The best thing to happen to us on our recent trip to the Azores Islands and Portugal is the Azores Getaways. To sum it up, we found them to be extremely professional.It was an amazing experience to take this tour with Azores getaway. The level of help, support, professionalism were wonderful throughout the journey. Response times to all our requests were immediate. The itinerary provided was so wonderful . We got too see so many places because of the well designed itinerary. The hotel room in Lisbon was the only drawback. We would have preferred a river facing view. The only setback was the Taxi service. Not once but twice we were let down by them. And on our trip back from Lisbon to the airport the taxi arrived ten minutes late and then the car developed a malfunction. We had to wait 30 minutes before another car replaced it. They seriously need to change the taxi service. Other than this minor blip it was heaven. Thank you one and all at Azores Getaway. We are in love with the Azores getaway staff. Thank you for making our trip so memorable. And we realised that we had got a good discount at every stop we made.

Azores Getaways makes it easy to plan a trip and go. They take care of all the research, such as hotels, rental car companies, etc., so you have vetted choices to customize your trip as you'd like. We just took our second trip with them and it was flawless!

I used Azores Getaways to plan a 3-week vacation. They did a great job coordinating 7 flights and 4 different stops with great accommodations! Much better price for flights and lodging with breakfast than I could get on my own. Therefore we enjoyed a wonderful vacation ~ Thanks!

If you want easy hassle free travel. We have traveled numerous times with Azores Getaways and have not been disappointed. The Azores can be visited any time of year if you are adventurous.

This was one of the best vacations we have had!!! The island was beautiful, food was amazing, people were so kind and friendly!!!!! Our hotel was great,
the staff was awesomely helpful. Everything was so reasonably priced !!We WILL be back this spring !! We'd love to retire here :) Best kept secret !!! Our excursions were very fun and our guide was amazing! Even with a very raining windy day we had a blast and went back to the area on a sunny day to get the whole view. HIGHLY recommend Azores Getaways !!

What an amazing holiday we had using Azores Getaways. Everything worked smoothly and the quality of the hotels was excellent. Someone was always just a call away if needed. Can’t rate this enough for a smooth sailing holiday in the Adores. So much so we are using them again next year.

What an extraordinary place. We stayed in Furnas Boutique Hotel which was a terrific experience knowing that after a day of hiking, biking, rappelling, snorkeling, sightseeing - we could always rely on time in the spa before a great dinner. We're outdoors types and assumed we'd island hop during our week there, but Sao Miguel kept us busy. Such exceptional people, food and courtesy. Our last-day rainbow was the finale.

I would not hesitate to book another trip with the fine folks at Azores Getaways (Obrigado, Priscila!). We book a vacation package to Sao Miguel with a stopover in Lisbon for May 2022. Unfortunately family circumstances prevented us from going so we had to cancel. We were credited hotel/flights and helped to rebook at the last minute in September. We did have to pay a rebooking fee with the airline, but thankfully that was covered by travel insurance we purchased along with the package. All along, the folks at AG were friendly, accommodating, understanding and very helpful and professional. Our reservations were seamless and included nonstop roundtrip flights from Newark and a very well-located hotel (with parking) in Ponta Delgada. I would gladly recommend Azores Getaways to anyone and hope to book again with them some time again in the near future! Obrigado!

Our trip was flawless with Azores Getaways. They were always quick to respond. They offered an itinerary or let you plan your own days. The Terceira bus tour was wonderful and very informative. Marina was a great guide. Included in the tour was a great restaurant that we would have never found on our own. Antonio was also a great bus driver. If you take the tour, you will agree. He safely made it through a cattle jam and through a tunnel with less than a foot of clearance. Great trip, wonderful people and very relaxing.

I normally book each part of my vacation (flight, accommodations, car) myself but came across Azores Getaways (on Travelzoo) and decided to give it a shot.
The website is easy to navigate through to customize the type and price of the vacation you're looking for in the Azores.
I just got back from my trip to Sao Miguel, a 2-year delayed vacation due to Covid. I was given a travel credit and during that time, changed the island itinerary. They made an error in the calculation of the remaining balance owing but when I let them know, they apologized and quickly rectified the mistake.
Whenever I had questions, they were answered within 24 hours. And they kept me updated on any changes, even when it was a 10 min difference in flight time, as well as Covid updates for Azores and our own country's Covid rules. When I priced each item separately, it was more expensive.
Now that I'm back I thought it was the perfect time to write a review. Everything, I mean everything, went smoothly. I strongly recommend Azores Getaways!

