This park is maintained very well. I went there a day it had rained all night. Having white dogs, I wasn't sure what color they would be after visiting this park. They have a raised area that is AstroTurf and the rest of the park is mulch. My dogs had fun and left there dry!

I have been visiting Clay Terrace Dog Park for over 2 years now and it has never disappointed me and my GSD. We love the good number of dogs - every breed, shape, size and form running around and playing to their hearts content. Beware, that the mulch inside is as intense as it could get at the moment. So much so that I wear old, worn shoes when I visit the dog park. There’s no water supply so I get my own bottle and there’s definitely plentiful poop bags. The parking is massive and it’s free of cost. It definitely is worth the mulch just due to the sheer number of people from the community. The camaraderie is amazing!

Been here many times and never had a problem. There are water bowls and they have added a water hose. These pics are from a spring Friday eve.

For a free park, this is a good place to take your dog to. I’ve only had a few times where a dog has been overly aggressive, but that cannot be blamed on the park itself but the people who come around. Always cleaned up and maintained!

There's some downside to this park, it doesn't have water so you have to bring some for your dog. Sometimes it gets crowded and not everyone pays attention to their dogs. However, this is the only park that is decent and publically accessible without a membership.

Dogs are all super friendly and owners are attentive. Suggest bringing lots of water. Well kept and free

Best dog park in the area. People are good about picking up after their dogs. And there is no membership!

My female Cavapoo puppy and I really love this park. We’ve been going for a few months now and she’s always excited to go play and meet other dogs. She was very shy and timid during our first few visits, but now is very familiar with the place and loves to explore it. I love that they don’t require a membership to join, have upgraded their trash cans for dog waste, added benches, and have free water and water bowls for dogs. I recommend bringing your own water and poop bags since I find their bags a little hard to use, but that just might be me. We have met all kinds of nice dogs and people. The only thing I wish they would have is a separate area for big dogs and little dogs. My dog is usually more comfortable around the smaller ones, since she is at her full weight of 13 pounds. However, she has met some big dogs that don’t play too rough and has gotten along well with them. Other than that, we really enjoy this dog park. We visit often. :)

Found this dog park while looking for one that didn't require you to pay to get in, as we'd taken my 8 month old Husky puppy with us on the road trip, and he's used to a yard, not a leash 24/7.

It's a very, very nice dog park. We didn't stay very long though as Archer was very freaked out by the sheer number of other dogs, so I assume this is a very popular park! Would recommend for dogs who are acclimated to being around lots and lots of other dogs, perhaps not so much for dogs who don't enjoy a literal pack of dogs running rampant haha

This is a small little dog park behind the shopping at clay terrace. It's a little ways back from a kids playground. It has a couple trees and benches, but no water bowls or fountains. It has a double door entry way to give buffer for dogs coming or going. The ground gets extremely torn up so expect lots of mud if it's rained. This is actually a free park, but everyone I've met there has been great. As with any dog park, you do need to be mindful of your and other dogs. When I went in February there was probably 30 dogs there because it was a warm day. Even so it didn't feel too crowded. My only conplaint is when people bring small children when the sign clearly states children under 13 aren't allowed. Not all dogs are kid friendly and the park is for the dogs.

Yes, this park gets muddy when wet so bring a towel to wipe their paws. But this place is so much fun! Awesome people! I've been to other dog parks and the people are just plain rude. I havent had a single bad experience here. Come here if your dogs aren't afraid to get a little dirty!

Just left! First time ever taking my dog to a dog park and she had a blast. Not sure what it looked like before but currently they have tons of tennis balls everywhere, a few frizzbes, and a few obstacle courses for the dogs to play on. Few spots for shade for them to sit under. Bring your own water for the dogs and be willing to share! There are two containers for dog waste and little baggies. It seemed like everyone picked up their dogs poop and didn’t really see any anywhere but watch your step just Incase! There is fake grass laid out, and wooden mulch in the bigger play area. It rained yesterday and my dog didn’t get muddy at all! Definitely will be bringing her back for sure.

For a smaller park, it was great. Fellow owners did good job watching dogs, plus liked the idea they have hose available.

Only dog park I've ever been too and I love it! The regulars are nice to newcomers and let you know how things are going (i.e. "she is growling but only playing", etc. As a newbie to the park, I didn't know how my four month old puppy would behave. She was nipped a few times, as part of the socialization process, but she has been a better companion for my old, toy dog at home. She is also becoming more gentle when she is 'biting' me during play time.

There always seems to be new people at the park introducing new dogs and generally, they all get along, with a few alpha moments followed by submissions. At times a few dogs need to be separated due to the obsession of one to another. There are some large dogs that are completely unaware of their ginormous size and try to hide under or behind a bench.

Everybody loves on everyone's dogs and even will share their water with others. While there is no water supply (boo), which would be an awesome perk, there are doggy waste receptacles with doggy bags, in case you didn't bring your own. Most of the time, everyone is keeping an eye on their dog to catch them pooing in order to keep the park nice to walk around. Occasionally, there are misses, so keep your eyes opened.

There seems to be plenty of old tennis balls and a few frisbees that you can throw, but mostly, the dogs chase each other, which is what we all want! Burn off that energy!! As in my own neighborhood, we know each other by our dogs names; slowly meeting some of the regulars by name as I become more of a regular myself after only two weeks.

At times, I've seen families walk near the fence with their little ones. I've yet to see anything happen except for my 13 lb puppy who wanted so desperately to be on the other side of the fence that she tried to wiggle herself through and got stuck! While I thought it was funny, it is still a lesson learned that smaller dogs need to be watched nearer the fence while not so nice ones could cause some harm.

I agree with another post that the park can be either dusty or muddy, but I really do not care so long as I can let her run free. If there was water for not only the dogs to drink but to rinse off, that would be absolute heaven.
As it is, I bring a cage to bring her back home since she muddied my car front seat the first time we went! If your dog is freshly bathed, think twice about attending. If they do not get rolled on the ground from tripping while running, or tussling with another dog, they will for sure get slobbered on by some other dog. And for those that give water to the dogs there, some, like mine, play in it and get themselves wet and then muddy. I've resigned myself to a dirty dog and wash her at home (or not).

There are so many different breeds of dogs to meet and so many dispositions. It is really fun to be there!

So I just moved from Chicago where all the dog parks are free and I was super irritated to find out that almost all dog parks in the area require you to pay for a membership or to buy passes + show vaccination records. I could go on a whole rant about how that’s b*llsh*t but I’ll stick to the rating. This is a GREAT FREE dog park. There is plenty of room for dogs to romp around and play. There is like no dirt anywhere, only mulch and grass turf so no more worries about the mud (which I’ve seen in previous reviews). There are little obstacles for the dogs where they can get some shade but almost no places for their humans to get some shade. They had a large umbrella set up but it was broken so I dont know if they have future plans to try and increase the amount of shade. They just remodeled and it is a bummer they didn’t add any water fountains for drinking or hose lines for those cheap plastic kiddie pools that the doggies could use to cool off in. In my experience almost all dogs love kiddie pools to cool off in so if there is anything this park is missing it would be the kiddie pools and some more shade!

This park is well kept and nice. Lots of things for dogs to climb on and space to run. Multiple tennis balls just around the park too. Only way it could be better would be some shade.

MY DOG’S FAVORITE PLACE ON EARTH! Everyone is so friendly and very proactive with preventing any kind of dog fights or issues. I drive 30 minutes to come to this park 1-2 times a week.
