It is not a huge museum but a must-see place if you visit Ephesus. First of all, the iconic Artemis sculpture is located here. Also a realistic miniature of Artemis Temple can be see in the museum. There is a hall for the foundings from Terrace Houses. Parking lot is available in front of the museum. If you have Museum Card, you can visit here with it.

Very impressive site. I would recommend buying tickets in advance and going with a guide, if at all possible. A few practical things:
1. There are restrooms at the beginning and end of the site. If you stay inside the site, the restrooms are free.
2. It gets very crowded, so go early.
3. Traffic is nutty around the site, so hire a car, if possible.

Amazing historical place and so glad the Turkish kept it preserved.
Faith wise and reality of truth, to each its own! Look up Ethiopian Orthodox Churchs.

This museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in delving deeper into the rich history of the region. Walking through its well-curated exhibits, I was struck by the incredible collection of artifacts on display. From intricately carved statues and intricate jewelry to remarkably preserved mosaics, every piece tells a fascinating story of life in ancient Ephesus.

Amazing place, lots of history, very enjoyable if you like history. Can go with the family. It’s a bit hard for handicaps.

Incredible ancient Greek city that is still well preserved. It's always fascinating to walk among ruins that date back centuries and try and imagine what life could have been like.

Definitely go to the library to admire some incredible Greek/Roman architecture. Go early because this place gets flooded with tourists.

There's a massive ancient theatre that could accommodate 25k spectators that you can visit. You can even see the ancient plumbing systems and toilets.

It's definitely worth a visit. It's an incredible piece of preserved history and yet there is so much of it that is still hidden.

Loved this museum. The Artemis section was top notch. Must visit while in Ephesus. One of the nicer museums in Turkey. It was well organised and easy for us to learn about the events in chronological order. Absolute must visit.

This has to be one of the best examples of ruins with some restoration. The terrace houses are remarkable! And the amphitheater is even more remarkable!! The acoustics are crazy good!

I came here before I went to the ancient city site and was able to get the backstory on various architectural components throughout the city. Pretty cool.

Impressive Roman’s ruins. Will advice to take a guide as it will give you a better experience. Also it’s important to give you a good three hours to visit everything. The temples, library and theatres are impressive.

We visited the museum in 03/2024. We are guided through several large rooms with impressive multimedia projections. My wife went to the toilet in the café beforehand. In the museum, she realized that she had forgotten her cell phone in the toilet. The staff noticed us and asked if we had a problem. We were directed out via an emergency exit and got our cell phones back from the staff in the cafe. And we were allowed to start the tour of the museum again. And the best thing was that all the staff asked us if we had our cell phone back and were happy for us. Conclusion: a great museum, impressive multimedia experience and super nice staff.

The Ephesus site is exciting but it isn't complete without a visit to the museum to see all the artifacts and statuary. You'll also get more onsite just from the exhibit signs that you can get on your own visiting the city. You can also take your time without getting railroaded through by your tour guides.

Fantastic place. I went to Efes ancient city earlier in the morning and visited the museum in the afternoon and I highly recommend this sequence since you will have an overview in the ancient city then learn more details in the museum.

There is otopark, restaurants, shops next to the museum.

Ticket is 100TL for each.

This has long been a bucket list thing on my places to see. It did not disappoint. My only problem was too little time. I could have spent days here just soaking in the centuries of history that took place here. Be sure to give it at least a full unhurried day if you trek over to this grand treasure. It's a sublime example of archeological restoration.

This museum is beautifully done. The presentation of the iconic antiquities is excellent with the right amount of information. The large timeline is very helpful as well. Definitely worth the visit for an hour or so. And only costs 50 TL.

Amazing collection of carved stone statuary. Modern and well maintained. Free with entry ticket. Not much information about Aphrodisias itself

If you go to Turkey, i definitely recommend to go to Ephesus. One of the best ancient cities around the world. It can take couple of hours and it’s super hot in summer time. I suggest to have some water with you and wear a hat.

A wonderful museum. It isn't big (so those who are not into that kind of place will be happy), but it contains enough artefacts and informations to satisfy Antiquity nerds. You will find famous statues, but also more surprising and precious collections, from various times and civilizations. The museum is not crowded, and the artefacts are well presented so you can enjoy everything.
