Old Gas House Restaurant

I had the Icelandic cod, blackened with a side of sauteed mushrooms and a dinner salad. Our server Mark was attentive and fun, and patiently helped us select options that would fit our special diets. The kitchen did an outstanding job ensuring the dishes were created as requested and were delicious. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere as well.

My husband ordered the porterhouse and it was cooked to perfection. He could not have been more pleased. I had the stuffed chicken breast with risotto, such a wonder combination of flavors.

Really good food, got seated quickly and was checked in on a lot. would grab refills everything she walked by. nice seating and great atmosphere, food was hot and cooked perfectly and had really good seasoning. went out with my buddies to try something new I got the urban cowboy and it was the best sandwich i’ve had i got that with a side of potato wedges and got our table a blackened shrimp starter. not a huge fan of seafood normally but the shrimp was seared and crispy amazing seasoning and sauce along side with it. my friend got the salmon and it was the freshest salmon i think i’ve ever had, everything was juicy and tender it fell right apart. the bread that they bring out is seasoned and fresh with whipped butter, not a fan of this style of bread that is hard in the middle but this was soft and fluffy. best food i’ve had in a while

The breadsticks that they bring out are the best breadsticks we’ve ever had! I can’t brag enough about them, they were delicious! We both got Chicago Burgers and they were excellent, the meat was juicy and tender, the bun was really good! The service was great! Our server was very attentive and friendly! We really liked her. We can’t wait to go back!

Such a great restaurant! A large group of our friends celebrate Christmas together here every year. Food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. I had the best coffee crusted Delmonico steak, melt in your mouth delicious.

One of my fav places to eat downtown! The atmosphere is great whether you're on the patio or inside, this restaurant SLAPS.

We were driving back home from Chicago to Columbus. The route usually takes you through Indianapolis. I came to Fort Wayne just to try Old Gas House. It was a great atmosphere, great lighting. Family friendly atmosphere. We both got filet mignons with gumbo. I got creamed spinach and she got mushrooms. A couple drinks from the bar. Everything was great. Service was excellent. We finished with blueberry cheesecake. I need the recipe for the bread. Highly recommend if you’re in town.

Cozy and warm. Spacious and pretty atmosphere! Great food.

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner and drinks. Ambiance was pretty neat. It is an old building so the floors are very creaky with twinkle lights that just add to the charm of the place.

The food was pretty good. A wedge salad, Ruben, two fist Memphis burger, and meatloaf lunch was ordered by the table. All of it was tasty but the meatloaf arrived with a hair in it. The server took the plate and brought another one very quickly. Super service in rectifying the situation.

We were upstairs at Takaoaka. Always Great Food! Chef Mark was very Entertaining while preparing our meal.

Nostalgiac visit with an old friend in from out-of-town. Food is still solid, lights are just a little brighter these days.

Can’t say enough good about the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Exceptionally good, and huge! Enough for three sandwiches!
My husband’s pan-fried fish sandwich was on the skimpy side tho. So I gave him some chicken

Salads fresh and tasty, potato wedges and tots made fresh too—much appreciated.
Such a nice family atmosphere in a space with so much atmosphere.
Some seats are pretty broken down tho—seat cushions could use some updating.

Lunch was great . Filet sliders and the ahi tuna appertizers were on point this visit. Loved the clam chowder and greek salad . Freshly stuffed creamy blue cheese olives in my martini were the best around. Service was awesome .

Really nice steakhouse restaurant. Service was top-notch. 2 people ordered the fillet mingon appetizer and enjoyed it. 2 people had burgers, which were good. The only gripe is the mac and cheese came out in a dish and was baby food mush. Noodles had no form, but they just turned into slop. I would come back again and give them another try, though, for sure.

This was very good for lunch and priced reasonably. The burger was delicious and flavorful, but tasted as it should, not overly seasoned. It was cooked a perfect medium as we ordered. I would knock it a half point for a rookie kitchen error, I had onion peels on my burger, but that’s a rookie mistake. Our service was great. Gumbo was missing something, but it still had a good flavor. Loaded tots were the BOMB! I could have filled up on those.

We ate at the Gas House last night and I think they deserve recognition and a big thanks!

The Gas House has always been a Fort Wayne staple, but they have really upped their game the past couple years. I'm a big fan of jambalaya, and they continue to exceed expectations... best I've ever had!! Cudos to the chef and staff! Excellent food quality, generous portions, friendly and attentive service and reasonably priced.

Went with a group of 8 on 1/26/24. Amazing! Our waitress Jenny - the BEST we’ve ever had at any restaurant (and we’ve had lots) she was attentive, funny, great service. The food was fabulous as always.

Long time customer here! My husband ordered the filet and they didn’t disappoint, it was spot on! Salmon was flaky and perfect! Thanks to the server and bartender! The Christmas decorations are lovely too! Thanks for a great experience ❤

Bar tender Katie was awesome. Food was good. Lived the artichoke dip and Brussel spouts. The filet sliders were good, too much blue cheese. Would definitely recommend going here.

Very unique restaurant. Great food...actually one of the best, if not the best, steak meals I've ever had. From the Gumbo soup to the steak and onion rings, it was great!
