Marlena and Sergio rock! Don’t let the 1-star reviews throw you. This is The Best Place for a nice 2-hour lunch on the planet. FWIW, all lunches in the Algarve take 2-hours. Took me a while to figure that out. 15 mins to get the order in, and 20 mins for the check everywhere. This is not Europe or the States. It’s chill; come prepared to do so.

They’ve been open 25 years, family owned, and seen a lot of change in their little oasis town, but they roll.

Everything we had was excellent. The pork is slow cooked to Marlenas moms recipe, and was off the charts. I highly recommend ordering the side order as Sergio puts the au juice on it, which will not be on the salad or main. Was so happy my crew ordered the side of carne asada (€6) so I had au jus to spoon on my carne salad. The bacon, egg burger looked off the charts as did the whole bass, and fish n chips. Cuddle fish tower, fried, with a side salad and yummy fries was great. We mixed mayo and hot sauce for dipping the fries. I know. Very American. Nice servings of wines were €3.

Marlena brought us watermelon and shots post-meal, and I talked to Sergio for quite sometime about Aliens. He’s cool. Was a great afternoon. Don’t come rushed, come relaxed to experience a beautiful afternoon or evening meal.

Concha is a small and cozy restaurant, with a terrace in front of it, on the main street of Salema. It is a family business: Sergio is the cook man (and a good photographer in the free time) and Marlena is the waitress. Both of them are very nice, in few minutes we became friends for life. They told us a lot of tips about this area. The food is good and is not expensive, good value. Sergio prepare every time salads very tasty that looks amazing, a mix between fruits, vegetables, olives and seeds. Marlena is the best waitress I have ever seen. Very good service, indeed.
Probably Concha is not the best choice for a large wedding, but to spend some pleasant moments with a snack and a glass of wine or a beer in a nice location is the right place. I highly recommend this place.

Food and service are excellent. Quite a little sun trap, albeit at the side of the road. Good pit stop on a winter's day.

My buddy and I posted up here for a long lunch after a surf session in Salema. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food is. The owners, Marlena and Sergio are wonderful. They recommended their favorite fish dishes, which were excellent, and the prices are very fair. Cold beer, great service, and excellent atmosphere. What’s not to love?!?

We loved our lunch here: the owner was such a very very lovely and sweet host! 😊 waiting time was definitely appropriate and waiting was worth every minute — it was sooo delicious!

The most kind service, i got amazing tips on the area, the coffee and the pastrys were super felicious and i even got a free cake and a coffee, cause i dared to go for a swim on the beach, which you can see from the terrace.
The locals go here often, and its makes a very nice mood.

Always friendly and happy staff! Good basic food and amazing fresh cakes. Nice location near the Beach of Salema and the only place here which has the evening sun! Recommendations!

I Always have a glas of wine there and sometimes a homemade Burger or just a plain fresh tuna sallad. The service is perfect and the owners are so friendly.

Herrlich, selten so gut gegessen. Der Fisch war frisch und lecker. Die Frau die uns bedient hat kam sehr freundlich rüber und hat uns sogar ein Rezept erklärt. Als wir ankamen war es sehr voll trotzdem war sie sehr nett und hat uns darauf hingewiesen das es zu etwas längeren Wartezeiten kommen kann, allerdings sind 35 Minuten für ein Essen vollkommen Ok. 👌🏼 sehr guter Service. Preise auch sehr gut.

As refeições são óptimas e os petiscos melhor ainda. O atendimento é excelente, um casal muito simpático que te faz sentir como em casa. Um local à beira mar ideal para almoços. Recomenda-se.
