Highland Bungalows

We were here already second time and everything was perfect. The owners Britta and Albert are very nice and helpful people. We even celebrated here our engagement and staff with owners prepared very nice and unexpected surprise for us. It was really very beautiful and an unforgettable holiday. Greeting from the Czech.

It's an amazing place!! The greenery, the homey-like feel and environment. So, serene!! Best place to rewind and relax.

Beautiful little place to stay with ever-present owners. Lovely breakfasts, smoothies, and dinners. Staff is incredibly friendly, happy, and there. Will be back!

The service is friendly and nice. The hotel rooms are clean and reasonable (corresponding to the description). You can walk to the beach and the center of the village in 8-9 minutes, but the road is very dusty and broken.

The food is very good... and they're pool table which is very good

We really enjoyed our stay at Highland! The owner Britta was so lovely and manager Regina was always helpful with any requests such as printing flight itinerary or making local phone calls. Breakfast was plentiful and we liked that it is served until 11am. Restaurant and bar prices were also very reasonable and tasty.
Our room was spacious with air con and fan which was amazing! The bathroom and room were cleaned daily. Pool was so nice and clean too.
It's around a 10 minute walk to the beach front or 20 min walk into the main town with more restaurants and a few shops.
We would stay again when in Nungwi 😊

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The location is 5 minutes from the beach and the restaurant there is cheap, delicious and has huge portions!! $50 a night for a twin bungalow with breakfast included. Cheapest around but better than hotels in the beach. Highly recommended to all people!!

Excellent price-Value ratio. The set up in the bungalows is modern and the bungalows are extremelly clean. Excellent place to stay in the north.

The beach that is close if free of any sea weed which is great !
However the sea is quite far but walking distance.

Maybe one of the most friendliest and helpful staff I have ever experienced. Beautiful beach lays nearby, food is good and reasonably priced, and there is a possibility to pay with card (that is quite rare in this part of the world). I had an excellent time, only downside I found was not very strong wifi.

The place is clean with nice beds. Room service comes every day. You have fridge, hot water all the time. Terasse is really beautifull and relaxing with palm trees in front.

Food was excellent, cheap beer. Lovely staff. We'll come back again.

Good place to chill and to have some good breakfast accompanied by very cute little kittens that are making the whole hotel experience even better. Chilled manager and a clean swimming pool

Probalbly one of the cheapest backpackers in Nungwi.
The place has got a very local feel to it because the locals normally come to the bar.
The food is very local
And that gives you the best experience as a backpacker of a country and its people.
Not far from the sea. About 10 minute walk.
Their Bere is the cheapest of all the tourist bars in the area.

We didn't live there but it has nice, cosy local cafe with reasonable prices. Went there to have dinner quite often.

Was here only for restaurant. Good food for great price. 1000Tsh/game for pool table. Try the local menu. Delicious Nyama choma.
