Kings Restaurant, Zanzibar

Came here to have lunch and tried the chicken biryani. It tasted amazing with tender chicken and well spiced sauce. The portion size was very big too and the price unbeatable. If you want to eat local food - you have to try this! It’s located on the main road with many different shops surrounding it, so good for looking for t shirts and souvenirs! The waitress was very friendly and cute. Perfect food after our regular gym sessions in the Nungwi Fitness Center

This was our first place eating out in Nungwi and couldn’t have been better! Super tasty food, kind service and the price was unbelievable for such quality. Portions were very good (photos after half eaten plate because it was so good). Highly recommend.

King‘s Restaurant is 100% recommendable! We ordered Swahili Dishes and it was absolutely delicious! The price is unbelievably cheap for the amount of food and quality you get! On top of that, the waitress was so kind, we felt very comfortable. Would go back anytime!

Excellent and cheap food. I can recommend: chicken or beef biriani, noodles with chicken sauce, chicken curry, spice chicken with herbs graves. Large portions of food, we ate here for over a month and never once had intestinal problems.

Great place to taste local food and make deep dive with locals. Good variety of meals for any taste. But many flies if to sit outside.

We stayed 6 nights in Nungwi and we always came here for dinner. From the outside it doesn't look very nice, but the two girls working there are friendly, the menu is large, the food is amazing and the prices are the best on the island! We had almost everything on the menu, from grilled octopus to seafood pasta to seafood curry and so on... We always paid 20000 in two.

Very friendly waitresses, delicious food. Lot of options on the menu. It may not have the best ambiance/look, but it has an authentic feel to it with delicious food and friendly people. I recommend!

I ate seafood curry here. It had a lot of seafood and the sauce was really good!! The price is very reasonable.

MUST VISIT: Excellent local eatery located just 10 mins walk away from the beach, tourist friendly and personal service.

Much cheaper than all the restaurants on the beach, with double the portions and better service.

They also deliver, we ate from here everyday while being in Nungwi/Kendwa area.

Large variety of dishes, I'd recommend the Beef Steak with pepper sauce & chips.

I ordered catch of the day which was the tastiest and juciest tuna fish i ever had. Everything on the plate was tasty, even the cabbage salad! Reasonable prices. Just try!

You can eat Pizza, Pasta but also traditional meals like Ugali. The prices are cheap and they‘re very friendly. If you want you can pay with credit card but with a fee of 5% like everywhere in Zanzibar.
