Baraka Beach Restaurant

Ata a few times at Baraka as there were so many things to try from the menu. Fruit juices were spot on, service was excellent every night, seafood was tasty and well done. Completed our stay in Nungwi, definitely recommend this place. We enjoyed it more than once.

The fish from the grill was very good and the appetizer could be an own main dish. Sitting on the beach and watching the sunset... nothing to top the atmosphere. Service was also nice and easy.

We were walking along deciding where to have dinner and saw Baraka absolutely full. We walked to check their menu and the seafood looked so fresh we couldn’t resist, we were so happy we had dinner there. One of the best lobster we have tried in Nungwi by far, we also ordered the greek salad which was super fresh. Very friendly service, the atmosphere was really nice, locals perform shows in front of the restaurant on the beach. Great overall experience!

One of the best in island!
Fresh food and reasonable prices. We have eaten at Baraka twice for a lunch and a dinner. For both cases, we have left the place with full satisfaction.
We had the chance to try many food in there, all were exceptional. Highly recommended!
Tips: probably the best price/efficient lobster is served in here in the island. Dont miss!

This is definitely a great address for fresh and delicious fish and sea food dishes. I loved the chill atmosphere and the cozy light in the evenings.

The lobster was tasty and juicy, along with the fried calamari rings. Cocktails were very nice, a bit strong on alcohol, but can be adjusted upon request.

We went to Baraka on our last night in Nungwi. We were very disappointed about that as we loved it so much we would have loved to repeat 😍
The grilled catch of the day was such a good portion and tasty. And the seafood pasta… honestly some of the best pasta I ever had (would prefer without the chicken though, but it was still super good!).

I fully recommend coming here. The atmosphere at night is also worth it and a good spot for sunset if you go early enough!

Very good and very cheap. You should try the food here. We ate only lobster because they are so good.

The wait time was quite long, but prices are good for a beach location (22k tzs for grilled octopus) and the food was amazing. Music was not so great and a bit loud not mixing well with the beach atmosphere.

Probably the best place in Nungwi to have seafood. The highlight is the lobster which you can enjoy perfectly grilled. It comes in plenty of sizes so make sure you choose beforehand what you want to eat. The prices are good as compared to other seafood restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.

A restaurant where at 7 p.m. you can choose very high quality and fresh fish at great prices, romantic atmosphere, feet in the sand and the sound of the ocean. Very professional staff who greet you with a smile and find you a place more. I already miss such good and healthy food and all the smiling people. Hakuna matata.😊

The Night Seafood BBQ
Direct to the sea, the tables and the BBQ are placed.
We got Octopus and Lobster grilled, Lobster-Pasta, mixed Seafoodtempura and Calamari sauté. All had been excellent.
But an extra praise for the buttersmooth Octopus!

I had the fish (tuna) kebab with chips and chipati. To drink I got the passion fruit juice. I highly recommend both the meal and drink; they both were incredibly fresh and flavorful.

I ate lobster and it was the best I tried in Zanzibar and didn’t spent 100$+ on it. The food is fresh and tastes good, I definitely recommend Baraka if you want to eat seafood. Really good price-performance.
