Restaurante Come na Gaveta

We enjoyed an excellent meal. The menu offers something a little different from other restaurants in Tavira so we were pleased to enjoy the well cooked food in such pleasant surroundings. Overall we could not fault the evening and will certainly visit again. The Algarvian Board was an excellent choice to start and this was followed by Tuna Tachos and for my wife a succulent braised meat and vegetables. We loved the sweet potato fries. With some room for a dessert the choc mouse and the salted caramel ice cream finished us off and we returned home very happy.

This was such a lovely experience. We were warmly greeted by the staff on arrival, who were also very helpful when choosing menu options.

I went for the tuna sandwich which was honestly so delicious it made me want to come back and try out the other dishes.

The presentation was great and clearly cooked with love and care.

It's a good venue to come and have a chat over dinner; it didn't get loud, yet the atmosphere had a subtle buzz once the restaurant was full.

I'd highly recommend you pay them a visit if you're in the area. Easily 5 Stars 😁👌

Fabulous. We luckily came across this restaurant while walking around and were delighted. It’s about 5 minutes from the main square and so worth it, the service was impeccable and the waiters were really friendly while the food was delicious. The menu is varied and reasonably priced, we went for the tuna steak sandwich, sweet potato fries and Portuguese beef and it was all fab

This restaurant has enormous potential, quality, seasoning, standard and creativity in the execution of simple dishes that we already know, make it a special, tasty place to be enjoyed with a good wine, book a table if you are in a hurry to be served, Speaking of which, the service was impeccable, friendly, quick and attentive. The portions are just the right size to be savored with each bite. For me, I would venture to say that their cod dish (among the non-traditional recipes) is among the best I've ever eaten. But the ending is also impeccable, desserts are equally creative and tasty. Fair price with above average overall quality.

Typical dishes from the Algarve. Friendly and very attentive staff. Clean. Very reasonably priced. Our favourite place to dine in the area.

Lovely little restaurant. Fit us in at lunch as we arrived at opening time even though they were fully booked. Great food, atmosphere and really really good service. But my advice is to book! Haha. I would have been sad if I had have missed this due to my own bad planning. Tuna tacos were super good, so fresh. Crème brulee was out of this world.

We had a fabulous time at this little gem. The food was so well delivered, with flavors distinct to the region. We ordered the pork cheeks, which were delectably tender, slightly on the smaller side portion wise. We also enjoyed the black ink risotto. The servers were such a blast, they were full of fun and giggles. We’re from Canada, and having them speak to us fluently in English was a bonus.
We will definitely recommend them to our friends that visit.

Last minute decision to stop in and luckily got seated. We shared Algarve Board and Tuna Tacos. Absolutely delicious. Hands down the best octopus salad (part of the board) we had in Tavira. Service was as excellent as the food. We would highly recommend.

The first visit to this restaurant in Tavira though I had heard good things about it. The food is exceptional, fresh, high quality and cooked to perfection. The scallops and prawns were particularly good though all the food I would expect to be at a good standard. For the quality the price is highly affordable. The service was to match and I would highly recommend.

Fantastic food. We came back after 3 years and it did not disappoint. We had the famous tuna tacos, the octopus tempura and the creamy mushroom soup. Thank you for the experience! Definitely recommend and hope to come back again soon.

Didn't know where to have lunch in Tavira and Come Na Gaveta was a GREAT option. Nice cheese boards, great cook, awesome burgers and delicious tuna tacos (lots of tuna in them, NICE!). 100% Recommended

Beautiful place in a charming city. Service way over portuguese standards, one of the best we had in all our visits to the country. Tasty and well presented food, also reasonably priced. Don't skip the desserts, especially creme brulee and sponge cake with cheese.

We had dinner here on a Friday night. We made a reservation in person the day before. My beef pica pau was delicious, the best I’ve had in Portugal. My wife loved her scallops. The service was attentive and the atmosphere inside was nice. My favorite meal during our stay in Tavira.

Amazing tapas and cocktails!! This is a great tapas restaurant which lots of options of veg,meat and fish all different and really good, well at least the ones I've tried. want to try them all as they all sound good. Desserts also really good especially the cheesecake. Cocktails also have a good selection with good unique ones that went very well with the meal.cant wait to return to try more.

Fantastic drinks prepared with meticulous effort and delicious food and friendly staff. Cosy bar environment without being too noisy. My favourite restaurant in Tavira if you dine as two.
