Nice park to enjoy nature and have lunch at. If you want to see the waterfall, it’s a challenging 632 steep steps or 32 min trek instead of a 10 min walk like the entrance sign suggested. It’s a 10 min walk to the waterfall steps. Not for the faint of heart. It also costs about 10 euros for non residents to enter.

Fantastic park! It is very well equipped for walkers, and the scenery is marvellously changing every five minutes! It's really worth the 10 euros! You won't regret it.

Incredible trek through thick forest and beautiful green nature. Lot of steps to go all the way up to the biggest waterfalls but definitely worth it. You have several smaller waterfalls and viewpoints. At the end there is a man built jazzuci out of food but it was out of operations when we were there. Totally worth it.

Forget about the hot springs at the lake, if you are in for a short hike this is definetly the place to see. A mavelous park with animals, farns, desserted villas (great photo spot), waterfalls and lots of rain-forrest-like plants. For me one of the best spots on the whole island. Definitely worth the 7€ entrance fee (2023).

A real hidden gem for those who are visiting Furnas.
For €10 per person you get access to a private trail to four waterfalls, two of which were absolutely breathtaking, a stunning jungle trek and even a surprise geothermal hot tub.
Even at peak time the park was empty enough to have a private swim in the Waterfall lakes, compared to the larger crowds at some other tourist locations
Just be prepared for quite a hike to get to them!

Very nice park, now it costs 10 euro but it is worth it, there was a huge investment to make it accessible for all people with well constructed stair. It is about 300 stairs to reach the top waterfall, I assume during the rainy season it is much nicer with more water, in any event there are additional pools and smaller waterfalls all very nice. All in all you can hike multiple paths and do anywhere from a few km to 10 or so kms.

A beautiful place at Furnas, the park was nearly empty at our visit and we could spent a long time near by the waterfall - just the two of us ☺ there is also a possibility to take a break in the hot water. Afterwards we did a walk around the lake which was really beautiful ☀

This place surpassed my expectations. I initially thought Grená was just a quick waterfall hike. But I spent around two hours on the trail, maybe more, just exploring. Everything looked like a picture perfect postcard. The trees, the waterfall, and the view of Lagoa das Furnas. It also wasn't that crowded...I did the peddle boats after the Grená hike with the same people who manage the Grená trail.

Very nice park with a beautiful waterfall. You will not find a longer waterfall in the Azores. Access to the view of the Poço da Ingleda waterfall is slightly difficult. It is necessary to step on the stairs, of which there are 630 at an altitude of 415 m. There are also nice views of Lake Furnas and some relaxation areas. Admission is 7 € (18. 4. 2021)

3€ parking + 10€ entrance to the park... But it's really worth it!! Breathtaking nature, incredible beautiful paths, wonderful lookouts, waterfalls you can even jump in, a unique accessable "lost place" (grena house)... I think there was even a hot tub (had no swimwear with me). And after hiking these endless lush trails we enjoyed the lakeview at the fancy bar in the woods.

We have been to furnas for several years now and what you created with "grena park" in 2019 is incredible. I am so happy, that we visited this place and will come back.

To all those hesitating due to the fee: please support this park, this was an incredible effort and the paths perfectly fit the area!

This is a hidden and underappreciated GEM! Don't let the cheapskate reviews mentioning price/expensive put you astray. This is a private park and it's in a fantastic and well maintained state, that deserves much more credit than it gets. First, you pay entrance to the parking area of the furnas caldera (to see the hotpots that are taken from the ground). Show this receipt upon entrance of the park, so this amount is deducted from the fee.

The park has one of the highest (or the highest) waterfall of the island for which you climb 400 steps. Also, there is a high viewpoint and a beautiful ruin of a mansion. Awesome nature and an amazing hike.

The Parque da Grená, in Furnas area, offers so many exciting sightseeing choices, such as hot springs, small waterfalls, exotic nature, the sweet corn cooking pits (the corn on a cob is priced €1.20) and much more. When observing the hot geysers, stop for a moment and make sure to listen to the rumbling sounds coming from beneath the ground.

The park is beautiful and I must say a good workout also. Beautiful views and cascades. However, is close to the Caldeiras da Lagoa das Furnas where you need to pay 3€ per person, which is ridiculous and can put people off visiting this amazing place which charges 10€ per person

Even though we didn't have the best weather, this park was amazing!
You can get lost on one of the many trails and just enjoy the scenery. There is just so many live for details.
Also theres a nice little bar.

Very nice and beautiful park with good hiking possibilities for beginners and advanced hikers. We loved the wooden steps and all the well designed details. Also the included bike tour is a nice offer. We'll be back! ;)

Amazing local private park. 10 euro entrance and we’ll worth it. Thoughtfully laid out trails, sitting benches to listen to the forest, amazing waterfalls with excellent access to the water. The park is worth 2 hours of slow hiking trips along in all the surrounding. TIP: Elevation and steep parts but we’ll landscaped.