We booked a 8 night vacation to Portugal through Azores Getaway and had an amazing time. The package included flights, car rental and hotels. We stayed 2 nights in Evora, 4 nights in The Algarve and 2 nights in Lisbon. Everything either met or exceeded our expectations. This was a great value and an amazing experience.
The booking process was very easy, the instructions were very clear. I loved the opportunity to upgrade our hotels from the ones offered in the package at very reasonable prices and the variety of activities / outings offered (at additional cost) were great and reasonably priced. You can book these activities before you leave or wait until you arrive.
Our hotels were first class, especially the one in Evora. The car was small but just what we needed for getting around the narrow streets and was great on the highway. Picking it up / dropping it off was easy. Flights were comfortable, cabin service / food were good.

Great experience despite not actually taking our trip. We booked a flight and hotel in Portugal through Azores Getaways, but had to abandon the trip last minute due to a death in the family. Despite not having travel insurance, Azores Getaways went out of their way to help us get a refund. We wound up with 80% of our money back with minimal hassle. It was definitely appreciated and we hope to book again soon!

Everything about the trip was fantastic. Visiting from a cold climate, we found the weather perfect although the locals seemed to think it was cold. Sunny and upper 60s during the day in January seemed like paradise compared to -2 below at home.

We did not want the standard package offered so we could split time between two places and upgrade the hotels. The person at Azores Getaways was happy to accommodate our requests.

People are very friendly. Lots of great architecture and natural sights to fill your time or just relax.

The price was so low I was a bit nervous but the whole trip was fantastic. The flights were nice with good food (for an airline) and free wine. The hotel was directly in the city center with excellent views and the included breakfast was a large spread. The beds were hard and it's difficult to get vegetables to eat at restaurants, but Terceira is unbelievably beautiful and charming. Well worth it.

We had an awesome trip to Sao Miguel in September 2019. The flight from Boston was relatively short, getting trough the airport and customs was easy and our ride to town was waiting for us in the Arrival area. Getting there early in the morning afford you all day to explore the immediate area around our hotel and waterfront. Hotel Gaivota was perfect. Recently refurbished, the hotel is modern and very clean with a large comfortable lobby. Our room was small by American standards but perfectly comfortable with large closet, dresser, side chair, TV, refrigerator and a big bathroom with tub/shower. The included breakfast offered many choices and was far better than most American hotel breakfasts. But the most compelling reason to stay here is the staff who were friendly, helpful, courteous, efficient and made our stay most enjoyable.
The island is enchanting with green rolling hills, dotted with hydrangea hedges and ancient lava rock walls. Scenery is everywhere you look. A visit to one of the many thermal spas is a must. Highly recommend a jeep tour since they go to areas van and bus tours can't go. We're definitely going back!

We have always been hesitant using a travel agency because we didn’t know where we would end up as far as hotels and flights were concerned. However we wanted to visit multiple places in Portugal and knew it would be hard to coordinate so we researched and found azores getaways has the best reviews. We were very satisfied with everything they set up. Flight times and days were good, hotels and locations of hotels were good, and rental cars were all good and very reliable companies. The only issues we had were with the airline, SATA, but that cannot be helped due to that's the airline you have to use. SATA is pretty much always late for departure and arrival, they have terrible food and don’t assign seats between islands so you have to stand in line and hope you can sit with your party. Nothing the travel agency could do about that. The hotel in PONTE Delgada was good, clean and convenient but I wish I would have opted for the upgrade for that place. Pico and Terceira hotels were absolutely perfect as is and with location. Overall very happy with the service azores getaways provided and would definitely recommend to others.

Azores Getaways was GREAT. They are professional, helpful, timely, and have great packages...something for everyone and every budget. Our trip was inexpensive compared to other places we have traveled. I typically make my own itinerary and book my own trips...but this time decided to let someone else do it. I am SOOOO glad I did. It was perfect and they handled everything. The Azores are absolutely stunningly beautiful and fun. The people are extremely friendly and helpful and most can speak some English which was very helpful. Try Azores Getaways for a trip to the Azores...you will be very happy that you did!

We went to Terceira in March 2019 and it was absolutely amazing! We booked through Azores Getaways and everything went perfectly smooth, from the plane tickets to the amazing hotel and the rental car (but be prepared to put down a pretty big payment on the car for "insurance, but you'll be refunded when you bring the car back). The island is stunning and full of rich history. I would definitely recommend, and will most certainly go again.
