If you come through the lower gate this is the first main building you will come across right at the start. It's reasonably small but in a pretty good condition.

Historically and Biblically a must visit place! It's fascinating and fantastic walking around what is a living museum site.. scenery is nice and tour guide full of useful information. Highly recommend a visit to this place. Involved a lot of walking and in the blazing sun, need lots of water and a hat.

You must see this place...period. Make time, don’t mind the sea of people that you have to swim through... one of a kind.

It is very important to get there as early as possible to avoid rapidly increasing bus loads of tourists. One of the best historic archeological sites we have visited.

Amazing ancient city, a must see. Don't forget to bring hat and water if you are visiting around the summer season since it takes hours to explore the city under the sun.

Ephesus Turkey... ancient historical site.... absolutely amazing...
Enter from the high side of site as sections are steep...take your own water and use bathroom before you go in..
Wear comfortable non slip shoes, marble steps are very slippery.

Odeon was a small roofed theatre was also called the Bouleuterion. Odeon was constructed by Vedius Antonius and his wife around 2. century AD. It had a capacity of 1500 people. It had double function in use. First it was used as a Bouleuterion for the meetings of the Boulea or the Senate.
The second function was the Odeum as a concert hall for the performances. Today most of the building is not original as it was restored by Archaeology Team in 1960s.
