Let’s Go Mexican Food

My wife and I came here for a casual dinner during our honeymoon. Chris (the owner) immediately welcomed us with a big smile and sat us promptly!

The food was fresh, simple, and well executed. Chris served us personally and his service was exceptional. We ended up chatting for about 15 minutes after we finished our meal, as he spoke perfect English and was a joy to converse with. Truly one of the favourite people we ended up meeting on our trip!

Based on the service and hospitality alone, I would recommend this place. If you love fresh, simple Mexican food, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing Mexican food, the best we have eaten so far. Everything is made locally in their kitchen, right from the corn flour based tortillas to the hot and yummy salsa. The owner is super nice and the prices are very reasonable. The food quantity is perfect. Must try this place if you are in Sao Miguel.

The food is really good! Employees are really nice and will go beyond to meet client expectations. The pricing is right. Food quantity and quality are what you expect from a traditional Mexican restaurant. Regarding the drinks, they specialize in margaritas, but we took wine, and they matched us the perfect wine for our meals! We will definitely go again.

100% Mexican restaurant.
They have variety in the menu. They speak Portuguese, Spanish and English. If you want the spicy dish you have to ask for it because it is adapted for us, without so much spice. My partner and I went on Tuesday night and we were lucky to park nearby. Although they were understaffed that day, I applaud the waiter who went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly with all the tables. The food was exquisite, there was nothing left over on the plate but the drinks were very small. I would definitely return on my next trip to the Azores.

We ordered a starter, superquesadilla and taco plate. We were full and happy because it wasn't expensive, 13€ each with drinks.

Absolutely wonderful!
If you are looking for authentic Mexican, look no further. We love Mexican food but it is very difficult to find restaurants that are making everything from scratch with authentic flavours. We have been traveling with our kids for 3 weeks and I have never seen them eat so much. Additionally, Chris (one of the owners) was so friendly - we loved it so much we are going back again before returning home!

The food was amazing and we ate ourselves full while enjoying ourselves with margaritas and coronaritas, absolutely worth a visit for an evening dinner if you looking for a warm and delightful service in the city.

The most wonderful homemade Mexican food such a gem in Faja de Baixo! The service was so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. All dishes can be made vegetarian which is a great accomodation to see. Portion sizes were very good for the price and the meal was very satisfying. A must visit if you are in the area. We are going back again tomorrow! Thank you to the staff there for a great night :)

Such a great experience, extremely friendly and warm family run business, we visited with a young child and were made to feel welcome immediately. The food was delicious, everything is freshly made and you can taste it! It may take a little while to receive the mains because of the fact that quality food takes time to prepare fresh.. Incredible value for money.

Really good food and good service. De nacho dips are amazing! We had the burrito (really good). Really good experience, ate here twice during our stay :) the sangria is really good too 🤩 portions are really big!!

This restaurant is an absolute gem. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the owner who is a hard working person. The food was spot on, just fantastic. The ambiance was great also, beautiful place.

Great little place with all house made items. The homemade chips are addicting! Gluten free considerations. The owner was very friendly. Food is all made in house so go prepared to relax and spend some time here. Reservations are helpful. We will come here again!

Exceptionally friendly staff and delicious Mexican food, unexpected for the Azores! The homemade puffy tortilla chips are incredible, and the chicken burrito (spicy style) was amazing.

Good food and good service! You might pass by the place accidentally on the outside because its on a corner but do go in! The owner is really friendly! He advised us how much to order and the specialties. Try the nachos with 3 dips, so good!! If you like spicy, like, really spicy but good spicy, take the taco's a la diabla! For drinks, I recommend the cocktails margarita and the Coronarita.
The mango dessert is super creamy and lovely after the spicy food!
If you are vegetarian, there is one option of the mains. There are more appetizers that are suitable.
Overall, nice experience, would recommend this to friends and family too!

Hidden gem in our area! Fantastic dinner, and the homemade preparation really shows 🤤 highly recommend anything that comes with the homemade nachos (the three dips and burrito both did). Yum!

One of the best Mexican meals. I would recommend tasting something different than Portuguese plates.
