A lovely, on the beach, restaurant in Salema, Algarve. As a single traveller I appreciated their friendly welcome and a table when the restaurant was obviously very popular.
I enjoyed salads, pasta and traditional fish recipes here on 2 occasions and would definitely go back!

We got a table (booked for 9:15 pm), right by the sea. You get to feel and hear the sea breeze. Which just adds to the whole restaurant on the beach feeling/experience. Great spot if you have kids as they can run on to the beach or play in the sand as you eat and watch them. We ate the tuna with sautéed potatoes, the shrimp (which they peel for you), with rice, mozzarella with tomatoes (as a starter). We got beer on tap and a glass of house white wine. To finish, we shared mousse au chocolat (it was divine). The service was great, and we recommend you try this place out if you are in Salema.

Amazing location, friendly staff with excellent service, and the food is to die for! Wish they would have more vegetarian 🌱 options , our saladas and pasta dishes were so delicious 😋

Staying Luz we ventured over to Salema for a beach day. After a thoroughly enjoyable day we walked to A Boia for our second dinner of our Portuguese experience. The Tuna special was fantastic. The squid awesome as well. I never dared to have squid, but the garlic sauce and the grilling were perfect. My daughter got the ribs of all things, but wow, were they ever good!

A great find in the sleepy seaside town of Selema Portugal. The staff was amazing, spoke great English and did not laugh at my sorry attempts at Portuguese. I had the mussels as the starter and the fish stew with shrimp. Both were some of the best meals I have had. The flavors were deep and rich and worth savoring as we gazed out over the beach and ocean.

Wife and I decided to have Sunday lunch at Boia in Salema. We were fortunate enough to get a table for two, I suppose because it was 12:30, as there were many bookings. So please be advised to make a booking to avoid disappointment.

Lovely decor and well positioned, as you basically on the beach with beautiful view of Salema’s wonderful beach.

A lovely display of Fresh Fish, which I would say is most probably what you would want to order at this restaurant. We both decided on the Grilled Sardines, well that’s actually what we were wanting for lunch. The food was delicious well served and looking at the plates going out every dish looked just so amazing.

Well recommended service was outstanding that is particularly for me when it comes to an empty plate in front of me, manager or owner overseeing everything.

Thank you for a pleasant lunch we will be back again.

We had the tuna steak, shrimps & rice and fish-shrimp-rice stew. They were all excellent. For desserts, we had the almond cake, pastel de bats, crème brûlée and wild berry cheesecake. They were outstanding. The service is friendly and professional. The view on the ocean is amazing. The prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

A fabulous bar / restaurant, overlooking the beach and the sea. Charming, engaging, and amusing staff - and the spaghetti and clams was almost the perfect meal - its only failure? Not enough of it, as I could have eaten two plates!

Great decor, awesome view of the rumbling Atlantic. Food was spot on. I had the swordfish with prawns, and my mother had the grilled sardines.
