Beach Bar Burgau

Great beach bar… if you want to call it a bar. The food makes for a wonderful dining experience. Take yourself down some small roads and walk a little to this gem.

Wonderful chilled afternoon. Octopus amazing. First margarita I've found and was a good one. Perfect to sit, read and natter and take in the sea

Superb, fresh food. The fish in particular is exquisite. This place, the food, service and atmosphere never fail.
A great spot for lunch, but my favourite for an early dinner to watch the sun sink low across a pink sky.

There's a sophisticated wine list to accompany the not over complicated food menu. There's a handful of staple dishes and a specials board which changes seasonally and daily due to the catch.

The restaurant is incredibly efficient and the staff are fabulous; warm, friendly and very hard working.

Definitely worth a visit even just for the view of Burgau beach.

Seeing that it was my Birthday I decided to have Lunch at the Beach Bar, Fish was what the Palette had decided I should have, and Wow, Wow Wow, we throughly enjoyed our meal, cooked to perfection, service was amazing, the Ladies had some cocktails which just complimented our experience. A visit to this establishment is very worthwhile. Thank you to everyone that made our Lunch date a very happy experience 😁🇵🇹🇵🇹👏

You wouldn’t think much of but when tasting the food you will get impressed. If you eat fish you MUST order the butterfly seabass. We got a big one that was perfect for 4 people. We paid 72euros for it with potato and salad sides. The staff is very nice and accommodating.

We had a lovely experience at Burgau Beach Bar 🌞 we sat by the balcony for a late lunch and accepted the suggestion for the Corvina dish with boiled potatoes and mango salad 🥗🐟 and the special ice cream dessert! Delicious food, great service and a beautiful view of an amazing beach! Thank you 🌊

20 years since I last came here on happy kiddy family hols and lots of personal water under the bridge since. How emotional to revisit and be received so generously by Marco and his family. It’s same/same/different - more chic perhaps. Food is glorious service impeccable and location out of this world. Wish we could have stayed for days and more.

Amazing , truly amazing and authentic feijoada! . And they can also make very nice Aperol spritz and serve very nice medronho (which can be difficult to find) You can feel the good vibe of the owners and the view of the beach , ocean cliffs is just stupendous!

Came to Burgau because of this place and we weren't disappointed, the inside is all wood with live Weeping Figs at one end, the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, the view is perfect, looking out on the sandy beach and crashing surf. The food was delicious with a really good selection of desserts, if you get the chance give it a go.

Had lunch here whilst on a campervan trip in Spain and Portugal. The meal was excellent and the views are incredible.

This bar is a gem. Unbelievable location overlooking the beach at Burgau with great food and spectacular desserts. There’s a walkway from the road by the wall if you don’t want to walk through the sand (although I’d recommend doing that!) and the terrace in the very back has better shade if the sun is still burning down when you get there.

I have frequented the Burgau Beach Bar for over 20 years. It is still run by the same family serving food to a very high standard. The prices are very reasonable but the ocean views are out of this world.

Fantastic place. Small beach, beds, good food and nice staff. Visited mid may 2023.

Can't fault the place. We had goats chesse salad and mussels. Great quality food. Very impressive.
