Genuinely one of the best meals I've had. This was a fabulous lunch with the best view. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - I had to get a train within an hour or so and they brought my food so quickly. Would definitely come back. Note they are very popular even in the off season, so would recommend coming straight here when it opens to guarantee a table outside.

This restaurant is a family business, serving simple food prepared to perfection by their chef.
We had the creamy bacalhau, which was great, but our favorite was the segredos de porco preto.
The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and wines.
The view to the Douro and vineyards was beautiful. We loved the experience there, best place we ate in the region!

Super delicious! The black pork is very good portion that goes perfectly with the sauce and oil. Salad and wine goes well that we had a great time here and our best meal in Portugal 💚

Don’t bother eating a gourmet meal, this place is traditional and gourmet! The pork, beef, and fish were delicious! Cooked to perfection, the special grilling method this restaurant allowed flavor retention, not smoky, tasty! Veggie burger was fantastic!This seems to be a place where locals go to have a good meal. Beautiful location near the river. Best meal in Portugal so far.

Absolutely delicious dishes of perfectly cooked fish! My sea bream was a real delight and my wife enjoyed her salmon. The wines on the list all sounded good and we were quite happy with the one we chose. The view from the patio was a great addition to the experience.

The staff here could not be nicer, especially the manager. We had such a nice meal that we went back the following night and were treated to another gorgeous dinner. The Iberian pork is the star of the show, but the 'drunken cake' (a local specialty) more than gives it a run for its money. The portions are generous, and the food simple, full of flavour and beautifully cooked. Not fancy, just simple, quality ingredients prepared by a skilled chef. And the wine and port are wonderful too. Would highly recommend.

Had a delicious meal here, we had the steak and the sea bream. Both were well cooked and vegetables that accompanied them great. Explained gluten free options very clearly. Service was excellent

Delicious and copious food for affordable prices. A lovely interior decor and table setting. Large terrace on the outside with a beautiful view of the lake and the hills. Large variety of wine from the region, products are healthy and cooked on coco coal which add in flavour. Service is excellent, servers speaking multiple languages and being very nice. Absolutely recommend, it is definitely worth a trip.

I was not expecting this place to surprise me as much as it did.
We had tree meat dishes and the three were amazing. The sirloin, picanha and pork surprise and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this place! The food was super fresh and absolutely delicious. On top we got a very tasty wine recommendation and many interesting information about Duoro wine. The restaurant is managed by a quite young couple, who understand to combine traditional dishes with modern elements. Thanks!!

The best option in town… by far! Make sure you have a reservation. I’ve been here 2 days on a row, and both the sea bream and (especially!!) the picanha were delicious. The staff is amazing as well, so don’t miss out on this wonderful spot!

Stumbled upon the restaurant on the riverfront before our river cruise. Excellent Porto tonics and food. Highly recommend the caprese salad (big) and pork dish (comes with potatoes and salad)! Best “stumble upon” thus far.

Great restaurant, we loved the salads! Service is awesome, we've got a short intro for the wine even though it was packed. We had to wait approx. 30 min for a table but it was well organized, everyone got his/her place when it was their turn. Fairly priced and great view on the river!

Excellent meal tonight. Appetizer and wine suggestions were spot on. Ordered the pork secret and tuna entrees. Both were delicious and they even had a nice offering for a vegan in our group. Diego who looked after us was wonderful. Make a reservation... you won't be sorry!

Got lucky with a table outside for lunch without a reservation mid week. They have a vegan burger (pictured) which was very filling. The tuna steak was thoroughly enjoyed by others as well as the caprese salad (which is very large!) Friendly staff and a lovely spot on the river.

Excellent meat and service. I recommend the incredible Iberian Black Pork !
