It was a delicious fresh tuna, cooked rare.
Good to know: the only fresh fish on the menu are the tuna and the fried mackerel - local specialty, and it’s fair that they tell you this. This doesn’t make the other fish choices any less good, but consider this depending on what you are after. I also tried grilled squid as a starter and it was amazing.
On the plus side, focusing on offering 2 fresh fish makes it more likely to guarantee they are always good.
Note that the fish starters and fish main dishes have almost the same amount of fish, just serving it as a main dish comes with potatoes and some salad. You could mix few starters to try more fish and order a separate side dish

After a short wait, which was quickly passed by a few drinks, we came to the table. The portions were incredibly good for the money and also very large. The service was so incredibly friendly, which made the visit to the restaurant even better. The food came relatively quickly and in all it is an excellent restaurant, which I can highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant we happened to find whilst in port. Really friendly staff who recommended and described the cheese and sausages we were having! Delicious wine he recommended to have with the meal as well. Very reasonable prices too. Obrigado!

Absolutely perfect! The waiters were extremely friendly, polite, efficient and professional. We had great food and came here two days straight to test what we hadn’t tried yet on the first. Truly a great team of good advice and speak a handful of languages. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Absolutely delicious food! Incredibly tasty and fresh. One of the best grilled baby squid I have ever tasted. Sea food prepared just perfect. Local potatoes are heaven. The best place to eat at Ponta Delgada. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Truly recommend!

Amazing culinary experience! The seafood was amazing, very tasty and fresh! Definitely visit if you are in Sao Miguel Island. Seafood soup, tuna filet, Atlantic shrimps, pesto shrimp pasta, and a lot more...

Stopped for dinner while visiting Ponta Delgada and I’d 100% recommend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I shared a mixed platter of local sausages, cheeses, fresh fruit, bread, and accompaniments, as well as some fresh fried fish. Everything was delicious!

Fantastic dinner! We randomly stopped by one evening for a quick beer and watched countless people turned away as they were completely filled for dinner. We checked out the menu and decided to make a reservation for the following night. Glad we did because they were already filled when we arrived for our reservation at opening time (6:30pm). We started with limpets (see video) and they were amazing! My husband had fish soup and grilled baby squid with potatoes and a side salad. I enjoyed the shrimp with pesto pasta. Crisp white wine to wash it all down and a port wine to end the meal. Highly recommend but don’t even attempt without a reservation!

I wish I had more time in Ponta Delgada so I could come back and eat here again. The tuna in the tile was phenomenal, as was the zucchini pasta, mackerel, and sparkling sangria with pineapple. It's a tiny little restaurant - we were in the shoulder/off season so we didn't have to wait for a table, and the atmosphere is quaint and cozy.

if you don't eat here you are missing out. We came here 3 years ago and it was amazing then. It's even better now. The staff were really helpful and kind. The food was fantastic. We got a mixed enchidos and cheese plate which was huge. And some squid, livers, and meat. All the portions were big. The food was cooked perfectly. The ingredients were flavoursome and fresh. The quality here is great. It's worth a wait, and well worth the money (which isn't much). Also, the beer selection is great, good local craft beers in bottles, as well as the regulars on draft

We loved the place! We went there two times during our stay in Ponta Delgada and it was always terrific! I recommend you to reserve a table if you want to be sure to get inside. But being honest, we tired our luck waiting in a queue, and it was totally worth it!!! The menu has a waste range of regional products: meat, cheese, seafood. The portions are very big and the prices very resonable! Everything is delicious☺The service is very helpful, but I specially would like to thank André!! He's so nice and he gives best food recommendations :) Don't forget to order a chocolate mousse for a desert...

I LOVED eating here. These guys make delicious food, hustle and don’t mess around with nonsense. The lapas (limpets; mini mussels) were outstanding. Mousse was dynamite. Fish soup was delightful. I also just really liked the staff. Good people doing good work. Wish I could have eater there more often. My only complaint (and it’s small) was that the chairs didn’t have backs. 5 stars!

Wow! What an amazing restaurant. Yummy wine and so much (award winning) food for a reasonable price! Additionally with a lovely atmosphere. Can really recommend!

This place was absolutely amazing. Paul and Nuno were my waiters, and they were extremely attentive and respectful. When I timidly offered to share my table since it was so busy and so many people were getting rejected, Nuno even said that they don't need the money and that they wanted me to fully enjoy the dining experience. I got the Tapas Açor, the fish soup in the bread bowl, and the Tuna Steak that you cook yourself on a hot stone. Everything was absolutely delicious. The house wine was also great, but it's on a rotating selection so I can't vouch for all of them. Portion sizes were large. I can honestly say that I eat a lot, and so to only spend 31 euro on my meal is quite impressive.

I was there with my gf beginning of July 2022. Service was very friendly. We shared the melon with ham as a starter, my gf had also the fish soup in the bread. I had the a steak cooked perfectly medium as a main, my gf had the seafood skewer. We really enjoyed it!

What a great meal! This place gets packed during the weekend so make sure you make a reservation beforehand.

We ordered the octopus salad, flaming Azores sausage, tuna hot stone plate, beef pieces, and Azores sausage sandwich, all for 35 euros.

The hot stone dishes are a must have! You cook the fish/ meat to your desired preference and the dish comes with 3 types of dressing, beans, and sweet potato.

Service was excellent, they are attentive and patient, taking their time to explain each dish.
