Quinta da Marka

We were so pleased with our stay at Quinta da Marka. The setting is just fabulous, the quinta a joy to relax in. Angela was a wonderful hostess and saw to our every need the minute we arrived and throughout. Dining was lovely and the environment in every aspect a real treat. We look forward to one day being able to be there in warmer weather so we can enjoy the pool and outside environment as well. It's a trip to get here as with many of the Douro Valley quintas, but you won't be disappointed once you make the trip.

Angela runs an excellent Quinta. The rooms are first class, the common rooms, grounds, and view cannot be better. The hiking is great as is the food served. I recommend taking the train into Pinhao. Be patient, sometimes the train is late. Take lots of pictures. You will never have a view like this.

A beautiful hotel located in the amazing Douro valley.
The service was really fantastic and you feel right at home.
Food was great there too. We were struggeling to find somewhere to eat lunch, called the hotel and they made some tapas for us. We really appreciated this and goes to show their great service.
The room we stayed in was a little small, but very clean and seemed newly renovated.

We had a fabulous stay at Quinta da Marka! Such a beautiful place. About 10 minutes after arriving I was already planning my next visit, you could really spend some time here. Angela helped us make a winery reservation for the next day which was so appreciated. Definitely ask for their opinion/assistance ahead of time, don’t be like us lol. Confirm your directions with them ahead of time too, we went the hard way from just plugging it into google maps. Truly a delightful place!

We spend one night staying at this winery and truly enjoyed it. My husband and I were welcomed with two glassed of wine, staff was super hospitable and friendly. The view of the river and the area is picturesque, perfect place for picture taking. We had an amazing dinner and great wine, it was a three-course dinner, everything was delicious. After dinner we spend some time outside staring at the night sky, the area is very quiet and romantic. It was one of the best stay in Portugal, highly recommend!

Lovely vineyard! The view is absolutely exquisite, pictures simply cannot do it justice. The house itself is cute, rustic and has a very homey feel and the service is great. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend staying here!

Heavenly. Supremely idyllic. Marka is a wonderful coda to any day around the splendid Douro region. The location and the property itself are immaculate. The service is touchingly personal and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, which we found more than reasonably priced as a prix-fixe. We checked out reluctantly, wishing our itinerary had more days at Quinta da Marka.

Staff very attentive. Delicious homemade Portuguese food. The tour by the winemaker was educational and intimate. And the view speaks for itself!

Excelente para estadias. No coração do nosso Douro vinhateiro, património da Humanidade e literalmente "dentro" do rio Douro, na sua margem direita, entre o Pinhão e a Régua. Bellissimas instalações, muito bem decorado e excelente serviço.

A localização sobre o Rio Douro é fabulosa.
Quartos muito aconchegantes e um atendimento primoroso. A Angela é sempre muito atenciosa e prestativa.

Excelente local para um fim de semana relaxado com completa privacidade. O alojamento tem uma decoração clássica mas com bastante te charme é totalmente equipada com tudo o que precisa para a sua estadia. A Ângela é extremamente disponível e está sempre pronta a ajudar a melhor a sua estadia, seja por recomendações de actividades que pode fazer seja a disponibilizar refeições e vinhos para o acompanhar durante o dia. Vale muito a pena e está localizado numa encosta magnífica com uma vista privilegiada para o Douro.

Pousada maravilhosa. Funcionários super atenciosos. Café da manhã e jantar muito bons. A vista do rio Douro é simplesmente fantástica. As instalações lembram de uma casa de montanha, com todo conforto. Fica em frente à Quinta do Crasto. O acesso a pousada é feito por uma estrada de tirar o fôlego. Valeu muito. Voltarei sem duvidas.

Hotel espetacular com uma vista privilegiada do Douro. Tem que reservar com antecedência pois só tem 7 quartos. Staff atencioso e receptivo. A estrada pata chegar até lá é bem perigosa.

Local muito bonito! Quartos limpíssimos e confortáveis. Refeições como se estivesse fazendo-as em casa.
A equipe da Quinta então... De extrema educação e gentileza.
Inclusive passamos por uma situação adversa com nosso veículo e eles nos deram total suporte para que pudéssemos resolver o quanto antes.
Retornaria lá com certeza!
