MJ Cafe' Nungwi

Nice location and tasty food for a fair price. The staff is very friendly. We came four times for dinner. Every meal was delicious. The fruit shakes are amazing.

💯 Good food. The chicken was so amaizing. So sad l didn't order one. I ordered chicken wrap which was ok but not good as l expected. The sauce in it was giving.... But their salad green leaf 🍃 was so so good l ate all of my friends place and ordered takeaway but they didn't give me some more. All in all 💯

Nice place to stop by and have lunch before heading to the beach. You can enjoy the atmosphere and the stunning beach views. Nice hotels and Bungalows. Ideal place for lovers getaway.

The food is very tasty, big portions, fresh sea food. It’s kind of cheap in compare to other restaurants on the beach. The restaurant staff is very kind. The service is fast. We waited 2 times around 20-30min. Here you can’t order beer but they don’t mind having one with you. I recommend this place

I highly recommend this place if you are in Nungwi. The staff is very friendly and the menu has a great variety of options including vegetarian, seafood, and other options including chicken and beef. The prices are really fair and food is very delicious! I had a smoothie and the veggie Sambosa with fries. I’ll have to go back to try even more!

This is a restaurant in the middle of nowhere but the food is great. Good quality and big portions. Definitely a go-to place for great food at a very reasonable price. They do not sell liquor but do allow you to go and buy liquor at the liquor store across the road and consume it on premises.

I struggled between 4-5 stars, but figured the restaurant could use an uplift so 5!

Went here looking for a simple meal that could be customized to my dietary preferences. The team delivered with an entree that included a few modifications but still tasted delicious and was properly seasoned! A nice change in pace after a horrible lunch at Badolina Tokyo where I asked them not to add soy sauce and chili oil and well not only was it flavorless, it had a dead bug in it!

Big bonus is you can pay by credit card, and at least as of now they don’t charge any additional surcharges! A nice surprise.

Like any restaurant In Zanzibar, the service is “slow” compared to western standards, but compared to other places I have dined in Zanzibar, this was relatively fast!

If something on the menu looks good, probably my worth stopping by given their very competitive prices!

Delicious food, big portions, reasonable prices and very nice staff. We tried noodles with sea food, pasta with beef, chicken curry, octopus curry, calamari curry, everything was so delicious. And we tried peanut butter chocolate banana milkshake and it was just amazing!

We've tried something sweet and the crepes were delicious! The prices are very different of the touristic restaurants because is not in the beach (a huge difference just with 3 min. walking away from the beach), but totally worth it even without the view. For tourists who are not able to afford a 10$ (if not more) for every meal, just go there and try it! 😄 I'm sorry about the half crepe pic, I forgot to take a picture before I start 😅

Very good place to go for food. We tried chicken and prawns wrap, grilled octopus and everything was excellent. The wait for food is not that long and they have excellent fresh juices. Large portions of food, reasonable price

A place where you can eat very good food at very good prices.

The food was delicious, we specially recomend the smoothies and juices, but the regular food also fantastic. Definitely we will go there again.

Authentic, kind, & welcoming! Nice break from the hustle & bustle of the hotel/resort area. Very tasty food, fresh juices & smoothies. Right next door to Skuli Ya Nungwi (Secondary School). Giggling at the sounds of happy children while watching motorbikes zip around goats & cows - amazing.
