Haji is a very nice and friendly guy, I searched a lot before I rent in zanzibar, and he has the best prices with very good reviews. I rented a scooter for 11 days, at a very good price, and all went well, I did 500kms on all the island. You can rent with Haji with your eyes closed😎

Good prices, easy and comfortable to arrange! They gave as the car in the arranged location and then they pick it up were it was easy for us to leave the car. They arranged also for also the driving permit and after some controls, no issues found. 100% recommended, would choose them again and again!

Was a good experience to rent a car with Karim , a bit difficult to find the office but karim came to meet us so was more easier by that way , i recommand him , no problem to give back the car.😉

Magical Healing & Voodoo in Zanzibar

Zanzibar offers many things for adventurous travelers but one of the most interesting aspects has to do with the island’s history of spiritual traditional healing and voodoo. This experience came about because we met a local tour guide named Haji Mdungi, who is one of the happiest people we have ever met. He runs his own car rental and tour company in Zanzibar. Haji grew up on a small island northwest of Zanzibar called Tumbatu Island where his grandfather was a practitioner of traditional medicine, what some might call magical healing and others might call voodoo. The traditions on this island are very strong so even today this type of practice is common. We were so intrigued but since it would be a bit difficult for us to travel to the island, we asked Haji if he could arrange for us to meet with a practitioner in Stone Town, the main town of Zanzibar. Well, he delivered and we had a distinctive experience.

We met a professional healer (actually credentialed) and his assistant. They were both older (difficult to guage the actual years) and seemed to fit their roles perfectly. We sat in a circle on mats on the floor inside one of the old buildings in Stone Town, while she laid out herbs and plants. A stone bowl was filled with incense which she held close inside her head covering to allow the smoke to purify her. She let out some screams and whirled her body around. Then the practitioner began to ask us questions getting to the point of what we wanted to address: for me, sleep (or lack of) and for my husband, a business question. Haji was the translator and we all went back and forth, focusing in on the problems and solutions. He also prepared our horoscopes through sand and searched our palms for clues.

At the end, Haji explained that there were medicines that they could prepare for us to help resolve our issues if we wanted. They would continue to refine the needs and prepare the medicines to be ready the next day. We came back the next day when the practitioner gave us the medicines and instructions. Off we went having participated in something unique and enriching, learning how traditional medicine continues to have practical applications still today.

By the way, Haji also arranged a tour to the Jozani Forest where we got to see a good number of the famous Zanzibar Red Colobus monkeys. Haji also gave us a good tour of Stone Town, sharing his deep knowledge of the area with us. We had a wonderful couple of days and highly recommend Haji for all your tour needs, and car rental needs, while in Zanzibar. You will surely part friends as we did.

I had a 11 hour layover in Zanzibar. He took me out for lunch at Tembo Hotel and then to Prison Island. Left my luggage at his office. Very pleasant and efficient. Thumbs up 👍!

Quick and smooth scooter rental. Friendly owner that arranged local driving licenses for us and after a short introduction we were on the move. He even showed us how to get out of the city and dropped us at a quieter road. Renting a scooter is a great way to experience the island, it was a beautiful trip. Definitely recommended!

Rental of a suv for 5-6 days. Practical vehicle, well equipped and no problems. Picking up the car was very easy and so was the return! I recommend. Very good communication with Haji who is very available.

We rent a bike for a week and from very beginning it was nice to deal with the owner Haji. Communication was easy. We just call the Tel number written in the maps ***858 and make an appointment in 30 minutes in order to see the bike condition. Haji was very punctually and positive. he had made for us the sansibar special driving permission. For this he took away our driving licence for one day and give it back with the bike next day. The condition of the bike was good, so we could driven the whole ireland during the 7 days. It wasn"t broken anytime. sometimes we were stopped by police more than 3 times a day. With this special permission we have never had any problems with the police. Moreover we got nice experience with the police. We made often jokes with us. About the driving on the ireland, don't be scarry. the most roads (yellow on the google map) are new or renovated. there are not many cars on the road. We had a feeling that it was more easy to drive than in Thailand or in Vietnam. For sure it chaotically in the stown town, but it is the issue in all main cities in every country, just come out and enjoz the trip with the beutiful view on bananas fields or colorful beaches.

Moreover, Haji has a Whats app. So it is verz easz to communicate anytime

Everything was perfect with Haji!He was always available for answer our doubts before, and during the trip. He bringed the motorbike to our hostel with the full tank. The motorbike was working perfect. we didnt have any problems with anything. Don't doubt contacting haji! Asante sana!

Хорошие цены на аренду. Машина была в хорошем рабочем состоянии. Разрешение сделали за 15$. Единственный момент, мы не совсем поняли друг друга и с меня всю дорогу хотели взять дополнительных денег. Без знания языка, общаясь через гугл переводчик может возникнуть недопонимание. Но к чести хозяина, он решил вопрос в нашу пользу. Респект.

Très bonne communication et réactivité de la compagnie. Permis fait par leurs soins, pour 10$, nous avons eu 2 contrôles policier sans soucis. La voiture a bien fonctionné et elle était confortable et spacieuse. Remise des clefs à l'arrivée et au retour très simple.

Location de voiture au top ! Nous avons d'abord communiqué par WhatsApp et la voiture nous attendait en compagnie de Haji, même avec 3h de retard d'avion il nous a attendu tard le soir !
Nous avons voulu prolongé notre location de plusieurs jours, Haji s'est déplacé jusqu'à notre hôtel à 30min de Stone Town pour conclure le reste de la location !

У меня сломался гидроусилитель руля, машину заменили на еще более классную, большую, комфортную. Ставлю пять звёзд!!! Ребята, опыт - 4 месяца!

Nous avons loué un scooter 125 avec @zanzibarcarhireexpedition. Le scooter était en bon état. Le contact a été super facile via WhatsApp avec Hadji. Très réactif il nous a proposé un tarif très bon marché et nous a fait le certificat/permis pour rouler. Nous avons présenté ce certificat à tous les contrôles de police sans aucun problème.
Toujours ponctuel aux rendez-vous pour déposer et récupérer le scooter.
Nous n'avons pas eu à le contacter en cas de problème car tout c'est bien passé. Mais il nous a donné deux numéros en cas d'urgence.
Très sérieux, on recommande les yeux fermés !
