteous. I only know her name as she has been there a long time. I have recommended them to my Parents in Law when I got married (they still are patients) and when my Mom just about died and was in a coma for a few months, I took her to Dr Friedler who totally changed her medications and for 2 years she drastically improved and was mostly independent. (you should bring your parents here) She had Congestive Heart Failure and had 1-2 years, but lived 4+ more years (with 2 quality years) after I got her away from her old Doctor. My Mom loved Dr Friedler. What more can you say....

I have been seeing Dr. Friedler since 2001. He is an outstanding diagnostician, family physician, and an excellent health care manager coordinating care, medications and services among many different providers to myself and my family.

Wait times are reasonable for appointments, and the staff are uniformly courteous and friendly. The office processes requests quickly, and the office management processes have improved consistently and modernized over the last decade.

Are there glitches? Sometimes, but not in the quality of care. Dr. Friedler keeps a tight ship and demands high performance from the staff.

I highly recommend this practice. One of the best around.

I am not an easy person to please. I can find fault with anyone, anywhere and anytime.........except with Dr. Ratih Sudharto and her staff at Annandale Family Medicine. Talk about near perfection, this office is it!!! I almost have a hard time admitting to how perfect they are because who would believe it? I can get an appointment quickly and easily and I can get refills with no complaints or questions from the staff and they take care of it immediately. Very few other doctors offices do that. I can honestly say it's a pleasure having Dr Sudharto, her medical staff and her front desk staff to depend on. Shall I also say that Dr. Sudharto is the only doctor who diagnosed my illness in about 2 minutes after nobody else knew what was wrong with me? I was sent from dr to dr and they sent me to "specialists" and orthopedic doctors and physical therapists that did absolutely SQUAT to help me because they were clueless as to what I had. I love Dr. Sudaharto and I love having her in my life making me a healthier happier woman:.)

Annandale Family Medicine is a good place to go for family medicine. Both my husband and I see Dr Raith Sudharto. She is wonderful. She takes time to listen to you and gives you good advice. When she has been away, we have seen the nurse practitioner who is also good. It is easy to get an appointment and pre-Covid they had Sat morning hours.

Dr Sudharto listens and never makes me feel rushed. She comes up with creative health solutions and is strategic in my treatment plans. I have great respect for her skills as a physician.

They need an old male doctor just like the one soon retiring.

We have been using Dr. Friedler and his associates for 8 years. They do great work, are conveniently located, appts are easy to get, and they handle the insurance paperwork very well. Quest Diagnostics has an office on the same floor to take blood samples as well. Overall, a great doctor and staff.

Several years now. I was sent to Dr. Friedler office after spending many hours at FRX.
Hospital with severe anxiety,
and other long term health related issues that I'm living with.
Dr. Friedler is easy to talk to and communicate your needs
to your understandings.
He reminds me of the old school Doctor's that really cares about his patients, and
is not there just for a payment.
I don't know all of the office staff, however the ones that i
do know are great.
