Best steak we’ve had in the Azores. It comes with hand cut fries which were light and delicious. The steak was so juicy and I had a side of rice which was a perfect combo. Their limpets were also delicious and the octopus salad was perfect. Had a local vibe and definitely gets super busy.

I went to another "famous" steak place, and this was so much better and had much better food. The steak , sauce, fries and everything I had were absolutely amazing, the restaurant was very busy and I was by myself so I sat at the bar but they were turning groups of people away in January on a Tuesday so I feel like you should make a reservation here.

Skip the overpriced nonsense and COME HERE!!! Delicious and affordable! My friend and I were here on vacation and our guide recommended this place for dinner if we wanted to experience true Azorian food. THE BEST STEAK!!! Holy smokes it was so tender & juicy! The fries and garlic bread were also wonderful! We were full but couldn’t resist the pineapple cake.. YUM!! It is wonderful so save room, homemade goodness! Everything here was locally sourced and made with love. The staff here are very friendly and spoke English. It is a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Definitely suitable for low key dinner, groups, and families. You gotta eat here!! It’s a great price for an outstanding meal!

Probably one of the best 🥩 steak we tried in Azores, a bit far from city center (to walk) but totally worth it!

The steak melts in your mouth and french fries are as tasty as the steak.

And ofc, we cannot forget the staff that were super friendly and eager to help and provide suggestions for our amazing experience.

Amazing place, you have to try this if you visit the Azores.

We’ve been super lucky to get a table. Make sure to book a table in advance if you don’t fancy rolling the dice. Food was great. Lots of garlic and high quality fish and meat. The homemade chocolate tarte is must-do.

The beef is perfect! They covered the steak with french fries, which is nice, as the portion is huge. However, it took the attention from the main character! :)
The place is nice and looks like a familiar restaurant, even though it's widely famous, it seems they wanted to keep the style of a traditional restaurant, which is a good thing.
The beef is amazing! I'll miss the possibility of going here every week.

Really great beef and pork. They cook a mean garlic sauce in their regional style dishes. The waiters are very friendly and some of them speak English very well. You should make a reservation ahead of coming here, because it's very popular.

Also try the blood sausage with regional pineapple - it's really good!

I do not recommend the soup. It was a bit bland.

Literally the best beef steak we've ever had. Food was gorgeous overall, but the steak takes the crown. I've never had and probably will never have a better steak again. Make sure you book a table in advance.

Amazing would definitely come back. I had the regional loin sooo good!!! My girlfriend had the mushroom steak which was also fantastic. The beef was perfectly cooked and super tender. The tinto sangria should not be missed. Fresh fruit and delicious wine. This is a local place so you'll need to speak some Portuguese and you should reserve in advance.

Fair warning: if you don’t like garlic, this is not your place.
Great stake, very nicely marinated and garlic is everywhere with huge chunks of it inside the plate which I personally enjoyed. Great local place to eat.

Steaks and lapas. Steaks and lapas. Steaks and lapas. If you want steaks and lapas in Ponta Delgada, this is the place.

Went there twice. Tried a couple of different appetizers- very tasty. The steak was perfect. Half of the portion is just enough for one person. Busy place - make reservation. Decent prices.

Everything was perfect. This is known among locals as the best place to eat meat on the island. By unanimous vote. And I agree it is amazing. You must reserve the day before.

Arguably one of the best steaks I’ve had in my life. We tried both the sirloin steak and the loin steak—both were delicious and it was hard to choose which was a better cut. The regional style they do is different but the sauce is delectable and you will dream about it for days to come. We also got the S. Jorge cheese which we enjoyed more than the furnas style cheese found elsewhere on the island.

If you can make a reservation ahead of time, we do advise this. We showed up right when they opened for dinner and gladly accepted the table in the front area so we could eat that evening with them. It’s a gamble if that table will be available as a walk in. It sounded like they had all of their dining area tables reserved for the evening.

Don’t miss eating here if you can!!!! Paulo was the best!!!

Be advised: you may need a reservation even in the low season. We came right at the evening opening hour and were told that all tables are booked for that night but... it was of no problem :) One table was still free for one and a half hour and it turned out to be more that we needed because the service was really fast (maybe because we ordered only steaks and wine but then we had plenty of time for the dessert).

The steaks were just perfect! The "Bife de Lombo" was a top notch and "Bife Vazia" followed closely. We went there to top our São Miguel visit with a good steak and we definitely got one!
