Meditrina Market Cafe

Hadn’t been to Meditrina in a while and recently dined there twice in one week it was so good. This small quaint restaurant has been around for years and our recent visit reminded me why. Consistently great fresh food, fair prices, and helpful friendly staff. We had the feta stuffed dates, cucumber yogurt dip, paprika chicken, chicken shawarma pita, chicken shawarma dinner (added tabbouleh), and snapper dinner special. Another past favorite is the fatoush salad with chicken. You really can’t go wrong with any dish. Also try the plum-wine cooler! If you’ve never been to Meditrina or haven’t been there in a while, give it a visit!

Small family run business with great food and good wine. They rotate through wine on a regular basis. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Regular menu is always on point with my favorite being the Paprika chicken. Specials are great. The lamb shank is one of my favorites and the lamb kabobs that are in photo were fantastic. Get the chocolate mousse if available you wont me sorry. My favorite restaurant in Valparaiso Indiana.

Delicious! Food was amazing! Staff was very busy but very attentive! Will definitely be going back! I had salmon over rice, but for me, the green bean salad was the best surprise I could ask for. It was different than anything I have had before and I could eat it every day, so good!

My husband and I ate here on Valentine's Day. The service and the food was amazing. I had the paprika chicken and rice. I was really happy that the food was made to order. I have to watch my sodium intake because I have heart issues. They made my dinner without added salt. I will definitely visit here again!! Very cozy and excellent service!!!

Love this place ❤ I was visiting from out of town, Houston, and went with my sister my niece the food was delicious. The white wine was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice. It was very small, but we all fit must’ve been a popular spot. There were so many people waiting, but really enjoyed this little place. I will surely visit when I come back into town.

Such great food! I got the chicken shawarma plate , the greens were so delicious. Of course the food was also. The homemade hummus was amazing also.

Vegan and Vegetarian Friendly!!! If you are in Valparaiso, and hungry, you need to stop here. It is and has everything a vegan or vegetarian could like. The outside seating was ever so lovely and what a great atmosphere. They do close between dinner and lunch. Their hours on google are up to date and i suggest being early for your date. The seating is a little limited but so worth it:)

I really enjoyed the lentil salad with bacon. Perfect balance of flavors and textures. We enjoyed the falafel and chicken shawarma too. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Can't wait to go back.

Small delightful restaurant packs a powerful puzzle ch when it comes to taste and flavor. Cozy but friendly atmosphere and great service. Daily specials and good selection of wine.

We have been wanting to check out Meditrina for a while now. It did not disappoint! The interior was reminiscent of a cozy Cafe we visited in North Africa. The service was amazing, and the food was FULL of flavor. To top it off, the Turkish coffee reminded us of coffee we had in North Africa as well. As I have struggled to replicate the recipe at home, I asked for their technique. Not only did the staff share the recipe, they also gave us a sampling of their coffee grounds to enjoy at home! We will be returning to try more items on the menu for sure!

Great food! Great service! Cozy atmosphere! Our server was amazing! The lamb chops were delicious, the hummus platter was a great starter. Highly recommend the Spanish wine and Turkish coffee too! Meditrina is one of our all time favorites!

This is great Mediterranean restaurant. It is pretty small and cozy, but the service is very personal and the staff are great. We had the falafel pita sandwich and the daily special lentil soup. Both tasted delicious. The baklava was the perfect way to end the meal.

What they don't tell you about this place is how the food makes you feel. Eating here feels like seeing the sun for the first time, or getting a hug from your favorite person in the world. It feels like how you feel when you listen to your favorite song. It's comforting, calming, delicious, and out of this world! The chef really knows what she is doing and everyone there is what makes this place so special!!!

It’s a place that you don’t wanna miss if in the city. The setting is beautiful and cozy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a small space so you might wanna make reservations. Vegetarian vegan friendly. We tried feta stuffed dates, soup of the day and falafel sandwich. The concentrated pomegranate served with feta stuffed dates was divine. Soup was really warm and filling. Baklava is a must try, perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. The service is super good. They are really warm and welcoming. Majority staff was women, which was truly special to see. Great job you all. We loved this place and definitely recommend it.👍🏼

Such fresh delicious food. Love that they have specials so you can try something different each time. We started with the bacon wrapped dates. I love these. I make them myself but theirs is better than mine. Their bacon quality is top notch. Would love to know where they get it from. It was also in my dish, the warm lentil salad with bacon and goat cheese. I added salmon. Soo good. My fiance had one of the specials, a gyro. He was quite happy with the variety in the plate. And the rice! If you like dill, definitely try it. Decor is cute too! We DEFINITELY will be back. We just don't live close by this will have to be one of our Valpo go to's.

HOLY SMOKES IS THIS PLACE DELICIOUS! I am obsessed with the whole Branzino with green beans and rice. There is simply nothing like it in all of Valpo or the surrounding towns. Sitting outside on the patio in the summer eating Branzino, drinking wine and talking with my bestie Shelly are some of my favorite memories. I have had almost everything on their menu and can recommend all of it unless you are a picky eater. Writing this review makes me want to call and see if they have Branzino so I can go there for dinner! If you haven't tried Meditrina please go give them a try because it is truly a delightful place to eat.

The food is delicious! The service and the atmosphere make you enjoy the experience even more. Everyone is so nice that you just feel at home. Try the Turkish coffee.

Have loved this gem of a restaurant in Valpo for years. The food is so good, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere looks cramped at first, but then you sit down and it's nice and intimate. They've really made the place nice over the years and clearly care about taking care of the place. High recommend!

The service was excellent and welcoming. Ordered the deluxe wrap at the servers recommendation. It was absolutely delicious. Great spice kevel and not oversauce like most other pita places in the area. Did not leave me burping up mediterranean spices all day. Extremely happy and will be back.
