I drove out to the lighthouse in an Uber to photograph the lighthouse and had intended to use my drone. The wind was extremely strong and there would have been no way to get the original shot I had hoped for. I ended up shooting from the cliff to the left of the lighthouse and used the rocks and sea to frame up the shot. Worth the trip without even going into the lighthouse! Very cool spot in Portugal!!

Beautiful place near the end of everything. Very tall cliffs, nice scenery. Looks pretty dangerous though, so please be careful. You can take hikes around the area. Some regions have some very spike stones and others more round and flat. I was there on the weekend and the chapel was closed. There was also no restroom so be aware!

Can get pretty windy. But if the adventurer is still in you, there are some sketchy spots to hide from it. Be careful, cliffs are unstable but the view of sunset is on point!

Amazing place. South-western most point of Europe and the most amazing place to view a sunset. Get there at least 30 mins if not an hour before sunset. There's a lighthouse over there as well. You can easily spend an hour or more here. Probably the only place in Sagres/surrounding area that we liked.

Beautiful lighthouse next to the cliffs, this is also the most south-western point of Portugal. The cliffs are very beautiful with the lighthouse on top. It is beautiful that the old defense wall of a fortress is still present.

We stopped here on our trip across southern Europe to see the "end of the world" here in Sao Vincente. The views were spectacular with the sheer cliffs and water, with the Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea meeting.
We stopped and had a bite to eat at one of the stands there, hiked around and then continued our trip.

It's worth to go there. We went for the sunset, and I was shocked by the amount of cars and people. We had to park the car and go 30 minutes to the lighthouse. However, it was a fantastic experience. It would be best if you had a jacket there as the wind is severe, and it is super humid. Your car will return all salty

The Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park in Portugal is a breathtaking coastal haven. Its rugged cliffs, pristine beaches, and rolling hills create an enchanting blend of the Atlantic's power and Alentejo's tranquility. This park boasts dramatic coastal cliffs and miles of untouched beaches.

Inland, you'll discover cork oak forests, winding rivers, and peaceful valleys, with hiking trails leading to charming villages and hidden coves. This unspoiled paradise offers serenity and a sense of wonder, where land and sea converge harmoniously. It's a place where nature's beauty leaves an indelible mark in your heart.

Stunning view of the Farol. We got there when it was closed already, however it was quiet and empty all around. We really enjoyed the sunset time (besides the clouds). Deserves a visit.

If you love watching amazing sunsets then this is the place to go, the sun disappears into the sea and the skies are awesome. Also if you go during the day they have a cafe and gift shop there

Check out this sunset... In a day close to full moon, also try to appreciate the moon in the sky at the same time. It's magical and relaxing.
Also windy. Mind that, or your throat will feel the aftermath... 😅

winds go as fast as 40kmph here so beware, but the view of the edge is amazing and worth a lifetime. parking is free and so is the entry, the view is worth it all.

the souvenir shop is reasonably priced, and there is a beach with a 11 floor decline /incline which appears based on the tide.

A long, straight road leading through the inhospitable wasteland to the very edge of the world, where the land ends and the endless ocean begins. One wrong step means a steep fall. A harsh landscape. Watch the children and dress warmly, the strong wind here can be uncomfortably cold.

Most South part of Portugal. Beautiful views. Was very windy. On the way, you can see the serfers surfing on the waves.

"The end of the world" is definitely something worth of checking out if you are close to it.

Beautiful place, amazing views (especially the cliffs are breath taking). There is 2 souvenirs shops and 1 cafe shop. Cost nothing to enter, but unfortunately the light house closed and is not accessible to enter 😔.

Warning ⚠ there can be very windy and we were a little scared to go to the age of the cliff.

Even though the lighthouse was being repaired, the whole place was still worth the visit. You can just sit on the cliff and watch the waves crashing and not realise the time. Or watch the fisherman catch a few fish! Walking adjacent to the lighthouse, the cliff is a nice place for contemplation/meditation too. There's a restaurant and viewpoints with binoculars. Great shops with local art.
