One of the wonders of the world! Really worth to visit, especially having in mind the price of 130 tl (oct 2023) for seeing ruins of temples, church and forth during one visit. Don't hesitate to walk everywhere and discover more to find hidden jems, such as: vine/olive oil jars, holly paints, Islamic tombstone, water cistern, etc

One of the ancient wonders and it is very impressive to admire!!

I visited here once and I'd definitely recommend it! Plus there is a nearby museum to admire the history and culture associated with the ruins.

The sheer scale is amazing. (Great for photos too)

There are occasional wild cats that roam the area, do not feed them. Also be careful of scam artists, since this is a hotspot for tourists.

The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Turkey, lies in ruins. But the site, which was one of the most important Greek cities in Asia Minor, deserves its place on this list. Be sure to take the time to admire the Library of Celsus, whose majestic columns have stood the test of time.

Much of the site is below the ground in order to preserve the remains. The information boards on site are well done. Only a few standing relics are visible. We'll worth a visit.

Hopefully your tour guide can help you see how these structures looked a thousand years ago. Ours (Sammy), was great at helping us see these ruin for what they are. Priceless treasures, apparently most have yet to be unearthed.

Artemis Temple You and only one pillar remain.
Only the pillars remain, so I don't feel the scale or grandeur of the time, but since 127 pillars were used, I was able to roughly guess the size. At a nearby museum, you can see a replica restored in miniature size.

The Temple of Artemis was a Greek temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Only foundations and fragments of the temple left.

Beautiful ruins of the temple of Artemis. A world heritage site. No tickets. 15-30 mins of time needed to see the place. If you are into Greek mythology then this is a must see place!

This park/museum is a very large complex with multiple structures, it requires at least 5 hours to see everything at a normal pace. The complex is magnificent showcasing beautiful art and structures from the periods as well as the remains of the Church of Virgin Mary. Very well worth trip. You should go!

An amazing place. The Temple of Artemis or Artemision, also known as the Temple of Diana, was a Greek temple dedicated to an ancient, local form of the goddess Artemis. It was located in Ephesus. By 401 AD it had been ruined or destroyed. Only foundations and fragments of the last temple remain at the site.

Went on a tour here as part of the Ephesus excursions in Kusadasi.

Very informative, great history and interesting to learn about and see what it once looked like.

A lot of sellers here targeting tourists, just say no and keep walking, you'll be grand.

People down rating it because there's not much left.
It is only a little bit old, you'll have to forgive aging and time for doing their job.
Can definitely appreciate that once the temple of Artemis stood here, one if the 7 ancient wonders of the world.
You can feel the presence.

I loved seeing this place. Especially with a guide who could give some of the history. This was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

This place was free and very quiet. No crowds and relatively few vendors.

This is close to the other local attractions and a quick stop off is easy here. Large car park and walkable distance to the far caste in the background. Recommend seeing this before you go to Ephesus.

Absolutely should visit. The area is really big. Most of the buildings remain in good state. Would recommend. For Turkish people buy museum card before goin or else you have to pay 400₺ instead of 60₺ 👍

If you are coming to visit Ephesus, you should certainly drive over and see the temple of Artemis. It is not as well maintained as Ephesus, but it is free.

This is supposed to be the one of the seven wonder of the ancient world. I know some people are complaining about not being developed or preserved like Ephesus, but I like the rustic charm of this place. worth stopping for few mins on your way back from Ephesus to town.

Amazing place to visit! Not alot of shady areas for when the sun is up so make sure plenty of sunscreen is on. So much to see and explore. We did full day tour rather than half day and also got to see Mary's house.
