Casa do Arco by Douro Exclusive

I brought my girlfriend here for a surprise treat for her birthday, this place looks great on photos but nothing can prepare you for how incredible it is in person.

We sat in the garden with a glass of Port until the sun went down then had an incredible dinner with some fantastic wine. The room was stunning, the way it looked, the way it smelled, the bathroom is spacious with a large skylight to make it bright and airy. The bed was super comfortable too.

Antonio the house manager is extremely welcoming and accommodating, he really goes out of his way to make sure you have an incredible stay.

My girlfriend said it was the best birthday she's ever had! I really hope we can visit again soon, we will be talking about this place for years to come!

We had an amazing dinner. We started our evening with a glass of white port, followed by warm bread and then a delicious salad of fresh burrata with endive. The steak was flavorful and cooked to perfection. We ended with homemade ice cream. We selected the reserve red to pair with our dinner. Tony was welcoming and the evening could not have been more perfect. We loved the wine so much, we purchased four bottles. Highly recommend!

We had dinner at Casa do Arco, last night. Antonio greeted us and got us seated, right away. The popcorn and Port starter course was a very unique pairing, which we enjoyed. We shared the steak price fixed dinner option. Due to a mushroom allergy, my salad was substituted; it was full of delicious fresh vegetables. My friends really enjoyed the burrata and truffle salad. And dessert was vanilla ice cream with decadent chocolate drizzle. We tried two of the M+A label Touriga Nacional wines and both were excellent with the steak. The chef deserves many compliments and we highly recommend that you visit if you’re in the area. Service, food, and wine were exceptional.

Was the perfect accomodation in a “remote”location to get away from it all and destress from life. Beautiful property with amazing and personable service from Tony who was there to help us with all our requests. Dinner there was a highlight and not to be missed! Beautiful place, the service is beyond excellent. Love the room with the Douro and river view. They made me a gluten-free and dairy free special breakfast, I can’t be happier.

Absolutely amazing experience. We rented the 3 rooms with friends and stayed two nights for dinners and wine tasting. Truly a family operation with the best people you could ask for. Beautiful property with fantastic food, great wines, and kind accommodating people.

A great experience in Douro. The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, both staying there over night in their gorgeous rooms, and also enjoying their great food. The grilled meat from their tasting menu is some of the best meat I’ve ever tasted.

Wow! Casa do Arco is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. We stayed on night, the room is beautiful and the view is impeccable. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious, probably the best steak I’ve ever had! Breakfast was also great, and the service is perfect both in the restaurant and the hotel, Tony took such good care of us! We’ll definitely stay here again if we return to Douro.

Excellent service and delicious dinner. We spent one night at Casa do Arco, and had a great time. We really appreciated the architecture and design of the place besides the wonderful scenery around.

First of all, I would like to give thanks to the hosts for their warm hospitality. This is a unique culinary experience with a splendid view. Very intimate place with limited tables, excellent five star service and food to die for. I would say my best meal in Portugal was here. I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely hosts and learn a bit more about Casa Do Arco’s creation and purpose. It’s super cool you can also stay here, only 2 very private rooms with incredible views of the valley and only minutes away from the main town of Pinhão in the heart of Douro Valley. I can see myself hiking into town from here and enjoying the area in a more laid back style, enjoying the country air and drinking some very special port. If it wasn’t for my wine tour I would have never found this place, now that I have… I wish for you to experience it as well. When I return to Douro, this is where I am staying.

We had the most incredible stay at Casa do Arco. Marcos and Ana have curated a beautiful experience show casing the Duoro Valley. We had the most amazing dinner and with a huge thanks to Antonio for making our stay so memorable. No where else you can stay where you can have such an exclusive opportunity. The views are breathing. We cannot wait to come back.

Me and my girlfriend went to Casa do Arco last month and it was an incredible experience. They only have few tables and the service is attentive and tailored to each guest. All the team were incredible, especially Antonio, so young but yet so experienced and professional. The food was incredibly good and we also had the chance to taste fantastic exclusive products such as red wine and homemade Port. It is an exclusive experience 100% and I would like to thank Casa do Arco and its staff for the incredible culinary and romantic experience we had. Obrigado!!!

What can I say that hasn't been written. This restaurant will have a Michelin star by the time we visit again. The view is amazing. Four tables.. you can't beat that. Views are out of this world. Service is exceptional and Marco the owner really spends time explaining everything. Wine list is varied and the food perfect. We got lucky to find a reservation on a rainy day. Make sure to plan ahead. Do not randomly drive up as there are only four parking spots.

And they have three beautiful rooms you can book and a sitting room you can chill in.

Start to finish it was an incredible experience. If you like to have an extremely personal stay, where you really feel like you connect with the hosts, then don't hesitate to stay here. The views are amazing, the food is wonderful, the rooms are spotless. But what really sets this place apart are the people. Marco and his staff are phenomenal.

We spent two nights in Casa do Arco and our stay was one of a kind! Caso do Arco offers everything you want from a hotel in a truly breathtaking setting: the architecture with the attention to detail and the big windows to admire the view, the excellent and personal service and the amazing dinner experience. There really is nothing to complain, a hidden gem in a spectacular landscape!

I was lucky to find out about Casa do Arco. This is an outstanding restaurant. The service was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The taxi could not go up the long steep drive to the restaurant because new stone was being laid. As soon as we left the taxi, Alejandro came down to welcome us and to help us climb the road, all the while apologizing for the inconvenience. He showed into the restaurant, gave us a tour of the "living room" and then into the dining room. The dining room faces the Douro Valley and the views are breathtaking. The owner, Marco gave us the primary service and paired our three course dinner with outstanding wine. The food was outstanding and when combined with the personal service and the view, this is a restaurant that delivers an unforgettable experience. Do not miss it but make sure you have reservations in advance.
