Love 🥰 it! My fav part of the place!

We went on Friday around 2 pm and it was great not many people and we pay per person 🧍 28.71€ with the deal of 2 places.

Parking 🅿 around 3€

They close at 5:30 in winter time 🕰 and 6:30 in summer time.

The most breathtaking architecture in Ephesus. The Library of Celsus is considered an architectural marvel, and is one of the only remaining examples of great libraries of the ancient world located in the Roman Empire. Although it is over 1,800 years old, the Library of Celsus is still standing now, albeit in a partially restored state.

It is a building like a landmark of Ephesus. The grand library entrance seemed to signify the importance of books and learning. I highly recommend listening to the audio guide. explain in detail. There are guided tours, but I think the audio guide is better.
There is no shade and the sun is strong, so be careful if you go in summer.

Exciting architecture. Reconstructed due to high engagement of the Austrians.

It’s the highlight of Ephesus! If you’re here during winter there’ll be few crowds.

This is a beautifully well preserved ancient Roman library, was the third largest of its kind and a must see in person! It's the most iconic building within the ancient city of Ephesus - and by far one of the most well known ruins in Turkey. The architecture is simply beyond exquisite and this was definitely my favourite ancient structure that I saw during my tour of Anatolia. There's lots of information posted inside the library, but it's even better to go in with a guide who will point out the key facts and better showcase some of the more interesting things to pay attention to.

Get here early - as soon as park opens, run to have this place to your self for 30 or so minutes before the crowds get there.

Ephesus is probably one of the best preserved ancient cities in the world! The Library of Celsus is the most iconic landmark from Izmir. The details on the structure were so stunning. Definitely a must see when in the area! We had a tour guide who kept us informed about the history which was amazing.

Mesmerizing, amazing and wonderful site. A most to see in Turkey. You will need to have a professional guide to explain meticulously the historical background of each monument and place. It is highly recommended to go either in early spring or in fall. Don’t forget to wear long sleeve’s shirt and be equipped with a large hat. Having water with you is a most.

Lovely looking arches of library. Slippery rocks though, be carefull. Becoming crowded time to time as tour busses come and go.
Around entrance there is a small bazar for souveniers, few small shops for drink and snacks, WC.
Parking lot provided. On parking lot you can pay and get a horse carrige ride to the sight, but honesy there is no need unless you really interested in carrige ride itself. Sight is small and walking distance is pretty close plus all the way there is something to see and take pictures, explore.

It's like a miracle. The perfect spot for Instagram photos.
Keep in mind that you should wear a hat and have a bottle of water cause it's hot and sunny

IMHO The Main Attraction in Ephesus is The Library of Celsius. Amazingly well preserved (there are no books there anymore though), the entire site is beyond imagination. I promise you'll be impressed even if you aren't the greatest archeology buff. Photos/videos/reviews wouldn't do justice. A must.

Amazing ruins .gets very hot need hat and plenty of water be careful on the slippery marble road a few people tripped or slipped. Spent 2 hours there but didn't go to see the terrace houses so it could take a lot longer than 2 hours. But well worth the visit

A must visit place! The Ephesus ancient city is full of rich history. Suggest to get the audio guide or a walking tour guide with you to explain the history behind it. Expect to spend about 1.5hrs here. There are also alot of cats here that are very friendly. Infront of the library there are photographers who will take your photo and print it out for 40TYL

Absolutely stunning place. If your in this region of Turkey, its a must if you havnt seen it before. 1 of the ancient 7 wonders of the world! If you want some history on the place there is history boards around the place but I suggest you go one better and get yourself a guide. They are friendly and know there stuff. Go and be impressed.

Stunning views of a large area. Was lucky we had good weather today.

Loads of tourists and thus a bit harder to take nicer pictures. Can’t imagine how it would be like in summer 😅

Love this place , relaxing and full of history, it's just one hour far from Izmir , it worth to take one day tour .
Try to have some sandwich and water , It can cost more than normal.
It's better to read about place and then visit ,
Don't miss it .

“The ancient city of Ephesus is Turkey’s most important ancient city, and one of the best preserved and restored. One can still stroll for hours along its streets passing temples, theatres, libraries, houses and statues. It contains such grand public buildings as the impressive Library of Celsus, the theatre, the Temple of Hadrian and the sumptuous Temple of Artemis which is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The ruins also include public toilets and even a brothel dating mostly from the fourth century BC.”
