Papaya guest house

All the people in Zanzibar are so good and friendly but the staff in Papaya…they are something different. They are the most friendly and calm people you’ll ever met and you must be sure that your stay here will be 100% better than any other place. You will get delicious fruits for breakfast every single morning and as you wait for the breakfast you can enjoy the music they listen while preparing the food. The beach is just 2 minutes away and you can find many places to have lunch or dinner around. There’s not mosquitoes in the rooms and if there’s, be sure that Mohamed will help you with that. We stayed 4 nights at the Papaya Guest House. It is a very nice and friendly place, close to the beach (3 min walk). Our room had everything we needed for this price. The breakfast was very good, fresh selection of fruits every morning, coffee, tea and some egg or crepes. What I really have to tell, is that’s the service is outstanding. We really felt at home, Mohamed was always there, helping out: he actually helped os save a ton of money by arranging some transfers and local excursions. There was a barbecue night as well. I think that if someone wants to get a taste of local culture and its warm-hearted people, will feel good at Papaya House 🫶🏻

We stayed in Nungwi/Zanzibar in a group for 2 weeks. The Papaya Guest House near the breathtaking beach offers a comfortable and inviting stay for guests. This place is amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Papaya is near to beach and local shops. We have to back here.

It is a peacefull oasis. I felt free and safe so I could enjoy my stay carefree. Chef was very friendly. The proximity to the beach makes up for some of the disadvantages of Papaya guest house. I hope to come back again soon! :)

Very nice environment. Clean, spacious rooms with ENDLESS, hot water. And I mean seriously hot water. I showered until my fingers were wrinkly.

Уютное, красивое и спокойное место.
В шаговой доступности до океана.Сервис простой,но на уровне .Кухня очень вкусная,перепробовали почти все меню.Как тут готовят осьминогов и кальмаров это вышка.В общем тихое ,уютное место с вкусной кухней.

Wir waren im April im Papaya und waren recht zufrieden. Der Service des Hotels war recht gut. Täglich gab es Frühstück. Das Hotel ist sehr nah am Strand. Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Vielen Dank für alles

Очень приятный и гостеприимный хозяин. Дал массу полезных рекомендаций и организовал незабываемые экскурсии по острову а так же сафари. Останавливался у него не в первые, зная, что вкусная еда, доступность до пляжа и лучший сервис гарантированы. Рекомендую каждому!
