SALEMA ECO CAMP - SURF & NATURE

Nice campsite with a lot of facilities. Toilets and showers are very clean. A nice restaurant where we enjoyed some drinks and breakfast. The shop has many things to offer from food to clothing, very nice. We couldn't pick up our bread before 11:00 o'clock, which was a bit late for us. Great stay all together!

Rented a space for Car & Tent, for 2 People. (Paid 22€ for one night)

The camp is really nice, there's bathrooms, access to water and electricity roughly everywhere around the campsite.
The bar\restaurant has a good menu and good food. The staff at the reception was super welcoming and friendly.
Atmosphere at the campsite was really friendly and people were quite respectful and not too loud.

Note: camping lots aren't delimited so if you go in high season you might be a little crammed given that some groups might take up more space than necessary. We went in October so we didn't have this issue.

I can't speak to the rooms as we stayed in our own tent.

Overall, good experience, I would go again!

Such a fabulous find well away from the bigger well established towns but only a short walk to the jewel of all little beaches.
The facilities at the eco site were excellent and the staff in the office were incredibly helpful. The campsite and its nearby beach were by a long mile the best of our experiences in Portugal. Fully recommend it with hesitation

One of the best campsites we stayed at in Portugal. Friendly staff, nice playground and bar/restaurant for the adults right next to it. Live music in the weekend (at least when we were there). The campground is huge and offers very diverse sites for camping. Some nights we were at the lower level, and some nights we spend up on the hill. No matter where you are there are nice services.

Salema Camping is situated in a beautiful mountain area, from which you can enjoy breathtaking views. We were there with a tent and a car, and we could pick whatever spot and leave the car close to the tent - extremely convenient because the area is quite big and hilly. The employees were very kind and helpful. There is also a restaurant with a cute terrace and delicious beers. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and they have a good variety with many vegetarian options. Salema Beach is close and beautiful. You can reach it easily by car, but also by foot, but the road is kinda dangerous. The area around Salema is perfect for trails and enjoying beaches. We had a lot of fun and we highly recommend this camping. We will come back for sure!

Beautiful area ,very serene.Every staff member I encountered ,from the reception,restaurant,shop ,maintenance,cleaning were super friendly and polite, they made sure I felt welcomed ,and had everything I needed to make my stay a pleasant one .
Wednesdays food truck makes a delicious burger and the ladies are super nice too .

The only minus…the main zipper on my Domme tent was difficult to open and had a substantial hole on the mosquito net ,which I forgot to mention at reception, although ,I was unable to have the main “ door” opened it didn’t bother me ,but may bother someone else ,I’m sure if I had remembered they would have come to sort it out straight away .
Highly recommend this peace of Heaven and will be back for sure .

Awesome campground set in the nature with beautiful surroundings. Close to the beach. The bathroom and showers are some of the best I have ever seen in a campground. Friendly staff, definitely a place to spend multiple days.

Great place, they’ve truly thought of everything from tons of lodging options, nice work space, plenty of bathrooms/showers, laundry, WiFi, yoga and a great cafe. All along a lovely area full of flowering trees and shade. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were going to stay 2 nights but we ended up camping here in our van for 5 nights. We had a great time. Location is secluded enough to quiet and peaceful, yet close to Lagos and Sagres if needed with some nice beaches nearby. Campsite was shady, toilets and showers clean and spacious. Eco shop, restaurant and reception all great. Washing facilities, work area and places to charge devices. Yoga classes were a bonus. We highly recommend.

Reasonable Price for Camping with tent, clear sanitary, shuttle service to
the beach (you can‘t really walk because it‘s a bit far and the street has no side-walk), Yoga Lessons (not for free), Live Music (not for free), all in all a good alternative to stay in an amazing area. Plus Points: Shade. Best with a rental car.

We stayed at Salema in April 2023. It has great facilities whether you're camping or staying in a tipi / safari tent. The care and effort that is taken by staff to put everything together and run everything well is very clear - everywhere is extremely clean, but still very natural, it feels like everything - as well as guests - are really looked after. It is perfect distance from the beach, great restaurant, beautiful site that is quiet but still feels lively. The yoga was great - well done but also easy going and accessible.
Every time we popped into the reception the staff were absolutely lovely and really went out of there way to help.
Appreciate how hard all the staff are working to look after the guests, and the site and nature! Thank you!

loved this place....beautiful environment....many different options from camping to apartments..i stayed in a safari tent and loved it..the reataurant was awesome...the shop had great things....difinitely will be back...

I had a great time. Facilities are well appointed and every single staff person I interacted with was genuinely very kind. The live music on Saturday night was phenomenal and the restaurant was great and reasonably priced. I also stayed in tipi at the back of the property which was quiet and super comfortable.

We had a great stay at Salema. The facilities are great and clean bathrooms. Good co-working space with decent wifi, nice restaurant with natural playground attached, filtered water is nice. Good location

We loved our stay at Salema Eco Camp! The facilities were plentiful, clean and attractive, the restaurant was superb, the market had lots to offer, and the live music area was great. Very helpful staff and a very reasonable price to camp. Highly recommend this place!

we parked here in our T4, lots of space for parking up, some shade. Excellent staff, it has a bar with some live music nights, would recommend! there's a great shuttle bus running to La Salema beach three times a day :)

lovely place, booked a safari tent which was perfect for me. amazing yoga nearly everyday with such a nice teacher. the camping is clean and cozy and in nature. very beautiful. and i also love their concept🙏🏼🌱🌞

Was here camping cooking facilities aren't available for camping unless you stay in one of there tents. Which is a shame because many other campsites provide cooking facilities otherwise a very good place.

A beautiful and peaceful campsite with great (non-outlined and free to choose) pitches. The shop is nice, the restaurant has great toasts (which made me regret not to have eaten dinner there) and the staff is really friendly. So are the guests. This makes for a really laid back atmosphere. Prices are fair, we paid 36€ per night for our 4x4 with rooftop tent, a tent for our son, 3 humans and 2 dogs.

Notable but not affecting my rating: the campsite is MUCH bigger than one would expect and it is located on very undulating terrain, so choose your pitch wisely if you dislike walking long distances (and uphill).

If we return to the area, we will come back and stay here again.

If you’re looking to find your own inner calm, this is the place to be. The campsite is quite big so you will always find a place to stay, however it’s best to come earlier to find places which are closer to washing facilities (which are very clean btw). The experience kind of resembles a festival happening in the woods. On weekends there were live concerts, clown shows and yoga in the morning (if your traveling with kids, they’re even doing kids yoga!). We stayed for 2 nights but the experience was so great that maybe next time I will stay for 2 months instead! :-)
