Azores Adventure Islands

My husband and I did a kayaking ocean tour with our guide Z. We had a great time, despite some uncertainty in the weather our guide made sure to find the best spot for us to kayak. He was prompt, well organized, helpful and keen to to share information on the islands. Would definitely recommend tours from this company.

We did the 3h (half day) fun canyoning tour with Carlos and João and would highly recommend it!
They were both really professional while jumping and rappeling but hilarious in between. We had a lot of fun in our small group of 3 people, Carlos smile is contagious. We directly thought of booking another tour with them.

The pictures were also amazing. You could mistake João for a professional wildlife photographer 🤓

We took the 3 hour e-bike tour around the Furnas area. The 3 hours zoomed by quickly with all of the beautiful sights to see and delicious cheese to eat. I hate that I forget our guides name and can't give him a shout-out, but he was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. He took many pictures and even a video during our tour and shared it with us afterwards. I highly recommend it to others!

My husband and I had SO much fun on the 6 hour canyoning trip!!! It was the perfect amount of challenge for us! Carlos and Ze were absolutely incredible guides. We felt safe the entire time and they did such a great job preparing us for each feature, taking awesome photos, and making us feel like pros! I would recommend this company to anyone visiting the Azores as the communication was great from the first email. It was worth the money 100%. We will absolutely do it again if we ever get the chance to come back! Will add more photos once they email the 200+ they took!

Professional, safety focused, well organized.

Went on a half day E-Bike tour and full day canyoning.

The team is really well organized. All the gear is in great shape, guides are professional and we'll qualified. There is a really good focus in safety. Groups are kept really small so the experience is very intimate.

The E-Bike tour with Tiago (one of the owners) was amazing. He was super flexible and catered the tour to our ability levels and we were able to get out on some single track down hill.

I highly recommend a full day for canyoning, as you go to less visited areas in the afternoon that had jaw-dropping views.

Everyone seems to have secondary education, and gave great insight into the history and ecology of the area as well!

I highly recommend Azores Asventure Islands for any guided trips. Amazing!!!

Excellent canyoning experience at Ribeira de Salga with guides Rodrigo and Inês. The price is very fair, 85€ for a half-day tour, all equipment included. Totally recommended!
The company is specialized in canyoning so there are a lot of canyons to choose from, so we are spoiled for choice.

Very easy, helpful and quick booking via email before we arrived in São Miguel. Even when we needed to postpone the tour due to very rough whale watching trip with another company, they were very understanding and flexible to rebook, so that we can have the best experience. Really appreciate it!

Even when there were just the two of us, they still ran the tour, so we felt very luxurious like a private tour. The guides are professional, friendly, helpful and assuring. They took good care of us, offering help on challenging steps. The photos and videos they provided are great, too!

We loved our canyoning experience at Ribeira Grande. The guides were patient and kind, taking a lot of time to explain the process and making the entire group feel comfortable and knowledgeable. Not only were the features (jumps, rapelling, slides) a lot of fun, but there were also lots of 'extras' as well - from overviews of the local flora and fauna, as well as a series of super photos that were taken on the day. Many thanks, and we look forward to returning!

Wow, wow, wow, we don't know how to describe this magical experience. 5 stars are not enough! We decided to go on the Adventure Canyoning tour at short notice and there were actually no places left. We wrote back and forth and were actually able to do the tour the very next day! Many thanks for the effort! The tour was absolutely amazing! We were actually alone with the two great guides and had so much fun. The guides were very friendly and funny and we laughed a lot. They were always attentive to our needs and just made the experience unique. We can only recommend this tour and Azores Adventure Island. It is rare to have such a friendly and caring approach. Thank you for everything, we are still incredibly happy!

A trip to always remember. I am so in love with this place. Breathtakingly stunning views lovely people good food, I seriously recommend a trip to Azores.

We took a guided hiking tour in Sete Cidades with Rodrigo and it was an amazing experience. He was knowledgable about the area and made the experience fun and memorable. The hike was adapted to our skill level and preference.

I can't say enough good things about our tour experience. Ze and Carlos made the tour fun and engaging. My friends and I had never canyoned before, and none of us felt pressured or overwhelmed at any point. The guides were very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna which was an added bonus. I did not expect to learn so much about the Azores on a canyoning trip.
We booked our tour the night before, and when I got my confirmation email I noticed that I booked the tour for the wrong day. I contacted the agency immediately, and they contacted me the next morning. They were able to fit us in without any issue. They gave us a WhatsApp number to contact them, and they responded almost immediately with any questions we had.
We did the half day, beginner tour. After getting over the fear of the initial repel/waterfall jump, the rest of the experience wasn't too intimidating. If you have prior experience with canyoning or something similar, I would suggest doing the longer, more difficult tour they offer. For us, with no prior experience, it was a perfect introduction into canyoning.

We made the Canyoning Adventure half day tour with Ines and Joao. It was a lot of fun.
On their web page it says that the difficulty is medium but Canyoning Adventure is great for beginners as well. In our group 4 out of 5 were first timer. Canyoning Experience (the easier one) is more for families with smaller kids.

We went kayakking with Rodrigo and it was an amazing experience. Breathtaking and stunning views + a guide who could tell a lot of fun stories about the places we passed. 100% recommend

Very friendly and helpful with good gear for rental and different guided tours.
When you like mountainbiking I recommend to get the emtb, even when they are quite expensive.

We booked the full day canyoning tour with Azores Adventure Islands and it was AMAZING! The landscape was stunning and the guides did everything to make this one of the best activities during our stay. They really knew what they were doing and it was easy to feel safe in every minute. The passion and the enthusiasm of these guys got the whole group going! They told us interesting things about the island and the canyon. The guides were funny, friendly, helpful and very polite - the after-tour-chat about bikes and India was hard to leave but we had further plans. Thank you for this unforgettable event! we highly recommend Azores Adventure Islands.

What an amazing experience with Ines and João canyoning today with our 7 and 8 year old. Zip lining, jumping, sliding, repelling - amazing! We’ve had the best afternoon with them and it was really made by Ines and João’s enthusiasm and knowledge. Thank you so so much!

Amazing experience going canyoning. If you want to experience nature in a whole another level, this is a must activity. Andre and Emanuel are great guides, very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating... very safety orientated as well. I most definitely look forward to joining them on their adventures again.
