The Corner

Definitely the best pizza in Nungwi and one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The Diavola in particular is really amazing, but the Quatro formaggi is great too. The steak is also very delicious and well prepared, just don't expect European style steak which is almost impossible to get anywhere around. And don't forget to try the avocado salad, it's also very tasty. Add nice staff and pleasant owner to it and you get one of the best restaurants around. 🙂

Went here for lunch based on reviews. Food was really good, especially pasta. Fish was a bit dry but seems to be common in Zanzibar to overcook meat and fish. The staff was super helpful and while it took some time with the food, they kept us posted on the progress. Toilets were clean. Will visit again.

Amazing Italian restaurant! Have been a couple of days and I recommend their pizzas as they are cooked in a fire oven. The service is excellent!

I Must say The corner has Excellent food, extensive menu, friendly staff & the Perfect location!! From the moment we walked in we were given 5 star service.
After a fun afternoon at the beach we were told The Corner pizzeria and Italian restaurant has the best food in Nungwi beach by the locals & tourists and boy was it true!! The restaurant was located 2min walk from the beach and had a light & relaxing Decor. We started by ordering the grilled chicken Caesar salad & the avocado salad as an appetizer, I’m not a necessarily a big salad person but I truly enjoyed our starter. For entree I order the grilled lobster with side of fries and my friend ordered the seafood platter. My lobster was delicious & cooked to perfection & my friends seafood food platter was full of flavor and very filling!!! To wrap up an already amazing meal the waitress suggested we try the Panna cotta… literally a piece of heaven in my mouth, it was so delicious I had to order one to go. Please do yourself a favor and try the Corner while you’re in Zanzibar, you will not be disappointed.

It’s the best in Nungwi. Excellent pasta,Top pizza, and delicious seafood. The location is perfect, just off the beach. Very friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. I visited this place daily during my stay.
Now, after two years , I came back, and still super good food, and service. The best Tomato soup and the French fries I’ve ever had, really special at this place.

Just had the best pizzas in town. Proper oven. -:) Calzone, chicken pizza and seafood pizza. All three very yummy.

Delicious food made w fresh ingredients and at similar cost to other restaurants at Nungwi beach. The 4 cheese pasta was delicious. The cheeseburger was also excellent but a bit dry. 5 star strong cocktails

Was so good we went there twice in a week -- the only spot that was good enough to warrant a second visit. We tried a bit of everything, but the pizza is what really shines at this place. Excellent crust, made in a proper pizza oven. I'd order this even at home!

A great little spot to have some wood fired pizza. They are decent sized thin crust pizzas - We ordered two pizzas between two people and was very full by the end. Service is friendly. Would recommend.

Great breakfast, with the entire variety of food. Lunch and dinner were also very good, and the pizzas were the best in the region :)

whatever you want to eat, this is the place. It is useless to mention the pizza considering that the management is Italian, because it is not the only excellent dish .. this place is certainly also the best for enjoying fish away from strong and altered flavors. The location is friendly and very welcoming. It is the right place to collect good memories and pleasant evenings .. this is my opinion, but also all my customers always return very satisfied!

It’s defo the best pizza I have eaten in Zanzibar. They have a proper oven to make them which is a big advantage vs other places (they are probably using already made bases). Anyway, I ate Diavola and Vegetariana - very decent pizzas. They are more American style (crispy base) rather than Italian. I would probably go there again if I’m craving for pizza.

My favourite style of pizza. Thin, crispy crust with wood fire taste, and perfectly salted tomato base as you watch beach visitors come and go.

Amazing place with amazing food. Everybody is really nice and food is delicious, definately would reccomend to eat here while staying at Nungwi.
