Lovely and welcoming. The food is exquisite and full of local flavour. Try the grilled octopus, steak and for dessert Provacoa's famous fofa cake.

Great local place. Service was a bit slow but you have 2 amazing young ladies waiting on a packed place with only 1 cook in the back. So allocate enough time here and expect maybe a bit of a delay.

I had the cod fish and was one of the better grilled fish on the island. Crusty skin on the outside and soft and naturally salted on the inside.
My boyfriend got the swordfish and it was grilled very well.

Also, coffee here is superb!

Amazing, delicious food! The place looks modest, but the food is so good! Highly recommend! We have swordfish, bife a casa and salad with chicken - everything was perfect! The wine was also very good :)

Very fresh food and friendly staff. Their breakfast is also good, you can find a bacon egg and cheese here.

Eaten here twice, both times excellent and great value for money and good service. Coming back tomorrow!

We had the soup of the day and fish - everything was very fine ! It’s good to see, that it is no problem to share a meal - the waitresses were very friendly and it took just a moment for a fresh and cool beer - great!! After the meal and an espresso/ cappuccino we tried fofas - fresh prepared it is a sin and we had to take another 5 sins with us ;-).
Payment with card is possible and no problem - thank you for the good time at your restaurant !

Little hidden cosy gem in the small village of Povoação, we had delicious white wine a botle for 13€, regional beef in a nice sauce and lombo, which was all very tasteful. Do not miss out on the green salad with atum, it was delicious. Also nice local deserts and liqor, friendly owner, food came through quickly. Recommended!!!

I eat the famous cake fofas da Povoacao it was perfect, i think the best in town

Steaks are delicious. We had medium and medium rare. We liked the atmosphere there. It looked like a family business. Money well spent.

Awesome local food with very kind and polite service. Just worth going there for the fofas a local dessert similar to an eclair but much better filled with vanilla cream and topped with chocolate, simply delicious
