Quinta do Bomfim

Lovely port tasting - you can have as little as one glass (or whatever number takes your fancy!) The staff are very knowledgeable and you can enjoy your port from a balcony with incredible views. This is a great spot if you need to get the train back as it's right next to the station.

We enjoyed some wines in the sunny balcony overlooking the Douro and other wineries, it was lovely!
Lunch was also great! Don’t miss out on the shrimps from Alentejo - the best dish we had there!
The table wines pair perfectly with the food, all prepared in a wooden stove and wooden oven, served by very friendly staff.

We had a high quality lunch there. Everything was great. Strongly recommended if visiting Pinhão. If you only have limited time to spend in the town, don’t give a second thought and just go there.

Absolutely stunning views from the outside patio! Amazing staff, the visit was really interesting and they have a great selection for tasting. Easy to reach by train from Porto, and the train ride is beautiful as you have views of the Douro valley.

We had the pleasure to drink good wine with a great view. The staff was super nice. We did a tour of the wine cellars and the explanations were very interesting! I would recommend!

Fantastic scenery. The Douro River and the hills along the river together form one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The staffs were kind and could speak good English so we were easily able to understand the history, the challenges and their strategies of the vineyards. We also tasted the wines produced here.

Pinhao is a very cute town and this was the perfect 1-day experience. Our tour guide was very friendly and gave us an amazing tour. The wine tasting was super fun. We smelled each glass first and the guide gave us info. Then we tasted them all with a gorgeous view of the valley. Great experience overall, absolutely worth it.

We arrived late in the afternoon without booking, but they still welcome us and gave us a lovely wine tasting with an amazing view of D’ouro

Went for a tour and had a great experience. We had Leonor as our guide and she had an extensive knowledge of the estate family and the ports. She went above and beyond to ensure that we gained a deeper understanding of the art of creating port, we are now leaving with a greater appreciation for the people and the art of winemaking.

We visited Quinta do Bomfim for a picnic on a very hot day in July, and it was one of our favorite experiences of our whole trip. We were welcomed by extremely friendly staff, and they gave us a map of the property and directed us to where we would have our picnic. After a bit of a hike through the vineyard, we arrived at a small house overlooking the Douro River valley, and had our picnic on the porch. The food was fantastic, the view was unbeatable, and we were the only ones up there so it was incredibly peaceful. The picnic came with a bottle of white wine, and we got to taste two different ports when we came back to the tasting room at the end of our picnic. At only 35€ each, we felt like we easily got our money’s worth with the high quality and amount of food and wine. Many vineyards offer tours and tastings, but this felt like a unique experience (and the port was one of our favorites as well).

Location, location and location. Cannot get any better when you add the weather and the amazing wines. Hospitality with a smile.

Do try to get a seat outside with the view of the river and try some amazing wines.

Best place to spend a day trip to the Duoro region. It's a short walk from the train station and they offer an interesting tour+tasting. They also let you wander the grounds which was a nice way to spend some time. Would recommend!

Excellent winery tour! On a hot day, being inside a beautiful visitor center with effective A/C was key! Great tour, loved the wine tasting placemats and all of the historical information and artifacts - museum quality and well done.

We did the port tasting with cheeses and bread with olive oil overlooking the douro river which was delicious thanks to the recommendations of our server Gabriel. Also the guy in the wine shop was super helpful. We did not get a chance to walk the vineyards or get a tour so we cannot comment on the rest of the facility. You must reserve in advance. We were very lucky and called the morning of and managed to book the last tasting spot available. We ended up arriving a bit early and while we were waiting, a few different people walked in without reservations and were refused at the door. With that being said, we definitely recommend visiting this Quinta!

A wonderful wine touring experience! The landscape and the winery itself are gorgeous. The service was exceptionally good as well. We did not get to do the tour as we did not book in time but we were able to do a tasting which was lovely. For 5 EU person we opted to walk the vineyard. We got these great Quinta do Bomfim hats and a water bottle. Half way through the hike through the vineyard there is a rest stop building where we were able to refill our water bottles. It is a fairly rugged hike up the steeply terraced property so the water and the refill were necessary give the 34 C temps of the day.

Beautiful setting overlooking the Duoro just outside the picturesque town of Pinhao. Friendly staff for tastings and a restaurant on the premises (closed on Sundays). We walked thru the vineyards on a nice late autumn day. A small lane takes you to the top of the hill and a small village. Very nice place.

Distinction wine tasting experience. The guide is humor and informative, letting us to understand quite a lot of port wine history and manufacturing facts. Great variety of Wine tasting menu and it really change my mind on Portuguese wine. They have really good red one here in a good price.
