We had clams to start, sea bream to share for four people and salad. It was amazing, so fresh, so tasty. Give this place a try, it's excellent.

Best seafood we had in Portugal!

We spent 10 days in Portugal and ate at the restaurant twice a day and I can say without hesitation that this restaurant served the best seafood we had during our stay.

The service was great, the location is nice (small & beautiful fishing city).

For what you get for your money, I would even say that this place was cheap. I highly recommend it!

Very nice seafood. The restaurant specialises in fresh local caught shellfish and fish. Definitely worth visiting. We visited at lunch.

If you’re around Santa Luzia, you should try Capelo. It’s one of the best restaurants to have a great sea food experience, with the freshest fish.

Lovely and simple. We managed to get the last portion of octopus which was really really delicious along with the dishes we chose. Great service and big portions.

Wonderful place on the waterfront away from the tourist hotspots, but handy for the islands. The "Prawns Capelo Style" were magnificent! Dogs allowed outside; card payments.

We had a lovely time. Arrived a little late into a busy lunch service at 2pm, but the four of us (two adults, two kids) were sat quickly on an inside table and not left waiting for service. We were promptly offered a plate of olives, bread, a sort of cheese curd and little packets of sardine / tuna paste - very tasty. Our first choices of fish (octopus and squid) weren't available (perhaps unsurprising as we were late). However, what we ordered was fantastic - clams, sea bream and snapper. Exactly what a lover of fresh fish wants to see on a plate. Came with beautiful waxy new potatoes and mixed salad.

The dessert menu was extensive. A large offering of pre-packaged mass produced ice-cream products (OK) contrasted with some fantastic home-made looking fare. We had a fig pudding. Bloody lovely.

Bill came, bang on the price we expected given the quality all round. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing lunch here today. Fab service, we had dorado and sea bass both delicious ( we are from a wee fishing village on the North West Coast of Scotland so are used to good fresh fish and this was just as good!!) Managed to have a home made pudding and coffee so delicious. Thank you we will be back and will recommend to friends.

Great food, very very good service! Delicious grilled tuna, my friends had chateaubriand and grilled squids that were also fabulously cooked. Not the cheapest choice, but for sure a delicious one!

Excellent food, friendly service, perfect overall package. Try the Polvo Chef or any of the grilled fish. Well worth a trip down to Santa Luzia.

The in Santa Luzia is beautiful. A bit of untouched Portugal. The Fish Soup appetizer outstanding and the Dourada fantastic. Superfresh. Very busy and for a reason.
