Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort

Incredible resort. The staff are so wonderful and friendly. The physical property is gorgeous and very well maintained. The rooms are HUGE and stunning. The bathroom is amazing, huge soaker tub, rain type shower head, two sinks, light up mirror. Nice balcony. The beach is pure soft white sand and turquoise blue sea. I hope everyone can stay here in their life..

Look no further than Royal 💪 we were super impressed from the get go. Our room was spacious and super clean at all times. The food was amazing and we really appreciated the variety of foods and delicious desserts. The resort has 360 degrees of beautiful views, and it's so convenient to jump into one of 5 pools to cool down and have a drink. The staff is amazing and friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. On the booking sites and their website it state that they serve selected local beers, wine, rum etc which is included in the package and we got exactly that. Would highly recommend the resort, and we'll definitely be back 😁

A superb location that not only has charm but beauty too. Picturesque beaches with outreaching palms are only a small part of this truly enriched part of Nungwi, what makes this place special is the people. No matter what role the person has within the resort, from a lady tending the garden, through the server in one of the restaurants to management, you are always greeted with the hugest of smiles! It is clear that the people really enjoy their jobs! We have enjoyed our time here immensely and would not hesitate to revisit again in the future. Well done Royal Beach Resort, you made our stay an extremely pleasurable one! Thank you

Words can hardly describe how beautiful this resort was. Everything was amazing and on point. I can't wait to go back. The service is amazing. It is truly paradise.

The Hotel is awesome! The best I've ever been. People working there are so nice and helpful. Food is very very taste. Drinks in glasses are delicious! Everything is top.
I have to mention about (in my opinion) the worst side of Zanzibar. The Hotel is located close to Nungwi beach, one of the most beautiful place in island. Very close. The problem is with large number of trickster (I don't know if this name is appriopriate but I mean local people who want to sell you something) at the beach. You just leave hotel's border and a lot of tricksters run to you with offers. You don't have calm at the beach. All time somebody run to you and simple "No" is not sufficient in a lot of situations. It is sad, hotel is beautiful but beach is completely useless because of those tricksters.
But at the end, I love this hotel and people working there. Thanks you for the best time!

Zanzibar is a beautiful paradise in Africa. Amazing resort with great beach access, friendly staff, nice and clean room, multiple swimming pools, and great food selection for vegetarian, vegan, and indian food options. The drive from airport to resort is around 90 mins. The best part of the resort was the nice and friendly staff. We would like to give a big shout out to the following staff...Simba, IsHaka, Rebecca, Anwar, Vivan, Haxclay, Jean (manager), Sarah, Ibrahim, Munira, Beatrice, Rosie, and the amazing chef Bhakti and Nitan. We were glad to meet and talk with the owner Bijal who was really nice and down to earth. Sorry we did not get chance to get everyone's name but every single staff we came across was amazing and they made our stay very memorable and we can't wait to come back again :) Everything was great from the time we checked-in to check-out. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you so much to all the staff from bottom of our heart.

Perfect stay🤩 Excelent food, helpful and friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Very nice beach with no seeweed and barely no tides. No crowds at the pools and no loud music. Place for people willing to relax and enjoy the holidays. Congratulations to the hotel staff - without You the place wouldn't be so perfect😍🥰

We stayed at the Zanzibar Royal for couple of nights in June . Beautiful hotel, top notch and friendly service. The food was excellent. Lunch and Dinner buffets were had different variety. Mr. Muru and his staff were very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The pool area and the beach were beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Highly recommend staying here. I wish we had few more nights here.

I had an amazing solo vacation at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort. The hotel, the rooms are spacious and clean and the scenery and beautiful sunsets were everything! The staff are lovely, helpful and courteous, especially Calvin the bar tender. He was so informative and knowledgeable; he recommended and excellent choice of cocktails, wines and non alcoholic drinks for me and some friends I had met whilst on vacation. He also assisted me when I felt unwell one day by preparing a natural fruit juice to help settle my stomach, he is a credit to the hotel. I would definitely visit again.

We were a party of 10 ranging from teenagers to elderly and I believe that I can safely say that we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort and gardens are stunning, the beach is fabulous, the excellent food, every day, was varied with something to suit everyone’s taste. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff were always smiling and helpful. The weather was a challenge but there was a never ending supply of umbrellas and plenty of places to get out of the rain. The upside was that it cooled everything down a bit. The 'beach boys' are a bit of a nuisance but only on the walk down the pristine beach to get into the crystal clear sea - and as it’s a public beach, the hotel have no control over that part. Be careful with the jet ski crowd on the beach (also nothing to do with the resort) as they tried to con one of our teenagers, accusing him of damaging the machine by ramming a boat. He didn’t as we were watching him the whole time so just be very wary.
Everything is quite a walk away as it covers a large area but the pathways and steps are very manageable. Speaking as the oldest 'elderly' in our group, by the end of our stay I found I was managing quite nicely - obviously the exercise did me good!
I would definitely go back and for a longer stay.

Very beautiful. The accommodations are excellent. The food is all to good with lots of variety & of different cultures. The staff is amazing. If there's something different you want to eat they will try & accommodate you the best they can. U can get room service. The beach is white soft sand.

Really enjoyed my stay. Staff were really good and accommodating. Food was nice and varied generally from night to night. Enough pools to keep you interested and beach was nice too.

Location is good if you’re looking to stay on the resort. We hired a car for a few days to get out and about.

It grows on you at the end of the holiday we did not want to leave. Most beautiful place ever.

Such an oasis amongst lots of poverty en route to the hotel, but everyone we passed was smiling and looked happy. Totally worth the effort and the cost to visit here.

Friendly staff, a fantastic alliance between the Masai and the hotel...never any problem on this site. I love the relaxed atmosphere because you can truly relax here.

The bar staff at all areas are very attentive, as are the restaurant staff. The chefs here are fantastic with something available for everyone at most times of the day. Room service is also available for after=hours.

I recommend this for brits looking for something special...please visit, you won't be disappointed!!

The Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort is a resort like no other. The hospitality is incredible, along with amazing food, beautiful suites, and very well kept and clean. My family and I all enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next time we can visit again!

I'm taxi driver always I go to pick up my clients for transfers and executions as Royal hotel their security are very friendly they don't have disturbing

An amazing place for a vacation with family and friends. Their staff are friendly & their food is great. Great staff dress code (maasai theme), Spacious rooms, epic views, amazing swimming pool layout.

Gave their service a 4 because I kept asking for water but the staff servicing my room never put water in my room, even after calling the reception a couple of times no bootle was dispatched. Otherwise I give the rest of the things a 5 star.
